  1. Taskmaster's hood is white in the comics, but black/dark blue in the movie:
  2. How does a lack of communications-equipment make MM-ing easier? I assumed that allowing the party to split, but not needing to keep up with what information each character/player has, would be the easier choice (over either splitting the party and compartmentalising information, or forcing all members of a party (particularly a larger one, such as this) to engage in only one action at a time). I think that all characters should have standard-issue "Heroicomms" as part of the universe's lore (Perhaps with the option to upgrade them over time).
  3. Officer - I didn't catch your name: I wasn't trying to get you to abandon your post - I know that you have a job to do, which is why I asked if you might have me escorted to the Bureau. Security seems pretty tight around here, so I didn't want to just go wandering off by myself. I'm sorry if I came at you a bit aggressively, and I didn't mean to startle you - I just want the item recovered as quickly as possible. I'll head over to the bell tower and talk to the Enforcers - If you could call ahead and let them know I'm coming, I'd really appreciate it. Name's Yelana Fennix, if I didn't already tell you.
  4. The reason why I think that we should have comms in the game (and why I assumed that they would be present), is both because of the ubiquity of communications devices in sci-fi/sci-fantasy, and because it allows the party to split - without the players and MM needing to manage which characters have certain information. Additionally, communicators allow visual data (holograms, pictures, etc) to be downloaded or scanned by one character, then used by another.
  5. Wasn't planning to - I just wanted to ask you a few questions. I'm agent Yelana Fennix, and I'm part of a team working on behalf of the Galactic Lifeform Endangered Species Protectors - or "GLESP", for short. We received word that a, well, now-former, employee stole a valuable item from GLESP, and that he brought said item here to Gnorra. Our intel also suggests that he plans to sell the item soon, so we've needed to act quickly. I have more to say, but. . . I'd rather talk somewhere more secure - We believe this item to be extremely valuable, and I don't want any. . . unsavoury types overhearing. The Enforcer's Bureau sounds like they can help us in our search, so would you mind escorting me - or having me escorted - to the Bureau's headquarters? And - Excuse me. You know I can hear you two, right? Tester-Three: There wasn't a commander assigned to this mission, and I pulled your files when I was frelling with my visor. We don't have much time, so we need to use our skills as efficiently as possible. Dunola: If you don't have an integrated comm system - which I'm pretty sure is standard-issue - Then how the frell can I hear you? As for unwanted attention, skulking around and not answering Enforcers' questions will just draw more attention - Particularly when they could help us. There's no need to make unnecessary enemies. I'm going to follow up with the Cydonians, but let me know if you need backup. Oh, and Tester-Three: When you encounter one of those. . . "Oozlings", scan it and send me a holo - I want to know what they look like. Officer: I apologise for my companions'. . . indiscretion - The pressing nature of our mission seems to be putting some of them a bit on-edge. Anyway, before we're off to the Enforcer's Bureau, I had a few more things I'd like to ask. I'm relatively unfamiliar with Gnorra and the Cydonian Collective, so could you tell me what you know about the planet's new leadership? Also, I've been hearing some of the locals talking about something called "Clangers" - I don't think they're referring to the bells, but I also don't know what they are referring to. And by the way - What's your name? I'd hate just to call you "Random Grey Guard #3"!
  6. Nat looks excellent, despite the overused/inaccurate hair, and it appears that she has new printed legs (rather than the reused CW-Hawkeye/IW-Nat ones). Tasky, conversely, looks terrible (at least, from this image). ?
