Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Considering that Bucky is on the team, either Hydra never infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D. in this timeline, they did but were discovered and stopped, or these Avengers are actually working for Hydra (either knowingly or not). In any case, the point of divergence for this universe predates the start of the episode (from the material that we have thus far, anyway). -

That explains the outfits, then! -
Are you referring to the space station? Also, we already got City Castle! Reddit.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

You said: I assumed that you were referring to the Octuptarra Combat Tri-Droid seen on Utapau (the smaller version), so I pointed out that we also see the Octuptarra Magna Tri-Droid (the larger version) on Mygeeto; the major difference between the RotS and TCW versions of the Magna Tri-Droid is their colour. -

A number of characters are wearing Medieval clothes - Maybe this is a universe were those styles never went out of fashion, or one where the Avengers formed during the Middle Ages. -

I also bought three! I think that the two alternate models really helped this set sell, since the Galaxy Explorer itself feels more like a flagship than a workhorse.- 53 replies

Not Captain Carter - S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Peggy Carter (she can be seen along with Goliath, Ant-Man, Black Panther, and who I assume is General Ross). Actually, Howard Stark would make more sense. Also, given Peggy's entirely grey hair (as opposed to the partially-grey hair that she had in the 1989 flashback in Ant-Man), I am now convinced that this is taking place in the 1990's. -

Maybe, or maybe those shots are all from the same episode. 🫤 -
There is an interesting new torso that is floating around - A neon yellow hi-vis vest with dark blue arms; what makes it interesting is that the colours suggest that it is for police, but the badge looks more like the fire badge than a police one. Maybe we are getting a new police badge for the prison island? 🤔

I thought that was Carol, but Mar-Vell makes more sense. Maybe this is taking place in the 80’s rather than the 90’s, then? I agree that Strange Supreme would have been a better choice for the CMF, but it is also possible that there is a set with the rest of the team coming, and LEGO chose to put the character who needed the most moulding/printing into the CMF series. That said, if this were something that they were inclined to do, we would have gotten Rogue in the CMF instead of Storm. 🫤 -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I wonder if George Gilliatt worked on any of these sets, as the orange-sand blue-black colour-scheme for the Cyber Drone was his idea (harking back to the old Titan XP set). 🤔 -
I am basing my assumption on discussions here and on other platforms, the fact that people who are neutral-to-mildly-positive about something rarely feel the need to broadcast their opinions, and that LEGO’s increase in gender balance over the past years does not seem to be impacting their sales in any easily-discernible way. Also, even among the people who have complained, more have stated that they would prefer male knights than have gotten aggro about the concept entirely. You would only have needed six, and did you really not have any male heads lying around? Back on-topic, I like the new Dragon Masters torso; I can see why people are having some issues with the silver collar (and I personally would have preferred blue to match the other cutouts on the torso), but I think that it will still look good with black helmets. Does anyone have recommendations for printed legs? The plain ones look OK in isolation, but I feel like the Minifig could look underdetailed next to the modernised Falcons and Lions.

What If. . . ? S2 trailer is out - We get some shots of the Sakaar episode, as well as of Goliath. The Minifig looks quite accurate, and the Ant-Man microfig accessory actually makes sense; it seems like he is part of a “What if Peggy Carter founded the Avengers back in the 90’s” episode, along with Hank Pym Ant-Man, T’Chaka Black Panther, Starforce suit Carol, and the Winter Soldier. The team also has a Quinjet that looks similar to T’Challa’s jet from CA:CW and seems to have Wakandan tech inside. IMO, this would make a good set in the absence of any live-action MCU content next year (and because this group, with the addition of Thor, seems to be the season’s main team (like the Guardians of the Multiverse were in S1)). -

"Unbeatable Adolescent", you mean? I was honestly missing the reference until I saw "Overbearing Superhero Dad"! -
There is not even a pot in the set, so it makes no sense to do it that way.

He needs the extra printing and dual-moulding, though; otherwise, he would look like the version that came with the mech. -
It looks like four of the modules have airlock attachments on both sides, so the station can be expanded outward.
