I have spotted a few groundhogs in city areas of the DMV too. So much so that its pretty normal.

The one I'm most disappointed in is the auto repair shop. I was hoping that it would be something similar to 60258. But it ended up being just something that looks like it belongs in Speed Champions. I'll consider heavily on whether or not I should buy it now. Btw, I don't know about anyone else, but the mechanic guy in that set reminds me of Nubby Stevens from the Lego Island saga. Yeah! My favorite part of that set is the new boot uniforms. Those make boots stand out the most. For clarification, boots are what they call rookie officers or officers in training here in the states. Its a term derived from "Boot Camp" which the training stage for police since police has become more militarized.

So you're a fellow town builder, aye? Do you have a gas station in your town? Perhaps you can use them there.

Ok! So I'll only be getting a handful of sets for 2023. But I think I will mostly stick to older sets from this point forward. The small handful would really just be from the great vehicles subtheme and repair bays, which I'm kinda disappointed in - more on that later. Otherwise the only others I'm getting are the two bikes and the police academy. I may consider the emergency vehicle headquarters, but I'm kinda disappointed in that one too. Well at least road plates aren't gone. I guess there's hope.

Now THAT is something I'd pay for.

Yeah that's concerning to me! Lego has revealed 2023 sets from other themes, but not City. That's a shame.

Hmmmm.....that's odd. Both on my computer and phone, I can see them. I guess that depends on what type of browser you're using.

I don't mean to be so negative. I'm hoping for the wave to be revealed too. But I'm setting low standards. I don't think it'll be all that exciting.

DUDE!!!!! I remember having that set too! As a child who was building towns since preteenhood, that building fit perfectly into my town. To date, I think I have owned every since service center made by Lego from 2000 onward. Though the one from 2020 made me go back to the 2016.

So this was something I did out of pure boredom. Back in October, I had ordered the 7638 Tow Truck off of eBay for a good price, but then I thought that it didn't really match well with my gas station. Recently, City has been doing nods to a lot of its classic sets in current city sets. In 2015, there were two nods. One was a tv chopper in set 60097, which was rather eerily similar to the TV Chopper from 1998. There was also this space set, which was a nod to a classic set. But I don't remember what it was. 2018, they did 60183 Heavy Cargo Transport and in 2021, they had the 60289 Air Show Transport; both of which were obvious nods to the 6357 Stunt Copter N Truck. It came to my mind of.....what would a revival of the tow truck from the 6337 Fast Track Finish set look like. So with that being said, here is a pic of my nod to the old Octan tow truck. For the side stickers, I had some Xtra sticker packs where I got the Octan labels from plus another Octan label that I got from eBay. My method to making this MOC, which is basically a recolored 7638, was really just to replace all the orange with white and all the bottom with red and green. I also replaced the blue lights with orange lights as those are what we use as warning lights here in the states (Just to clarify to our members from other countries). Yeah! Most Lego fans I know are either on YouTube or Instagram - mostly the ladder of those two.

WHOA!!!!! That's nice man! $49 is even better.

I guess because Lego sorta believes that shopping and leisure are things that girls seem to he more into while boys seem to be into danger situations. It's kinda sexist to think that. But that's just how Lego operates sometimes.

Did I tell you that the grocery store was on sale yesterday? Like literally only $56 USD. Basically, when it's on sale, it's priced the way it should be. Also, would it be too much to ask if Lego DIDN'T include road plates with the buildings. I also hope the police academy is an actual building. I'd hate for it to just be a set with vehicles and people.

Not really unpopular! If you go around the forum and accross the internet on YouTube and various social media platforms, a lot of people (myself included) agree with you there. The school set is the best example.

The one I'd definately buy is a explorers sticker pack. Like with space, arctic and divers.

In THAT case, they'd be saving the worse for last. I mostly do older City sets anyway so I wouldn't have anything to worry about. Um.....thanks Clone, but I kinda was hoping for one exactly like the picture I posted. 😬

City is probably not going to be leaked until December. Ya know, they always save the best for last. Given the circumstances, this wave may actually be better than we think.

Okay! One of the things I wanted to see in sets was a mixed brown hair piece. Anyone know if one of those were made for minifigs? If one of those weren't made, I hope it gets made for 2023.

Ok! There is one thing that I wish Lego would make for City - Sticker Packs! I have lots of ideas on sticker packs for City. Back in 2019, Lego released an Xtra sticker pack. On Ebay, you can see sellers selling stickers for good prices. It's obvious that stickers make up a good enough bundle for Lego as MOCers use stickers to add detail to their buildings. For example; restaurants, vendor vans and snack shops seem to be a thing in City so why not a food sticker pack? A transport sticker pack could include companies such as Octan, Special Transport, the Transit emblem <-o->, or Cargo. Then there is the obvious first responder themed sticker pack with the police, fire and medical labels. Even the explorers can have a sticker pack; space, arctic, divers, etc. I'm just saying, I'm sure it would turn heads.
