  1. @Aanchir Though it's not really something we really want to happen... I think Lego simply turns down or outright discontinues those certain themes that are deemed boring, unprofitable or just plain pointless whether its targeted to kids or adults. Because believe it or not, older fans like playability too. I wouldn't consider Pirates pointless or boring considering how much action and playability there is. But perhaps it didn't sell well so they stopped making them.
  2. I want Racers to return too. Maybe as the Speed Champions Tiny Turbo series.
  3. I speak for at least 40% of the fanbase.
  4. @Aanchir I don't think he's really talking about how much they sell. I think he's talking about a talley mark situation. Like as in, how many licensed themes compared to generic themes are in Lego.
  5. See? I didn't even say you said I was wrong. I was just letting you know where I stand. That's all. Tbh, that kind of attitude isn't helpful to me or anyone either.
  6. No. Don't merge my post. ....and no it's not gonna end. Deal with it.
  7. @Aanchir Nah. I'm standing by my statement. Chase is better.
  8. So obviously the Race theme is coming back judging from the service station, race cars and tuning shop. The one I want to see revived under City is Sports. While it wasn't initially a town related theme, its not like cities don't have stadiums and almost every little boy I know loves sports. So I'm quite positive that will make a tidy bundle. They also can make up their own team names.
  9. Yeah. That was my only disappointment and pet peeve about 2018's trains. No station other than that platform that came with the passenger train and no shed for the engines to rest. At least we got a decent crane for the cargo train though.
  10. I like the F40. It can also double as a civilian car if you think about it.
  11. I was hoping I'd see one for the 2020 police sets. It would've been super easy as all they would need to do is to use inspiration from past Lego City buses. I'm hoping they'll bring the Brickster back too. It looks like he made some cameos in the 2013 aand 2014 police sets along with Lego City Adventures. So I'm keeping hope alive.
  12. Tbh, I don't mind the extra police vehicles. It's the annual police headquarters that irk me. This years police headquarters felt kind bland. But that's just my point of view. My professional point of view. I loved Elite Police. In my opinion, I would've called that the SWAT subtheme. But unless you want the actual SWAT team to raid your company, I wouldn't do it unless permission is granted. EDIT: But the best thing about it is that this proved that there didn't need to be a headquarters for it to be enjoyable and it sold like hotcakes. Then there was Prison Island. can we even call that a police theme. I mean, yeah the vehicles were labelled as police vehicles. But if was more focused on the prison system than a local police force. Just sayin. In my opinion, they were missing a police bus for that one. I hope the scene is a street race with colorful sports cars. Police set and civilian cars at the same time. Both CFOLs and OFOLs are happy. I personally hope he's using the monster truck to rob a grocery store. I'm thinking a police drone. Similar to the fire station. I hope it's an armoured car too. I also hope it's a separate jail cell. Metro PD nostalgia anyone?
  13. You crazy as all get out. Real police vehicles look like THIS!!!!! I'm actually trying to acquire the truck. Only the truck though. But the only place I can find that is on ebay. If only I could find one on eBay.
  14. Don't forget about the Metro PD. That jail was separate. I hope the 2020 Police Station is similar. My opinion is, a police station every year ain't needed. Take the mountain police vehicles out to the mountains to catch the crooks and bring them back to the jail in the city. That's how I'd do it. You'll need a mountain police prisoner transport of course. Should be an easy build there.
  15. AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH What an atrocity!
  16. @OwenMistika EXACTLY!!!! There should be a subtheme around that line of work. City is focused on the more central lines of work. I'm pretty sure the transit industry is a vital line of work in the City. It deserves a subtheme slot in City. But I think that is a discussion best left on the page in the link below. https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/9448-ideas-for-new-city-sets/
  17. You know what! Of all the Lego magazines out there, City magazine is the only one we cannot obtain in the US. We have all the others except that one.
  18. @OwenMistika Don't revive what was trash. World City was trash.
  19. @MAB @Aanchir @TeriXeri I have taken some time out of my life to show you a video to explain why I say what I say. I think City Beautiful can better tell you.
  20. Unfortunately, this year - City only did four subthemes this year; Fire (which was my favorite), Space (my second favorite), Sky Police and Great Vehicles. Though I guess we can really just count great vehicles out since that's just a line of standalone vehicles (I actually prefer it that way tbh) and Sky Police is basically an extension to the classic police if you take its livery into consideration. But I think six should be the limit and minimum for subthemes. Along with some side sets that is. I don't believe they're harmful. I guess I just tend to see more of those than anything else. Well I'm glad to hear that. I'm not crushing their dreams. I never said I didn't want to see them at all. I just said for one year, I'd like to see sets that don't involve cops, robbers, firefighters or explorers. If you look at some of my other statements around this forum, you'll see that I actually like the fire sets. I also love the regular police that comes around every three years. I'm not crushing anyone's dreams. Its you guys crushing mine - which is to see a year where other lines of work get put out there other than just rescuers or scientists.
  21. Yeah! I would like the buses to be blue. Yellow sends them too much into the school bus zone. Though I do hope that one of the unrevealed great vehicles is a school bus.
  22. 2020 is impressing me so far. Its 2021 that needs to impress me. I hope summer 2020 is also a transit system subtheme.
