  1. That would be wonderful as well- really anything from the empire I'd be down for. (Monkey's paw I guess, watch us end up with another snowtrooper battle pack) Though I do wonder if they're making the gamble that the same design will be in the Thrawn movies and trying to hold off until then. Andor did the new stuff in such a great way too. For a show that felt as far removed from "let's merchandise this" as possible, they introduced a new faction (corporate security) and their gunship, the incredible Haulcraft, a "new" imperial trooper with the army trooper, and a new patrol speeder that's perfect battlepack size. And none of it felt out of place- the corpos scale the power of the empire (with the army troopers and their speeder providing the next level on that scale), and it makes complete sense for someone like Luthen to have the coolest ship in the known galaxy.
  2. That would be nice- it differentiates the figures and creates a new variant whilst also allowing people to have 4 more generic stormtroopers if they want (I actually don't think we've ever had a minifigure stormtrooper commander before). The pauldron/ammo pouch print on the torso could be used for a generic stormtrooper heavy from BF2017 or some sort of weapons specialist. I realistically don't think they'll put more than two generic stormtroopers in a pack- though I might be wrong, the snowtrooper pack had three snowtroopers- but I wouldn't say no to something that you can make three normal stormtroopers out of- a pack with 2 stormtroopers, a commander, and an incinerator or heavy trooper or shadow trooper or one of the other billion variants. Though I'm also on my Andor patrol speeder-2x stormtrooper- 2x army trooper thing. That build was MADE for a battle pack. And I love that Andor paid tribute to the thrawn trilogy era idea that stormtroopers were elite crack troops, and they're the main military we see in the OT due to the importance of the situations (hunting the death star plans, being on the death star, attacking the main rebel base, hunting the rebel leadership, defending the second death star) whereas the bulk of the empire's force was army and navy troopers.
  3. Look, I can love George Lucas's worldbuilding skills and his original movies but still think his prequel dialogue is crap. I can think Ezra Miller did a pretty solid job in Snyder Cut but still think he's a psycho who should be in jail. So just like those, I can love the DCAU but still think the Bruce/Babs ship isn't just bad but really creepy. 1. Yes, but it won't translate to much lego 2. Eh. Cautiously optimistic. I've only ever seen Gunn pull off one tone so I don't like him being put in charge fully, but he does seem to really care about superman. 3. The year-old set? Really not a fan. A comic-based batcave would have been much better. 4. It's cool I guess, but I rather would have had something figure-scaled than an art set. 5. Super overpriced, not a fan. Nice that we got a system BTAS set though. 6. Only one you've mentioned I might buy. But it's one brickheadz, hardly something worth getting excited over. 7. I loved it. It's also 7 years old. I have no clue why you continue to think that it's relevant to the current state of the theme. 8. Hate it. Would have vastly preferred either a fig-scaled Bat-Pod or a UCS one. This weird middle ground suits no one. 9. Awful. Horrible. Manage to not only take set slots from system DC sets, but also hurt the likelihood Bionicle comes back. Hate it with a passion. 10. I love mechas. I don't care much for the majority of the $10-16 lego mechs. The batman one is whatever. I didn't watch the video but I assume that woman is saying "best" to boost her video's performance (This is corroborated by the fact that the set itself doesn't appear in the thumbnail). It's a common youtube thing. It's also why so many videos have thumbnails that say "worst" on one side and "best" on the other, or "then" on one side and "now" on the other. I doubt she's actually a passionate believer in the shadow box being better than other lego batman sets. He didn't say Batman and Robin. Speak for yourself. What have you done, he's gonna think you don't know what it is and start posting video clips from the movie.
  4. Exactly It seems to be some sort of special set, and it doesn't release for some time. Does anyone remember when we got info on that weird holiday diorama? I don't think people are necessarily arguing for an all-stormie battlepack. I think a lot of people would be happy with a set that includes two stormies and two army troopers, or three stormies and an incinerator, or what have you.
  5. That's fun, though I have little faith in them pulling off the armored suit- it certainly won't look metallic. Hope it's like Go Brick Me where there's enough to build two full figures. I'd caution we're unlikely to get anything for Caped Crusader off the bat- I know it's batman, but lego rarely makes sets for adult-focused animated series, and while I doubt CC will be TV-MA, I still expect the most we'll get is a batmobile or 18+ set or two in 2026 at the earliest. Would love to be proven wrong, though. Yeah- realistically speaking, a "wave" of superman sets is 1-2 system sets, a mech, and/or a buildable figure.
