  1. Whatever kind of cloak these hypothetical Cydonian soldiers are using is likely to operate on the same principle as the cloak on the dreadnought. If we know how to track that, we know how to track the solders - If we need to. We may not need to, though, if you're right about the rain. If the weather's unpredictable, the Cydonians will have fewer opportunities to deploy their cloaked troops.
  2. Oh, please. Breaking cloaks is easy. You ever push your hand through water, like in a sink or a tub? Air works the same way - You move something through it, and it leaves a wake. You find the wake, and you've found your cloaked ship. I'd think a pilot would know that. I wonder. . . What's the weather usually like, here on Gnorra? Do you have control systems, or is it natural?
  3. OK. . . I'm getting some mixed messages, here. First, you say that the Cydonians have cloaked soldiers, then you say that they haven't updated the shiplot's security measures? Do you know that these soldiers exist - Have you seen any evidence, or just heard stories? If it's the latter, they could just be a myth spread by the Cydonians to keep the Gnorrans in check. As for the dreadnought - It's in atmosphere? Wouldn't it be extremely easy to find there? All you'd need to do is monitor upper-level wind-currents and look for disruptions in standard airflow patterns - Something that large is going to have an impact.
  4. Are we sure that this is real? The image that I saw was horribly (and seemingly intentionally) blurry, so it appears to be fake. ?
  5. The blue Mando seems to be based on the Death Watch/Clan Vizsla warriors, who do have purple accents on their helmets:
  6. Personally, I think that “Occult” should be combined with “Arcana”, and “Religion” with “Culture” - “Occult/Arcana” would be used for spells and anything directly to do with the supernatural, while “Religion/Culture” would deal with gathering information about planets’ traditions, beliefs, practices, etc. Essentially, “Occult” is supernatural, while “Religion” would be beliefs about the supernatural.
  7. Got it - Just had to adjust the targeting system to compensate for its movement! Well. . . That sounds extreme, but OK - Glad we could help. That’s the plan - right now, anyway, so if you have any information, we want to hear it. By the way, you still seem nervous - It’s clearly not because of the Oozlings, so would you prefer to talk somewhere more private? Agreed overall, but I’d like to swap my Philter for your Potion. OoC Note: Are we actually calling these “Philters”, or is this just a typo? Since a ‘philter’ is a love-potion, ‘filter’ (something that purifies) makes more sense contextually.
  8. Can you say what 76151 is - Perhaps something from Falcon and the Winter Soldier (Sam, Bucky, Zemo)?
  9. Seriously? I’m trying again.
  10. Could Proficiencies also be used to bolster specific spells (e.g. Deception for ‘Obfuscate’, Medicine for healing spells, etc)?
  11. Not Sabrillos, then. Fine. <Saatak’a D’evlor. . . Zh’ekor> Ok - We need to surround them, so they can’t go anywhere. I’ll take the Stoic from D6, Energy setting.
  12. I agree with Igaz - We’re not breaking into anything right now - I just want to talk to that droid. It could’ve seen Jek, or it could disable the gate’s security for us - Which we won’t know, if you trigger security protocols or wipe its memory. No. No. We’re not sabotaging that ship - I need to check the flight logs and communications data. Besides, we need the ship to stay intact, in case we need something to sell to get into the auction. Dunola: Think for a frelling second - Didn’t Faeja’s description of these “oozlings” seem a little familiar?
  13. Igaz: Be nice - I’m sure she’s just rattled by whatever these “oozlings” are. Faeja: Your name’s ‘Faeja’, right? Before we open that door, is there anything else we need to know about these creatures?
  14. Do you mean that the number of times that spells can be cast is equal to a character’s Spirit stat? I assume that it is something like what Loki does from 2:10-2:17, for a certain number of rounds.
  15. Of course not - And we know what we’re doing, so we won’t be setting any alarms off. Well. . . I, let’s see. . . We can talk to that droid - if you can wake it up. It’ll probably respond better to one of its own kind.
  16. On this note, can spells be used outside battles?
  17. Sounds easy enough to me. I’ll check it out.
  18. I will use Obfuscate, and play it as a holographic decoy (if I understand correctly what it does).
  19. I am, and remember what I said - Hold your fire until I get a good look at these things. Faeja’s description of these “oozlings” sounded pretty familiar, don’t you think?
  20. Bailey, I appreciate your honesty, so I’ll return the favour: Our intel on Gnorra also indicated that an unknown object was stolen from the Cydonians here, and that it’s for sale at something called the “Umbra Auction” - An old underworld marketplace that the new government has been trying to shut down. Gnorra is about to be officially inaugurated into the Cydonian Collective, so putting an end to this tradition would cement Cydonian leadership over the planet. My mission is also to stop this auction. Right now, this is all I know, but when I find out anything more, I’ll come back and tell you. Just pass any and all information up the chain as an anonymous tip, and I’ll bet you’ll be promoted off guard-duty. I don’t want anything in return - Just to know that I‘ll have a little unofficial backup, in case things get rough. See you around. Enson! ENSON! Sorry - Comms are glitching out. Guard’s a dead end, but I might check back later and see if they might’ve seen Jek. I’ll come with down to the shiplot to take a look at those ooze things, since Tester-Three’s ignoring me.
  21. This works for me - Particularly for Mission Zero. ? I would rather have long-range comms available, albeit jammed by a ‘handwavium’ field, than not to have them at all.
  22. I disagree with this, since it would clutter threads with redundant exposition. I prefer just to assume that characters who are in the same area can overhear each other (and, as such, comms would simply extend that range).
  23. You're a walking computer, Tester-Three. Just one more thing: Hold your fire on these. . . creatures. . . until I can review the holo. I have a suspicion, but I don't want to say too much out-loud.
  24. In a case such as this, though, the MM can simply have comms be "jammed", blocked by "interference", or use some other technobabble explanation for why players cannot communicate with each other. Look at Star Trek, for example: Whenever an Away Team needs to be stranded on a planet for plot reasons, there is some kind of disruption to the ship's transporters, requiring the crew to use a shuttlecraft (which, of course, crashes/is disabled). Time flows oddly in a game like this, anyway, though, due to the effect of different time-zones/responsibilities/etc on players' posting and availability. Additionally, when in doubt: Tachyons. ? I see a party with comms as essentially the same as a party whose members are performing different actions in the same general area, information-wise (For example, when the party is exploring Haurbo City, the characters are having different conversations, but the players have access to the same information).
