LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

No. We need 2-3 pilots, and the set is only $70 - We are not going to get 5-6 Minifigs in a $70 set! I am expecting to get two Clone pilots (one named), a Jedi, and an astromech; maybe a third pilot if LEGO is feeling generous, though putting one in the Advent calendar would be more likely (see the third Mando S3 Praetorian Guard). Bly and the 327th will probably come in a ground vehicle (AT-OT, perhaps?) and/or a battle pack, not a starfighter. -

I agree, but I also think that a helmet would be too large for him. Maybe a moulded headpiece would work? -

Arm and side-of-leg printing on the Dragonborn paladin! Also, the Mindflayer's arms would look excellent on custom Black Falcons!- 686 replies

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
Classic_Spaceman replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Hopefully the part is just delayed in being added to PAB, and not IP-locked to DnD. 🫤 -
Maybe, but I think that there is a time-skip implied (space exploration has progressed considerably since LCA, for instance), or at least it can be rationalised as such.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

Sand green and dark green peasant torsos are from the LKC, and all of those parts are Bestsellers. -
Him being the police chief feels out of character, as well (and where is Wheeler? He would have absolutely joined the No Limits crew!). Maybe there is a time-jump of 5-10 years since LCA? That could explain Duke's change in character and Wheeler's absence, as well as how LEGO City has become more high-tech seemingly overnight.

None of the new MTS torsos are in the Bestseller category, oddly. Maybe LEGO is trying to buy time until they can build up enough stock? -

Hopefully, but they could just be taking some time off (like the Star Wars helmet line). -

Maybe, or maybe they are just now catching on that we want more Spidey villains than just Venom and Venomized variants! -

The rumour was also R2-KT, not QT-KT (I get the confusion, though), so maybe the set is something else? We know very little about it, and a second ultra battle pack with the same (generic) Minifigs as the Tantive IV feels unlikely to me. Maybe New Republic Troopers vs. Imperial Remnant Stormies? The 1984 quote could be referencing the NR Amnesty Program. . . 🤔 Maybe just post the top tiers publicly, so that we know who to trust (and if a leak comes from anyone else, we know to be sceptical). -
Apparently there is a Formula 1 subtheme coming in the January wave - Sets 60442, 60443, 60444, 60445, 60464, and 60474. I suspect that this will be the 2025 version of the prior Stuntz and Space 1HY subthemes. No prices are known yet, but I suspect that sets '42-'45 will be individual cars, with '64 being a transport truck and '74 being a racetrack set with podium and pit (similar to the old Ferrari F1 sets). I also think that we will get a colourful cast of themed characters for the drivers and their cars (as we did with Stuntz), since otherwise the line would be just a bunch of near-identical builds.

+1! I think the set with QT-KT is the only one left that we have not seen, so if the 1984 quote pertains to something this year, it will be/be in that set. -
Is there a lore reason for why Superman needs a mech? Why does he not just use his laser eyes to defeat Lex? Is he stupid? Jonkling aside, these sound OK (which is good for DC!) - The Supermech is a good way to get a new Supes, and hopefully it means that we will get Superman movie sets later in the year! Lex will probably be wearing armour, since without it, he is just a generic bald guy in a suit (which also gives a lore reason for the Supermech, if he is using Kryptonite). Maybe Superman will have printed and dual-moulded legs that can be reused for the movie version (since while dark azure is a bit closer to the on-set appearance of the new costume, LEGO will probably just go with classic blue). The Tumbler would be a pass without the three long-overdue Minifigs as I have the Batman Begins one, but maybe this version can rebuild into the Batpod? An actual ejection feature is unlikely at this size, but an alt-build is possible. That PPP is heinous, though, so I will only be picking this one up on discount! Not much to say about the 4+ Batmobile (I would not be shocked at all if they reuse the 4+ Batcave's Man and Jonkler Minifigs), but maybe we can get a new Batman variant or a new villain? From @Brick Clicker: 76301 4+ Batmobile / 63 pieces / $19.99 76302 Superman Mech vs. Lex Luthor / 120 pieces / $14.99 76303 Dark Knight Tumbler / 429 pieces / $59.99

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I like that the $15 mechs now include a second Minifig - Hopefully Ultron is MCU-based! "Venom's Venomized Car" is the most LEGO Marvel set ever, but Anti-Venom is a nice change of pace; also, we finally get a Spider-Verse set! The only characters mentioned are Miles and The Spot, but a $40 set would probably include a few more Minifigs; Gwen is the most likely, but there is also a good chance that we get 2099 (or another member of the Spider-Society). I am not sure what "Iron Man Cars and Black Panther" would look like, but it sounds like a Spidey and his Amazing Friends set; also, given the price, I assume that Red Hulk will be a Minifig (which is honestly fine, since we are getting a proper Bigfig one in the CA:BNW set, and he would pair well with the Minifig Hulks that we have gotten before). Spider-Man 2099's Flying Car? 😈 -

The Ackbar Trooper pisses me off - LEGO could at least have given us unique torso and leg printing (the BF2 212th Specialist comes to mind, since we already have the helmet and macrobinoculars for him)! Another, better, take on the not-Clone trooper would have been a Jedi Bob Trooper, as it would both allow the figure to have a helmet (enabling a complete Clone Trooper to be made, such as a P1 officer), and reference the "You Clones make terrible Jedi" deleted RotS scene.
