  1. OMG! Good pun there! I hear they might sell the rights to Thomas soon though because they claim it's too expensive and children aren't looking at the series like they used to. Personally, I chalk it up to the stupid changes they've made to the series.
  2. I don't collect Brickheadz. But one I do hope to see is a Sir Topham Hatt brickhead.
  3. We barely get road racing cars for City. The closest we've ever gotten to race cars since 2014 are those racing bikes and some buggies. Matter of fact, we're just getting back into the racing aspect in 2020.
  4. They'll probably base them off of the Manchester soccer league similar to how they based the space sets off of NASA. If the soccer theme does come back under City, that would make my day. Or just the sports theme in general.
  5. You know what? I think this is a discussion for another time and place. Like on a page regarding what Lego should do to improve themselves perhaps? Sorry mods if that would be considered backseat moderating.
  6. I personally don't see the big deal. Like I said, everything Lego does has its pros and cons.
  7. @MAB @jonwil For some reason, Lego is just able to do a good looking bank even when they look simple. Like the one in the Monster Truck Heist set. The only people who embrace whatever Lego does with City are people that I have met here. My thing is that TLG let's greed take control that they miss great opportunities for their City theme.
  8. Then there are those gas stations where it's just pumps and that small building that only the snack bar person has access to. No customers can go inside and you can only buy snacks from a push out drawer. In my opinion, that's what I was hoping City would go for. But I don't mind the one we're getting. I'm assuming people are saying what they are saying simply because of past gas stations having a bigger building. That's probably why.
  9. @Vindicare At the same time, City is the only theme that contradicts what we want to see. What we do want to see is most of the time cast aside for what we don't want to see. TLG claims that what we don't want to see is what sells. That's something we shall remain skeptical of until I actually see. Its not fair.
  10. @Klaus-Dieter What about the police sets?
  11. @Vindicare You're absolutely correct on your statements. Personally, I thought the moving donut was great action and some comic relief. I think City deliberately pairs popular subjects like police cars, fire trucks, buses, etc with less popular subjects like banks, burger bars or hotels simply because it works and sells better. Thus why we only see banks in police sets. I'm actually picking the bank from 2020 up.
  12. So......should we even have forums dedicated to ideas for Lego sets? What you just said would make that forum pointless. What I gather from your statement (and the statements from other people on the darn forum), is that what we want ain't happening.
  13. Honestly, I give up. 2006 to 2009 was the golden age of City. No more golden ages are coming. Our only hope of ever seeing another Harbor or farm is under the town theme. They did that with the cargo terminal back in 2017. Apparently, both the cargo terminal was going to initially be part of a cargo theme. But only the terminal appealed to the test subjects. Same with the bus station.
  14. I don't think we'll be seeing Farm again. I keep in touch with people at Lego. My insider says the farm theme didn't do well. TLG isn't a trillion dollar company. They can't afford to make things that won't sale. EDIT: Actually, let me rephrase that. They can't afford to make subthemes that children won't be interested in. Most of the subthemes that won't sell are sent to either the Town subtheme or the vehicles from that theme that the child is likely to attracted to are sent to Great Vehicles. So......I think as far as action based in the city goes....Town is as close as we're going to get if we want something for our towns unless your town is either in need of a lot of emergency services, is a railway or some type of exploration site.
  15. Lego knows best. Everything has its pros and cons.
  16. I was about to check. I figured it was the same thing.
  17. I don't think they can afford to do that right now. Town is a subtheme under the City theme for right now.
  18. @Vindicare @Toastie @pombe Its the outdoorsy stuff under City. I just don't think it fits given the name City and all. It is called City. Not Countryside.
  19. More character ideas Doctor Andrew Paingone - A doctor who works at the hospital. Nurse Victoria Philwell - A nurse who works at the hospital. She and Dr. Paingone are in a relationship.
  20. Well we are talking about losing the opportunity to get something awesome. "Why whine about the present that Santa missed?" Can't say that when the present he missed is the one you sincerely wanted.
  21. @Lyichir C'mon dude Don't be cold hearted. Can't you see that the dude has already been through enough? Can't you see that he's already emotionally traumatized by the event? I mean....I wouldn't be able to look at my collection if I had a bad experience Lego related. You guys really lack sympathy on this forum.
  22. So here is an update on the pizzeria MOC. I added a little dining area where people can sit and I also added a fence around the front.
  23. Welp! Whoever made the wager on the bookstore, I owe them 450 bricks!
