  1. Correct. You can see the 11L beam in the render you quoted as well.
  2. Wasn't really following the contest topics, but I just saw this on RB main page and it caught my eye immediately! Lovely stuff! I have a soft spot for the old Blacktron, still have my Battrax from 1987. I may have to 'borrow' its canopy to build your ship (it's the only trans-yellow I have here)...
  3. The bare mechanism is shown below. The 'trick' is just LOTS of bracing. Surely there's a lot of pressure on the teeth of the 8T gears, but they're with two of them, and neither me nor any of the test builders had issues with breaking them. @langko's original mechanism was shown in this post but I had to change it to the one shown above to make room for the much larger new shocks.
  4. Just out of curiosity, I counted how the parts are distributed... In build order: floor, shifter tunnel & gearbox: 432 seats (together): 204 fake engine module: 206 rear axle module: 763 front axle module: 873 side modules: 472 brakes & wheels: 48 dash (incl. instruments, steering wheel, A/C, glove compartment, pedals): 294 roof & cage: 272 removable engine cover: 76 rear clamshell: 481 frunk: 187 doors (together): 314 baggage (with contents) & HOG: 104 Together that's 20 more than 4706 as per the official inventory; the discrepancy is due to me counting here directly from the virtual model which contains some temporary helper parts.
  5. @LegoHoops Awesome, eager to follow your progress! Nice touch with the Italian colors
  6. Like 2 years ago I bought pneumatic tubes from this place as well, works great.
  7. Why not both? At least that's what I do: build something big, play with and look at it for a month, then disassemble. Rinse and repeat. That way I don't run out of parts nor shelf space...
  8. I heard rumors that someone from that corner had already started to reverse-engineer the model like I did anyway, with the predictable consequences. So it doesn't seem like we had anything to loose by publishing building instructions.
  9. Detailed building instructions have just been published in Rebrickable! https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-142670/astyanax/pagani-huayra-bc Both @langko and @LvdH have thoroughly tested them, and contributed further modifications and suggestions. Many thanks to both!
  10. I have no affinity with the source material, but I do love this model for how it looks by itself, it really pops!
  11. @Ngoc Nguyen Yes, but no. I just tried it and as @2GodBDGlory predicted, it fits fine -- a bit of friction but not too much. But as @Zerobricks said, the 'snaps' at the end of the plate's bar will remain in a compressed position, which for that reason makes it an illegal connection in TLG's book. Whether you care about this, is up to you of course.
  12. Some Speed Champions sets have suspension, like 75875 and 75894. See also set 70829. There are probably more...
  13. Another solution I use occasionally: and connected by plates on top and bottom (1x4 sideways or 2x2 square).
  14. I guess you count the half-bush as a 1L thin liftarm? You can also take a 3/4 pin, insert a bar, then mount a 2L black pin and build on that.
  15. I for one highly appreciate the honesty and courage of the side-by-side pictures! Keeping in mind it's a B-model, I think they really show you did an amazing job!
  16. Literally 5 minutes before I saw this topic I got sent a meme showing that the Purosangue is just the Mazda CX-30 with a few yellow stickers. Anyway, your model looks impressive, especially loving the front!
  17. I'd build my side mirrors like this: By using a click hinge we can transition to a plate , from where we arrive in System-land, such we can build the mirror thin and elegantly (IMO)... I also changes a bit the connection to the wheel arch, such that only black is on top. For reference:
  18. I guess the first is more accurate -- I just proposed the second to get a mean look in the dark, if the tooth is glow-in-the-dark. I'd prefer the second for that reason alone...
  19. I'm gonna get a handful of part 72008 in Black when they hit PaB in 3 months time (hopefully)! Super useful part in my experience!
  20. So the towball-with-axle got a new mold? https://rebrickable.com/parts/3985/ball-w-cross-axle/ No idea what's changed...
  21. Very impressive!! Been to the castle in 2021, nice and 'quiet' due to covid measures. This looks amazingly accurate indeed.