  6. I can confirm this- Wolverine (CMF), Wolverine (X-Jet), Wolverine (X-jet, no leg printing), Venomized Wolverine, Wolverine (brown instead of blue), Wolverine (black instead of blue), Wolverine (yellow instead of bright light orange), Wolverine (plainclothes), Patch, Wolverine (molded animal). In total it's one new mold, one recolor, and 5 new prints.
  7. Exactly my thoughts, and I think it would make a cool anniversary figure. No problem. The Bestoon Legacy would be a good idea for that largest price point- though I'm gonna be honest, the Bestoon Legacy is not a ship I'd trade the Mantis for. Still a good concept, though!
  8. Right after I finished reading these, my wallet jumped out of my pocket and shot itself before I could stop it. Interesting point about a lot of these imperials having unique troopers. Obviously the death troopers have been made more of a general unit, but originally they were sort of seen as Krennic's guys. Then we've got Gideon and his droids and Hemlock with his commandos like you said, plus Thrawn and his roman legion. We have a lot of generic unit battle packs we need right now, but I'd be very happy to get a specific-unit pack like the CX squad, republic commando team, etc. Actually, it'd be kind of funny to release the CW S7 batch as a battle pack to keep messing with scalpers (though then they'd have to put Echo in something cheap too) Minor update on the wishlist wave I've been working on at the moment- I was super busy this past semester. Now that I'm back I have more time, but I also want to get my collection reorganized, finish another project, and get some contest submissions in before starting my wishlist wave. So that said, if anyone has any suggestions for alterations/replacements on this list, I'd gladly take them. Italics on sets I'd kind of like replaced, but feel free to suggest replacements for any of them: 25th Anniversary Wave 2: Microfighter: The Azure Angel ($12.99): Anakin Skywalker (clone wars 2003) for all microfighters I'd like something that FEELS like an anniversary set Microfighter: Poe Dameron's X-wing ($12.99): Poe Dameron and BB-8 Microfighter Duel Pack: AT-TE vs Hailfire droid ($22.99): Clone Captain and Geonosian Battle Droid Commander. Battle Pack: Clone Spec Ops ($19.99): AT-RT with ARF Trooper, Clone Sniper, Clone Commando, and a 25th anniversary 2003 ARC Trooper. Battle Pack: Mos Eisley Patrol ($19.99): 3x sandtrooper, brick built dewback, and 25th anniversary Battlefront 2015 shadow trooper (partially cloaked) I like the shadow trooper figure, but a different imperial pack for him could be nice. Standard sets: Rebel Combat Speeder ($9.99): Rebel Fleet Trooper, 25th anniversary minifigure Rebel Friend. Includes a minikit. Assault on Kamino ($37.99): Kamino gantries with explode features. Comes with Anakin Skywalker (Clone Wars S1), Ventress, Clone Trooper Echo, and 2 brick-built aqua droids, as well as a 25th anniversary Starkiller (TFU2 so... technically not a character lego has made before) Same as with the shadow trooper. Like starkiller, don't really care for this specific set. Exogol ($49.99): Sith Throne and Omnic Harness with the Eternal Emperor, Palpatine (omnic harness), Rey, Ben Solo, and 25th anniversary Darth Momin. Suggest anything here, even a Momin replacement. TIE Phantom ($69.99): TIE Pilot, 2x Shadow Trooper, Emperor Palpatine, and 25th anniversary figure Mara Jade. So long as Mara shows up, I'm happy. Ultimate Space Battle ($84.99): Anakin and Obi-Wan's ETA-2s (Slightly smaller than the most recent ones), Vulture Droid, Tri-Fighter. Comes with Obi-Wan, Anakin, 2x Buzz Droid, R2-D2, Obi-Wan's astromech, Grievous with cape, and a 25th anniversary figure (Captain Fordo) TIE Advanced vs Y-wing ($109.99): Y-wing and TIE Advanced (sand blue instead of LBG) with Dutch Vander, Dex Tiree, Rebel Astromech, Darth Vader, Rebel ground crew, and anniversary figure Kyle Katarn. Stinger Mantis ($149.99): Interior cockpit (seats all 3), mission select table, living area, kitchen, and workshop. Comes with Cal Kestis, Cere Junda, Nightsister Merrin, Greez Ditruis, Second Sister, 2x Purge Trooper, and 25th anniversary figure Dagan Gera. I LOVE fallen order, but I have already done a mantis, so it's up to you guys.
  9. I don't know what this means. Something about joker in this show? I'm sure he'll show up, but the articles don't mention him. I don't know what you'd be talking about there. The jokers in other properties being too mature? I wouldn't say Nicholson's joker was, and while Ledger's joker definitely had an edge to him, he's also never shown up in a non-18+ set.
