I think this is the first time I may actually buy some Friends sets. As always, it seems more building oriented this year.- 634 replies

To my shame, I got the set at the store where it is fairly overpriced.

You clearly didn't pay attention to what I said. I said its too big for my town. If you're a town builder and you want it for your town then go right ahead. I'm just saying for my town and my town alone. In my town, no truck exceeds the loading guage of the fire engine in set number 60216. With that being said, any vehicle that has any wheels bigger than those doesn't go into my town. I understand it seems rigid, but that's just how I am when it comes to my town.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I can't wait until the new pizza place is revealed. -
what do you call your lego city/ names for lego city?
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to legoguy1984's topic in LEGO Town
The name of my town is Poodaville! It's one of the supporting towns of Lego City as Brooklyn is to New York. Because it's connected to Lego City, Poodaville uses a lot of the services that Lego City uses. -
If we're talking City sets, I say mostly older sets, preferably pre-2018. You may have to pay a little more out of your wallet, but it's worth it in the long run. As far as post 2018 goes, I'd say mostly town stuff such as the doughnut shop, main square and grocery store is worth it. I'd also consider the train station from this year - which in my opinion, is the best train station ever done.

Now I have to agree with you on that one, @Vilhelm22. I agree, the theme was waaaaayyyyy better back when there were no named characters. Matter of fact, City back then was awesome as a whole. Not just because of there being no named characters (with the exception of Chase McCain), but the buildings and vehicles looked better back then too. The fact that the minifigures remained unnamed opened a whole slew of opportunities for imaginative play because I could come up with names for the minifigs myself. The current generation of City sets kinda forces names on you. So I agree with you 100%.

Assuming, you mean stationary eateries, I'd say the 60292 had a pizzeria. That set is still on shelves. That same year, a small bakery was in 60306 Shopping Street. But if you mean food places in general, Lego did release the 60347 Grocery Store this year.

Ebay has a few on sale.

OMG!!!! I loved this set. The VIP promotion is unfortunately the only way to get one for those who want it badly. Personally, I kinda cheated and ordered mine off the internet. Got in for $30 USD. It firs right in my town too. My favorite part is the little drive thru with the teller machine. I can also fit a four stud wide car there.