  7. Ah! That’s it - Transmitter’s scuffed. I’m not going to be able to connect to IRIS for the rest of the mission. Great. Frelling great. Let’s see: Obvious surveillance, guards on every corner, patrols, and the Cydonian sigil on buildings - I’m really not seeing the “subtlety” that guard at the dock mentioned. In fact, I’d say the Cydonians are a lot weaker than they’d want people to think. OK - We need to find that auction, so split up. Tester-Three, Dunola, Igaz: Check the shiplot for Jek’s E-11, but don’t sabotage it (I’m looking at you, Tester-Three) - We may need something to sell to get into the auction. Kleeck: Talk to that woman, once the patrol moves on - See what her problem is, and if it could have anything to do with our mission. Eson: Talk to the guy Tester-Three’s been interrogating. He doesn’t seem to be making any progress - And those trees look like some kind of shrine, so make sure to ask about Gnorran and Cydonian religion. I’ll talk to that guard up ahead, and see what I can find out about the “Enforcers Bureau” - Vannoy mentioned that one of the items for sale at the auction was stolen from the Cydonians, so they’re probably already looking into it. If we explain that our interests align, we might be able to get some help from the Cydonian authorities. Once each of us gets the intel we need, we’ll reconvene here, then move North to the Central Forum. Everyone stay on comms, and relay what you see and hear to the rest of the team. If you encounter Cydonian security, be polite and just tell them the truth about why we’re here. Vannoy’s political beliefs are irrelevant - Our mission is to find an egg, not liberate a frelling planet.
  8. Wait - What outrage?? Is there some kind of internal conflict going on? Also, is there any reason why we shouldn’t contact local authorities about this “Umbra Auction”? If they really want it shut down, they may be willing to work with us. It’s been difficult without IRIS, but I’ve been examining the sigil, and. . . I hope this makes sense - It seems to suggest that the Cydonians think of themselves as benevolent overlords, or even some kind of divine figures or representatives! The sigil looks like five circles, possibly representing planets, with one as the ‘leader’, in a cloud - that, or it’s a person with their arms out - and with rays of light shining down. Does this match anything you know about Cydonia? Perhaps the Cydonian System has five planets, with one being the capital? If Cydonia is a theocracy with a state religion, that would explain both the mentioned outrage and how they can maintain control over their territory.
  9. Which could be exactly why Jek came specifically to Gnorra. Moreover, since GLESP already considered cloning, they clearly don’t have any qualms about it, at least when it comes to preserving endangered animals.
  10. So, cloning is a possibility. As for the Cydonians, Jek could have worked out a deal - In exchange for allowing him to use Gnorra’s cloning facilities to preserve the Sabrillo, some of the clones produced would be turned over to the Cydonian Collective for their. . . own purposes. I doubt that people who’d regard an endangered species to be a delicacy are concerned about the ethical implications of cloning - Particularly if it guarantees them a steady supply of that species.
  11. You’re assuming that he plans to sell the egg, though - The only actual intel you have is that he took the egg to Gnorra. He may have other plans for it. What was the natural habitat for the Sabrillo? Anything like Gnorra - Or Cydonia, for that matter? It's reptilian, but it looks like it can move through water, and, according to our database, Gnorra’s surface is mostly water. Interesting. How is Cydonia maintaining control over such a large territory? It can’t be outright conquest, since their military forces would be overstretched, so it must be something else. Good - And nice thinking, Toaster! I was wondering how the species could ever be repopulated from just one egg. If Jek really is as devoted to GLESP as Vannoy thought he was, he may be trying to save the Sabrillo through cloning. You can keep it - I just want a closer look at the sigil. We might be able to tell something about Cydonia and its intents from the design. I’ve not done this without access to IRIS, though, so I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to discern. OoC: Underlined text indicates action. @samurai-turtle can keep the Landing Pass, since I will be a bit busy tomorrow, and I do not want my potential unavailability to hamper the party’s progress.
  12. Anyone else feel like something's off about this mission? Tech glitches are common, but I've had a bad feeling from the start. <IRIS - I need visual data on GLESP activist Kyler Vannoy> <IRIS. . . > Dammit - Still not getting anything. Fine. Mr. Vannoy: What can you tell us about this "Cydonian Collective"? Our pilot droid. . . uh. . . Kayarr. . . mentioned that they have a few planets under their control - Do you know how many, and what the conditions are on their other occupied worlds? And about the egg: Why is it important - aside from being a nearly-extinct species? Who stole it, and why would they bring it to Gnorra? A planet under occupation isn't usually the best place to sell stolen goods. By the way, how did the Sabrillo go extinct - well, almost, anyway? Good for you. I think stealth's the way to go, though - At least until we know what we're up against. Also, if you're done with that pass, I'd like to take a look at it.
