  1. Now that's something I'd pay big money for! Like if it were a huge box set, I'd buy.
  2. @Ondra @Toastie But.....wouldn't having all printed pieces make the sets expensive?
  3. I don't mind the stickers truthfully speaking. But I would like to see what a big set would look with all printed pieces instead of stickers.
  4. Nice one!
  5. Nice! I could use something like those in my town. Of course there have been sets to have vending machines, but these MOC vending machines look better than all those combined.
  6. I don't speak for anyone else, but why does that car give me Lucid Air vibes?
  7. That looks amazing! The orange actually makes this one stand out so much that if Lego were to host a castle building contest, they'd likely give this one first place.
  8. Yeah that is true! Ninjago was full blown inspired by teen anime. Hands down!
  9. Speaking of which, lets be honest. Friends now feels like it's more geared towards teen girls now than little girls. Just the whole aesthetic of them doing teen girl things such as being on their phones, going to the mall, driving and I think some of them are in relationships.
  10. You sound like a valid point maker. I hope we can have more conversations in the future. I agree! Lego is evolved faaaaarrrr beyond a toy company. It feels more like a culture or a lifestyle now. I can now say for a fact that about 50% of the company - which is halfway - caters to not only adults, but teenagers as well. Heck, given the classic brick boxes, we can say that Lego even caters to the elderly.
  11. You know though? I think I may be one of the very few people out there who actually regards the updated NA2 version as my favorite. The pop up headlights on the NA1 are cool, don't get me wrong. But the NA2 version just looks more.....stylish to me.
  12. The Lego community as a whole can be somewhat flawed in those regards. The thing is, there was a time in life where Lego actually put blood, sweat and tears into their City sets. But that's only because there weren't many options for town builders during that time. Back in the late 2000s, you just had your City buildings and the various houses from Creator (GOD, I miss those days) and people just seem to want that to return, but its not going to return. I don't think people hate City, it's just that we prefer City sets like the ones from the late 2000s and pieces of the 2010s. In that case, they could just go to Bricklink or Ebay and buy so older City sets if that's what they want. But like you said, with the modulars, Chinese New Year (the buildings in those are useful too), Creator 3in1 and the various buildings we get from Friends (those are good for town builders too) and other useful town builder products that are sold, Lego probably saw fit to simplify City as to not have so many buildings and focus on simple building instead.
  13. City may be made for children (I put that in bold for a reason), but there are still LOTS of town builders - like myself - who depend on City sets (primarily the vehicles, people packs and sometimes the buidings) to complement their cities. Some town builders even make their cities from City sets and Creator 3in1 as they don't have enough money for modulars or they just don't want those in their town. So even though City is made primarily for people under 12, I think City still has a good enough AFOL following to at least keep the school and grocery store around a bit longer - just to name a few.
  14. I actually agree with this! I think I'll stick to older sets. A lot of the new sets for 2023 are kinda lame. The Great Vehicles are the only City sets they seemed to have actually put effort into.
  15. Pua? Yeah he's licensed. He has to be if it looks in anyway identical to the pig in Moana.
  16. Reminds me of the Type R version.
  17. Given that we have just seen Brian's R34 in the Speed Champions theme, I think there is room under the theme for a Fast and Furious side hustle for them. This line of F&F models are mostly based off of the old school F&F movies where the focus was based solely on the import scene in Los Angeles. Vehicles like the green Eclipse, orange Supra, purple Maxima, etc.
  18. Wow! That's a nice one. Sorta reminds me of the streetcars we have in DC, only difference is the colors.
  19. Yeah! The main square set would've been the perfect time to include them.
  20. Yeah! What was up with that? Or an actual Mary Sinclair figure.
  21. Yeah! I think that might've been the finale. So much for the possibility of introducing a bus driver character. 😔
  22. Good one! But no, I meant the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia area. That's what we ALSO call the DMV.
