  1. Yes they are exciting and considering that the transit system is an essential part of civilian life, I'm surprised that it never got it's own subtheme in City. Let alone, I'm surprised it doesn't appeal to children. Being a bus driver for the second largest transit company in the states, I feel insulted. Yeah. But those practically lived in the shadows.
  2. I hope to see a revival of the cargo subtheme too. I hope to also see a butcher's shop. But that's more likely to be seen in a mega set. I don't think a zoo is likely though. So they do bring children there and test them out? Test them out with some buses and see if a transit theme is likely. I also would like to see a City Dump.
  3. I think Lego City should push out more random buildings. Like 60204 Hospital from 2018.
  4. I would like to see more of those tbh. It always annoyed me how when I would play on my baseplates, they'd come apart while I'm rolling the cars around. I had to start connecting them with flat pieces. I think they should also do parking lot plates.
  5. I always wanted them to do that. Like make a random office building with no interior. Then people can design the interior anyway they want.
  6. I'm surprised Lego hasn't gone that route.
  7. I've never really been a technic guy. But I think that looks amazing. I hope they have plans to make an SC version. That would be awesome.
  8. The 2020 wave for Ninjago seems very promising. Tbh, Ninjago never disappoints. So I'm setting high standards. I think I'll be picking up that Gamers Market. That seems like a good addition to Tokyo Avenue.
  9. Oh my goodness! I didn't even realize it. But I've been promoted to Knight status! YAY ME!!!!! :sweet:

I'm still not sure what the statuses actually mean, but I'm glad for you!

  10. @lifeinplastic I prefer to go to the official site to get bricks. Unless I really have to use them, I'd stay far away from Bricklink.
  11. I would like to see at least one of these subthemes be released in 2020. Likely: Bus - This subtheme would establish the bus system in LEGO City. I would add subways and other modes of public transport and call it the transit subtheme, but buses seem to be easier to market to little children. For the past years, it seems like buses often lived in the shadows in regards to CITY vehicles - with only two sets being solely dedicated to the public transport system such as the 8404 Public Transport and the 60154 Bus Station, the latter being just a bricking bus with a stop and newspaper stand. With a bus subtheme, this would really bring buses out into the spotlight. Btw, Lego. Can you make the buses blue? Paramedics - Well....Ambulances appeal to children just like police cars and fire trucks. TLG obviously doesn't want to use blood and gore for their generic themes so the civilians in these could just have minor injuries like on the head or arms. Little boys love to save lives, right? Paramedics do just that. Outback Enthusiasts - A direct revival of the Outback theme from 1997. For those of you who aren't early 90s babies or older like me, the Outback theme was basically about the desert land based in the country of Australia. Unlikely: Pizza - The pizza industry seems to also be very huge on the generic side of the Lego universe. I'm kinda having mixed feelings about this one. Children love pizza and the idea of pizza being delivered to them - but who are those people who make it and have it delivered to them? Now this probably wouldn't sell unless City did something extra special to advertise it such as a pizza party at a police station or fire station for the TVC and mini movies as its primary story line with Lego's legendary pizza delivery dude, Pepper Roni as the main character of this subtheme. News - Ok! By looking at the sets, mini movies, television commercials (TVCs for short) and the new LEGO City Adventures series....you can clearly see that everyday in LEGO City is anything but uneventful. I doubt all that happens without people reporting it. Now this is that subtheme that pretty much ties into the other subthemes under City as these guys basically report the many accidents that happen. So I don't think any big advertisement is needed for this as its pretty much a background subtheme. Mail - Postal work isn't very popular, but I believe its marketable enough for at least one wave. Advertising this one would be an easy one to do too. But the question is....will it appeal to children enough? If not, I'm sure TLG can make this subtheme a one year special. @Peppermint_M Don't worry. This has nothing to do with that other argument. This is a totally different subject under 2020 City. 12. @Collector245 @OwenMistika @Aanchir @Lego David Help me revive this topic!
  13. I would like some Ninjago sets. I plan to build a small oriental community in my town. So there must be Asian people.
  14. I can use something like this. How much did you get it for?
  15. @Modeltrainman I would too.
  16. @Modeltrainman I thought that only had to do with politics and war. If that law includes religion, then a church is definitely out of the question. Though the laws on war keeping war out of the Lego universe have been broken on several occasions with the Knights Kingdom and Castle sets tbh.
  17. HEY! I'm on Instagram too! I just followed you.
  18. @Peppermint_M I've only known him as that on Lego Racers.
  19. This thread hasn't been commented on in a while.
  20. That would go well in any city. You know, of all the years City has been made, I'm shocked and appalled that they have never made a church. At least as a one year and done type of set. It may not appeal to children. But itll definitely appeal to teens and young adults.
  21. I wonder what else 2020 has in store for us other than the vast majority of goodies we'll be getting. I'm still looking forward to the tuning shop and ice cream truck.
  22. I need some too. I plan to put a basketball court in my town soon.
  23. Yeah! I do have to admit that baseplates are overpriced. I'd probably try to find some on eBay at least $10 cheaper.