  13. That’s what I’d hoped, but no. No problems - Just a .02% chance of fiery death. OoC: I changed the format of OoC notes, so as not to be confused with Tester-Three’s speech.
  14. I wanted to make clear what posts were in-character (beyond stylistic differences), and I generally use italics for emphasis. Furthermore, I was planning to convey thought and action via speech, rather than out-of-character exposition. I can try to modify the style, though, if it will be a problem. ?
  15. Really should've reinstalled my jetpack. Roger. . . Roger. Recently? How recently - A few dozen cycles ago, perhaps? Explains the low crime-rate - and why I can’t seem to make contact with the IRIS data network. This'll be frelling fun. Yeah, I know that. You don’t get emotions, do you? OoC: In case it is not clear, I am playing Yelana as sarcastic/snarky, not actually being that way towards anyone.
  16. LEGO can make non-standard or printed capes in the spongy material, though: Thor, Valkyrie, Royal Guard.
  17. <IRIS - I need all available data on the planet ‘Gnorra’> Sorry. . . What? Riiiight. . . I feel so safe. Do we at least have jetpacks or parachutes on-board? If we can’t make the landing, we may need to jump from low-orbit. Anyway, if it won’t distract from your “piloting”, is there anything you can tell us about this mission that we don’t already know? OoC: In-character text is in bold.
  18. Will the rules be in the first post, so that if we need to reference them in-game, we can do so more easily (rather than needing to look through this thread)? Also, I think that my stats are finally correct: Yelana Fennix (Classic_Spaceman) Species: Human Gender: Female Age: Unknown Tech: Nano-adaptive armoured bodysuit with life-support pack / Blast-proof visor with sensor-integrated HUD and long-range comlink Bio: Personally, little is known of elite spy Yelana Fennix - aside from the fact that she utterly despises the term and would rather be referred to as anything else. Professionally, Fennix has a reputation as skilled infiltrator and hacker (aided by her armour's emulative capabilities and uplink with the IRIS* data network), and what details exist regarding her operations suggest that she is backed by a larger organisation (though nothing to this effect has actually been proven). / *(Information-Retreival, Intelligence, and Surveillance) Vitality: 6/6 Strength: 2 Skill: 2 Smarts: 1 Spirit: 1 Proficiencies: Deception 2, Technology 2, Long-Range Weapons 2 Credits: 10 Equipment: Modular Dual-Mode Sniper Rifle (+1, Long-Range Energy Weapon / +1, Long-Range Kinetic Weapon) Inventory: Cloaking Generator, Hacking Chip
  19. Green and Light Grey recolours of the updated CS helmet (For the Exo-Suit and Rocket Boy Minifigs, respectively). Light Grey airtanks. Unprinted PDG/Black and Dark Blue/Black legs (For First Order officers).
  20. I did not mean that receiving parts in an incorrect colour is not an error - I meant that the existence of such parts is not one (unlike your example of lighter-than-normal Light Grey bricks).
  21. This is almost certainly not an error, as Yellowish Green is an unlikely colour for mis-moulded parts. Since the other Gloombie attachments in both Waves 1 and 2 are Trans-Neon Green, the intent is probably for the Yellowish Green pack to be used for structural elements/detailing (Fairground), and the Trans-Neon Green pack for Minifigs (Subway, Stunt Plane).
  22. Just2good also got the Yellowish Green Gloom pack in the subway, but the other sets appear to include the Trans-Neon Green version:
  23. What outfit is Yelena wearing - The white jumpsuit with green vest, or something else? Do we have confirmation otherwise? There are enough scenes and characters just in the trailer to warrant a second set (Red Guardian, Nat’s snow suit, Melina, (presumably) Tasky’s henchmen). Red Room clones exist in the comics, so Nat’s MCU fate is completely determined by contracts and planned storylines.
  24. I missed that. Perhaps the two should be merged? ?
  25. I created a thread for "Leaf" speculation, so that this one can stay on-topic:
