  1. I just did some math, and using PaB average prices for Castle torsos, legs, helmets, armour, swords, etc; a Castle battle pack with one knight, one soldier, one archer, one horse, and a barrel with some extra weapons comes out to $19.58. This would translate to at least a $20 set (since the cost of instructions and packaging also needs to be factored in); I am not sure how well a set like this would sell, since most builders want more soldiers and archers than knights, and because the heads would need to be swapped out to prevent an army of clones. 🫀 Itemised list: Horse (Saddle, Lance with Flags): $8.46 Knight (Armour, Helmet with Plume, Sword, Shield): $4.10 Soldier (Helmet, Spear or Axe, Shield): $3.32 Archer (Helmet, Bow, Quiver): $2.51 Barrel (Axe, Spear, Sword): $1.19 That is probably because the cost of such a set is subsidised by the prices of the other sets in the line (both villains are not exclusive, and Lloyd is absolutely appearing in a larger set later in the year); this would not be the case for Space/Castle/Pirates battle packs, as those themes just get single large D2Cs.
  2. This - We already got Pirates and Space roller coasters and a space-themed fairground ride in City, so I can see something similar for Castle (and Pirates again) in the future. Both themes have enough popularity for a CMF to sell even without cross-theme synergy, so I can see this happening as well. LEGO has to know by now that a Castle CMF would sell insanely well, considering how many army-builders there are! Unless they make new designs that are exclusive to the packs, I am not sure that these would sell particularly well (since existing parts are available on PaB); also, they would need to be priced such that the packs are a better deal overall compared to just buying the exclusive elements on PaB.
  3. Oh - Which set am I thinking of, then? 😬
  4. Are you referring to the reddish orange from the City Space sets? If so, I am not sure how it would look for hair, as it seems somewhat metallic to me. It is the same symbol - Nice catch!
  5. Themed series are especially good in the era of boxed CMFs, since it cuts down on the frustration of not being able to fondle out the 'figs that you want. I hope that this is what we get going forward (1 general, 1 licensed, 1 themed).
  6. Ninjago is not ending for a while, based on what we know about the plans for the Dragons Rising series.
  7. That was the first thing I thought of, as well! I think that Lord Ras has a mech in this set, which would bring the overall value up. That said, I do like the design; it just looks a bit small for $70.
  8. It looks like trans-yellow in other shots. 🫀
  9. I feel like an Adventurers Icons set is likely in the near future (just speculation; I have no information).
  10. I am not sure how yellow Minifigs would look with quasi-realistic features, though Fortnite is cartoon-y enough that it could work.
  11. It looks like something from Dark Forest to me. They reused every part from the bard aside from the legs and plume (neither of which were needed) in the LKC, so I am not sure why they would not do the same thing with the goatherd; the legs are far more reusable than the bard's were.
  12. You seem to forget that Ninjago also seemed weird when it first released; we have just gotten used to it over the past 13 years. Yes, IMO, along with Ultra Agents.
  13. They say that the figure is real, but give weird and contradictory hints, and then refuse to confirm the identity of the character (despite saying that they would). 🫀 We definitely guessed it eventually if it were real, since basically every Human character who appeared in live-action and wore some white was mentioned (to include extremely obscure background characters!) - @Falconfan1414, can you confirm?
  14. Buildable Chewbacca saw buildable Rocket!
  15. Scallywag pirate, pirate captain, highwayman, dino tracker, and bandit also appear (hiker and birdwatcher showed up in the trailer).
  16. Maybe, but why remove the stirrup? Also, it is possible to animate the existing crossbow piece to look like it is firing the harpoon piece (see TLM, etc); I am not sure why it would need a new design when all of the other tools/items that I have seen use existing moulds. It allows the crossbow to be stored unloaded, different ammo to be loaded in (such as tranquilliser syringes), and more elaborate weapons to be made. I can see LEGO doing it. Interesting - I had thought those pieces were just a weird one-off for the Avatar 2 sets.
  17. I expect both, especially since the torso can be reused for a Forestman.
  18. The alien is the same species as in the City sets, as this figure in this is reused in the City Space 4+ set. Considering that the alien is arriving at the Friends base on Mars via a meteorite, however, the City sets are in a different part of the solar system (as the aliens seem to be native to wherever the City astronauts are).
  19. Staying power that a standalone game (like LEGO Universe) would lack.
  20. That is what I am thinking as well. Maybe Egalt is at the Dragonstone Temple? I am curious about how the gong and mallet will factor into the story; Ras is using them to power his army, but how? Is Ras travelling around and collecting various powerful artefacts to take back to his master? πŸ€” That, or there are really big trees in this forest (which is entirely possible!).
  21. Yes, but her torso looks too modern to really work in a Medieval setting.
  22. I was thinking the same thing! The basement bedroom could be reworked into Tony’s garage.
  23. Could the January wave be based more on the shorts, then? March/June, and then any 2HY sets would be based on S2 proper. πŸ€”
  24. Nothing that I can see, but I did catch the CMF Hiker and Birdwatcher (with inverted hat and hair colours), though.
