LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Classic_Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Oh, I forgot that we were getting his Slave I! Do we have a confirmed Minifig lineup? Jango, kid Boba, and Obi-Wan (reused from the JSF) are guaranteed, but I wonder if LEGO will be nice and throw in Zam as well! 🤔 -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

I was thinking of it as a way to get last-minute Christmas gifts ("Oh, my AFOL always loved Blacktron - I'm getting them that for Christmas!!"). -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Classic_Spaceman replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The last one also had a skeleton, so five if we are counting skeletons as Minifigs (which LEGO does not anymore). The "pirate" was supposed to be a peasant, but LEGO did not have any peasant torsos in their palette at the time (it still bugs me, though, despite my knowing why it happened). A skeleton is basically a lock, as all castles have them now (how far we have come!). As for Minifigs, a Lion noble/king (depending on whether the crown mould is still in production) is a likely pick (and it would keep the queen's torso and legs in production), though I feel like if we were getting a king then he would be advertised in the set's name ("Medieval King's Castle", rather than "Medieval Knights' Castle"); we will definitely get two Lion Knights regardless of whether there is a king (if the castle is indeed for them), and also a peasant. Black Falcons and Forestmen would be good additions as well (in order to keep the pieces on PAB), but that is more likely wishful thinking than what we will actually get. -
DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hopefully BtAS, since despite LEGO’s love of Batman, we have barely gotten anything from that goldmine of a show (at least, not since the original Batman theme)! I would actually be OK with a TDK trilogy Batcave, as long as we get some new Minifigs (Ra’s, Gordon, Bane, Catwoman, maybe Talia or a new Scarecrow) and a Batpod! The question is whether it would be based on BB/TDKR (a more traditional Batcave design) or TDK (minimalist and not a traditional design, but more recognisable as specifically a Nolan Batcave). 🤔 -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Classic_Spaceman replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Creator sets usually skimp, but I think we will get at least four (three for $120, especially in a set with as much playability as a castle, is far too low!). Unlikely; the previous 3-in-1 had a generic name as well, and LEGO is going to keep the prize machine faction exclusive for as long as they can (at least until the parts are on PAB). Oh, that would be a really cool way of utilising the 3-in-1 format and encouraging people to buy multiple copies of the set! I doubt that we will get any new factions, but something like an A model Lion Knights’ castle (the one that we see in the dragon’s box art), a B model Black Falcons’ outpost (tower with wall section), and a C model Forestmen’s hideout (a run-down structure with more foliage) would be amazing! I am hoping for Lions as the main faction simply because their shields are still exclusive to the LKC! I would argue that the yellow-and-brown building and dark blue roofs are hinting at Black Falcons again, as the design is similar to the previous 3-in-1, and because only the Black Falcons and Black Knights were the only factions to use yellow Tudor walls (and we can rule Black Knights out by the castle being grey). That said, however, I also see red flags on the box art castle (as opposed to the prior 3-in-1’s blue), which could indicate Lions; if that is the case, then the colours may just be so that the new castle can be combined more easily with the previous one. Same! What other parts do we want to see in the new MKC? For my part, I am hoping for the silver greathelm, black greathelm, silver kettle helm, Falcons’ shield, both Lions’ shields, and the Forestmen’s shield; for Minifigs, I want a Black Falcon, a Lion noble (queen’s torso and legs), a Forestman, and the peasant woman with the dark green dress (same torso, skirt, and headgear as in the LKC). -

Maybe right after Christmas? Unless we see it early next week (Dec. 9/10), they will have waited too long for the reveal to be able to generate Christmas preorders, IMO. -

31168 - Creator Medieval Knight Castle 3-in-1 / $120 That dragon really is excellent, and I like the homage to Majisto’s dragon with the green body and red wings! Also, that castle in the back is absolutely the MKC - LEGO has been putting other (available) sets into the backgrounds of new sets for a while (most noticeably in the 2025 City sets), and what we see is a slightly larger/rearranged version of the previous 3-in-1 castle (which fits the $120 price)! -

