Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Deadpool actually had a couple of very brief appearances in the original show as a memory or illusion, so there is a β97 design for him. -

Additionally, Utapau is far more iconic than Yerbana (which can also easily be confused with Cato Neimoidia). -
LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I have thought since the set was revealed that it is actually based on the Battle of Yerbana; the presence of a Dwarf Spider Droid and lack of Airborne Troopers fits Yerbana far better than Utapau. -
LEGO Videogame Tie-Ins - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Is it clear yet whether this will be LEGO versions of Fortnite characters/skins, or just existing LEGO characters (e.g. Ninjago)? -
One new mould, perhaps, but we got close to twenty new elements (just that I can think of right now). According to multiple designer interviews, new parts, recolours, and prints are weighted equally in a set or themeβs budget (all count as βchangesβ). My guess is a combination of being smart and offsetting the cost of the mould with also being smart and ensuring that AFOLs continue to buy CMFs despite their being in boxes.

Blacktron is not technically confirmed, but the setβs description (non-licensed large black spaceship) heavily implies it.

Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures

Or 2x Rebel Fleet Trooper, 1x Rebel Honor Guard, 1x Rebel Ground Crew; the build would be a Rebel personnel carrier (similar to the one in the Yavin IV base, but with stud shooters on the front). -
They definitely reused it in the Guarded Inn because it was already in production, and so that the innkeeper looked Medieval (just using hair would have made her look like a Town Minifig). Regarding the LKC, sets have change (print/recolour/mould) budgets, so if we had gotten a new hennin mould, it would have been at the expense of another new part; the MTS will have its own budget, so new elements are basically a given (and since the goat was made with the CMF budget, we have another potential slot for a new part in the MTS). IMO, we will see the return of the classic hennin (or an updated version thereof) in the MTS, as it is an iconic Castle part.

I am not completely sure that the head is final, considering that Cole had the wrong head; I do think that it is likely to be correct, though. Cost-saving could be one reason, or maintaining consistency between seasons, or because the Ninja actually will have these designs in the show at some point. More like Exo-Force reborn, to me - And I agree; tech armour was a far overdue design for the Ninja! π Red over dark red is my guess, since that was his S1 colour-scheme (Lloyd, Cole, and Zane all retain their S1 colours). I am curious about this as well; I hope that they (and Wyldfyre) continue to have unique designs compared to the OG 6 Ninja, as I like the design contrast between the main team and the new additions.

Yep! It was used for the lights, antennas, dishes, lasers, and other accent pieces. -
[MOC] Blacktron Trident - NoVVember build

Very nice job! I really like how well you integrated the Bionicle/Technic elements, as they can often stand out when used in normal System builds! My only critique is the lack of any trans-red in the model; just a few 1x1 rounds added to the forward blasters and camera pieces around the dark grey exhausts would make a big difference and solidify the Blacktron I colour-scheme. -
This design works for her when she is not on an adventure, while this one is a better match for her classic design.

I would actually like to get alternate heads in sets, not so that I can switch them, but because it would make building armies with unique faces easier. Reversible male/female heads, however, would be horrendous! We would lose the benefits of both single-side heads (the ability to use with headgear that does not cover the back of the head) and double-side ones (the ability to show more than one expression)! The only context in which I would be OK with this kind of head is of it were for a shapeshifter or a person in a mask. I like them, but it can be frustrating to source heads to use with headgear that does not cover the back of the head. I am honestly not sure what the thought-process behind that head was, since the expressions are almost indistinguishable!

One of the new Super Mario sets has a medium nougat bow and flat silver lanterns; these parts were already available in 71391, but this set will put them back into production (and hopefully on PaB!). -
A joke is never late, nor is it early. It arrives precisely when it means to.