  10. It's happened a lot recently that leaks ambiguous to the exact figures estimate there being more figures- sometimes as much as double- than there actually end up being in the set. I wonder if that's just the leakers getting it wrong, or if lego starts by designing more figs than they'll actually make and narrows the number as they close in on the set. We know they start with a larger number of options really early on- like in the bugle interview- but for sets where it claims it comes with more stormtroopers or rebel troopers or what have you, I wonder how they get the number wrong. Same. Though I wonder if lego would even have been given the end-of-season designs that early in the game.
  11. No mention of Barbara yet, so we might be safe. I guess. I kind of get what they were going for- what she'd look like in that 40's batman style- but I don't think they needed to ditch red and black altogether. It does seem to be a different take on the character though- joker isn't even mentioned in the article, is he? So I'm fully on board to not have to listen to the grating, baby-talk Harley a lot of stuff has had. Read the article- it's setting a pretty dark and mature tone. I don't think this is going to be the kid-friendly series that regains interest in Batman. We might get a few sets- his batmobile, an 18+ set or two, etc, but no way a whole wave, unless this initial article is making the series significantly more mature than it'll actually be. Something I've thought about for some time is how cool would it be if a show did this, ran through the long halloween, and then Harvey doesn't become two face? Would absolutely shatter people's expectations.
  12. There's a pretty big flaw in this argument- it's not whether or not kids have the internet browsing ability to navigate the bricklink website- it's A: whether or not they know about it (This applies to parents to, i've had internet-savvy, lego-purchasing parents I've interacted with who had trouble understanding bricklink even after I explained it to them), and more importantly B: whether or not their parents are comfortable with them using it. I know parents who aren't comfortable with their kids using bricklink, and I know parents who don't want their kids buying secondhand or loose figures instead of the on-shelf sets, whether it's due to lack of trust in the site/sellers, not wanting their kids to spend the money solely on figures (this is a real thing I've run into), or other reasons. But there's also the simple fact that bricklink is secondhand. A lot of people don't like buying secondhand, or at the very least prefer buying things firsthand. If we lived in a world where most people were using bricklink to buy sets, we wouldn't be seeing a new X-wing, TIE, etc every few years, because everyone would just buy the older ones. I want to know how you managed to end up with spare pauldrons. I think I have about seven official ones in over a decade of collecting. (1 sandtrooper (orange), 1 sandtrooper (black), 2 death trooper (black), 1 ARC trooper (red), 1 snowtrooper captain (red-orange), 1 stormtrooper seargent (white)). And their bricklink prices can be more than the average figure. I was super excited when I heard the Rex pauldron was going to be on PAB, only for it to be around the amount the figure'll likely go for post-microfighter.
  13. This is an astonishingly mature-sounding show, which is both good and bad news. It seems like it'll be good- it almost feels like they're setting it up as a more colorful Dark Knight type story- but I don't know if this is gonna get sets. What's the rating on it?
  14. Realistically speaking, all this means is that it doesn't have any connection points to the other modulars, right? Or is this not going to be built on baseplates? The latter would be somewhat annoying- understandable, given it'll probably have a much more rectangular shape, and lego mainly just does square baseplates- but still annoying for those who have the modulars and want to connect the mansion too them. (Though that never made sense to me- the first three buildings work in the way the architecture skyline sets work- they aren't actually right next to eachother in-universe, but they look nice on display anyway. The X-mansion isn't even in the city...)
  15. No, that is not at all "the coolest part", you've destroyed the greatest part of the set for a simple antenna, what have you done, is nothing sacred in the world? Jokes/my love for the lamppost side build nonwithstanding, this is a wonderful alt build. Simultaneously a good joke about the BARCS being oversized, what with using them as pontoons and all, and a great scout speeder type build in itself. It feels like a lighter, faster TX-130.
  16. It is a fun theory, but I don't think it's accurate beyond the 2022 snowtrooper pack being meant to fill the UCS AT-AT, and maybe the shocktrooper being chosen for the 2024 pack because he was already being produced for the gunship. I think in general, we're just getting both because clones have been popular recently in lego. Note that the legions and source material don't match between the ROTS 212th AT-TE and the Battlefront 2017 501st pack. That said, I think your theory will prove accurate for 2025, less because they're making packs to "fill" the larger sets for all these, and moreso because we're overdue for our next stormtrooper battle pack. First, I don't think you can draw much of a tend about battle packs having to do with recent media recently. Most of them have been clone based, and not on Bad Batch. Phase 1 clones were, in 2021, in a 15:2:1 battle pack (2 p1s, 1 variant (commander), $15). Now, that was hard to get, but it was still a thing. I'd argue the stormies are more deserving for two reasons: Looking at things from a stormtrooper perspective, there's not many good ways to mass them. Currently, like you say, it's the mech at 16:1, the hallway at 55:2 (22.5:1), and the destroyer at 160:1. A battle pack is likely 20:2 / 10:1 plus some officers or navy troopers or something, who are also massable. And that's assuming it doesn't give us three stormtroopers like the 2019 pack. It also provides more usable parts than the massive elements in the mech, but that's personal reasons. Also just the sheer avalanche of clones, especially battle packs, in the last half-decade. I know some people prefer P1s, but they're still clones, and we've had SO MANY. (and especially when you consider that we just got P2 shinies this year, I don't know that they'd want to put out another battle pack where the only difference is the helmet) The last standard one, yeah. Some people count the Marauder for some reason but two stormtroopers and a variant in a $40 set is not what I'd call a battle pack.