Correct! A Sergeant Appo based on the Umbara arc would be a nice May the Fourth or book exclusive, but unless we get all our P2 boys, he would be an unnecessary inclusion in a normal set. Usually, though there are a lot of scenes in TCW where the Clones have their helmets off! Also, while we are on the subject, I wish that Cody had gotten a double-sided head. While his face is good, it is also a bit too aggressive for a default expression; also, since Cody has the standard Clone haircut that covers the back of his head, there would be no issue with giving him a second, more neutral, expression (maybe just the standard Clone face, but with his scar). Much better! The wings look proportional to the body now - I will definitely be doing something like this when I get the set! -
Holiday Madness Mafia: Day 1
Classic_Spaceman replied to KotZ's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
“That’s good to know - But it’s also what a Naughty Lister would say, so we’re back to square one I’m afraid.” “Thinking back over the day, we really don’t have any solid leads - I mean, Susan hasn’t talked much and Eloise won’t stop yapping, but none of that’s inherently Naughty List behaviour. Clark’s just been trying to figure out the logistics of the situation, which could be a Naughty Lister planning in plain sight - Or he’s just trying to solve the same mystery we all are!” “I’d like to hear more from Susan and Scott later today or tomorrow, and I’d still like to know what we all want for Christmas! That might give us some leads, if two of us want the same thing. . .” -
Neither of those things (a white/black colour-scheme and looking aerodynamic) were absent from the classic Space themes, though - Later CS, Futuron, and Exploriens all had similar (albeit blockier, given the part constraints of the time) ships to those in CS ‘24-‘25. The issue that I think you are running into is that over a decade of LEGO Space Port sets has constrained a white/black colour-scheme to only present-day (give or take 5-10 years) space exploration, so something like the interstellar spaceship reads as NASA rather than LEGO Space. Try mentally (or physically/digitally, depending on what parts you have) swapping the CS ‘24-‘25 sets to past themes’ colour-schemes, and I think that you will see how Space they really are!

"What?? No toys??? Christmas is cancelled!! NOOOOooooo!!!" "Yes sir, Mr. Santa Claus sir! I'm on the case! . . . Wait - You'll do what to them?! Maybe you don't have to kill them - I mean, don't you have magic??" "Clark, you think this is a game? Do you think Santa's just giving us a little a Christmas mystery to solve while we count down the days?" "Well, I can't imagine many of us would steal toys only a few weeks before Christmas, so you may be right there's only one perp!" "Hmmm. . . Where do you think we can find clues?" "I know! Maybe we can all share what we wanted for Christmas - We might be able to find out who's behind the theft based on that!" "I'll start: I wanted set 60418 - I wanna be a policeman when I grow up, but y'know, a good one; one to find all the bad ones and put them on the Naughty List!" -

And on the flip side, Nexo Knights lava monsters can be used to augment a Dragonian army! -
I am not really getting NASA vibes from any of the CS '24-'25 sets, except insofar as speculative future spacecraft, vehicles, and bases have evolved since the 1950's!

We already have Commander Appo, though a Sergeant Appo based on the Umbara arc would be nice as a May the Fourth (or other exclusive) 'fig. I agree; while Clones have the same face, they do not have the same facial expression at all times! A double-sided head (smirk/serious or calm/angry) would have been nice. As an aside, I would like to see another standard Clone head at some point (maybe a slight smirk or a determined expression with gritted teeth?); the existing one is good as a default, but some emotional variation would be useful. Nice work! Can you try lengthening the wings by two studs on either side? I like the design overall, but the wings feel just a bit stubby. -

There are not two visor widths, nor are the CS helmets stretching the visors - The difference is that while the motorcycle helmet curves out from the divots where the visors attach (making the visor more flush with the helmet), the CS helmets are cylindrical (so the visor appears stretched or oversized). -
@Operacion Saturno is not usually a troll, though; if this were a new member, I would absolutely just ignore them! Can you at least tell us one piece of information that only someone who had seen the set would know (and that cannot be guessed), such as Minifig design specifics, parts usage (is there a particular bit of NPU?), etc? That way, once the set leaks/is officially revealed and matches your info, we can apologise for doubting you? Agreed - I suspect that we will see most official reveals (and preorders up) on or immediately after Black Friday!

The answer about named Clones was accompanied by a meme of Clone Commanders - My bets are on Wolffe (because Plo), Bly (because Macrobinoculars), or Gree (because LEGO likes Kashyyyk and we have not gotten any sets for it in a while). Max also said that we are getting “At least 2 more” Jedi besides Plo Koon; while he could just be referring to Anakin and Ahsoka, I doubt that he would kriff with us like that! The accompanying image does include non-PT characters (Kanan, Ezra, Luke), as well as some dubious inclusions like Ventress and Krell, so I am not jumping to “OMG Shaak Ti and Depa Billaba confirmed!!!1!1!!!1!!” quite yet! Not really a ‘rumour’; Max (the source of the info) is reliable. -

If we got more than a couple of battle packs per year (and they were ~$15 again!), I would be fine with a Stormtrooper pack; as it is, I want less common Trooper variants, officers/technicians, and new Clone units! The problem is not that Stormtroopers do not warrant a battle pack, but that if we get a Stormtrooper battle pack, it means that we are not getting something new. The TIE Avenger is most likely a prototype, so I would rather not see it bundled with a generic fighter like an A-wing (I want an A-wing separately!); I can see the TIE Avenger (if we do get it) being marketed as a rival/enemy ship for the U-wing, so I would expect the price to be similar (and similar to the TIE Bomber, which was also sold individually).