  17. I might be wrong but I feel like early on the only things kept consistent in the leaks were A: Cal was involved and B: it was a death star set (which wasn't even true). The figures, actual setup, and even price felt like they were bouncing around- it was $80, then $200, etc.
  18. No rush, but if you've got the answer to this one, I'd be able to get my first submission in!
  19. I'm a little more confident on this one being more accurate- the other sets where we received less figures than what leaked were ones where the figure list was clearly in question (X-Tie and Jedi Bob's starfighter having unknown figures, the Dark Falcon having some unknown figures and a much less confident list- "blue armored gungan"- really?, the whole thing with the "death star" set where literally the only thing consistent was that Cal was involved.), whereas Perida's figures were leaked pretty concretely, with no unknowns or "maybes".
  20. Same- after seeing the ISD and hearing about the X-wing/TIE cooled me on some of the star wars sets, I think bumblebee is now by far my most anticipated set of the summer! Apparently he's a June 1st release now, not July, which is wonderful. We should see the reveal any day now!
  21. Totally agree on almost all of this. ESPECIALLY that civilian wise, we need Norman, Harry, Flash, and Mary Jane. Liz would be nice as well- though we did get a 616 Gwen in the bugle, so I'd be OK if they left her behind. In terms of female spiders, I'd put a vote in for Silk. Loved the idea of the character (aside from the weird pheromone stuff. It's hard enough to actually get Peter and MJ together in the comics, I don't need "peter and other marvel character have a biological urge to constantly kiss" as a tool in the writers' toolkit. Unless it's morbius) Let me find my guess from a week or two ago, I tried to mix realism with desirability: Here's what I could see in terms of Oscorp's design and figures: Floor 1: Lobby with guard post and some exhibits. Floor 2: boardroom and the non-supervillainous laboratory with a spider in a glass box. Floor 3: Secret laboratory with cloning vats and Goblin transformation chamber. Floor 4: Osborn Penthouse. Figures: (Civilians with re-used parts): Peter Parker, Harry Osborn, Mary Jane Watson, Flash Thompson, Norman Osborn (new face print with a goblin-like second expression), Curt Conners, Miles Warren, Security officer, Oscorp Scientist. (Heroes re-used from sets we've gotten): Morbius, Wolveriene, Venom. (Re-used from 2025 sets): Spider-Man, Scarlet Spider, Spider-Man 2099, Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Kraven. New: Kaine, Electro, Rhino bigfig, Morlun, Silk. A real possibility, but not something we'd see in 2025.
  22. I think he's actually referring to the fact that every surviving beatle was in the Batgirl movie. Lego is able and willing to represent those by making the hips red. Don't try them. I'm expecting the only new print to be the torso, and that way I only get to be mildly disappointed when we don't get any superman sets at all.
  23. I haven't been following the show much (beyond the fact that it hinted at another 90s revival I would 100% be watching day 1), but I totally thought the season ended last week. Regardless, I think the show is including a lot more characters/suits than lego's going to make sets for. I'd be surprised if 2025 brings more than 1-2 more sets for the X-men, unfortunately. My money is 100% on a january wave of spider-man sets with figs meant to tie into an upcoming Oscorp D2C.
  24. While it may be a little different, it's UCS Y-wing sized, and we aren't getting a new one of those anytime soon- it's only been 7 years. I think the shortest gap between a UCS model and it's remake was 10 years with the Falcon, and there's no way their second-ever V3 is the Y-wing. (No, I don't count R2- brickset actually only counts the first one, and while I'd personally add the 2021 model I don't think anyone would consider the 2024 model a UCS. And I don't count the death star refreshes either)
  25. Nah you're good- if that even is the case, yours was pretty clearly just a joke and not "guys what if +a list of reasons" And even if it WAS, I doubt we'd have to sit through an internet campaign about lego's anti- mon calamari bias and how they don't respect mon calamari fans (Like and subscribe if you're a true squidhead)
