  1. I dunno, I think putting the most popular ones first makes sense too- so Marvel, Harry Potter, etc first.
  2. And the head for Stilgar! Agreed. I hope so, but agree that she likely won't. I get why, since his eyes do look distinctive and noticably an unnatural blue in the show, and it also fits with Ezra and/or Perida being strong in the force. That said, I think the figure needs more distinctive/obvious pupils. I THINK there might be white pupils, but the light blue blends into it too well- I would have liked a darker blue, or just more eye detail. I'd be ok with them just printing a small line where his nose is or something as a sort of half-measure. Including some form of detail but not an obvious nose.
  3. Thank you legoturtle, very cool. At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized ENTIRELY WITHIN YOUR LEGO COLLECTION? @PGBQW does this beat "begging like a turtle"? "Yeah.... I'm man"
  4. I dunno- my first thought when I saw the thrawn was that they'd subbed in the legs, but those aren't the most common part, so if they just grabbed a torso and head (and hair probably), it'd be weird if they slapped on that leg element. Definitely not confirmation, but I think the odds are fairly good. Lacquering it might be difficult, so I'd also be fine with a white-gold dual mold. My main thing is that the face needs to be molded, not printed. I also wonder if they'll try and lego-ize his "face". I don't think they will, but it's a possibility. More, better images have leaked of the two- I like both thrawn's faces. Ezra looks good too, especially with the right hair.
  5. For $55, a drop ship AND some sort of playset would mean both builds are tiny, especially with this number of new figs. It's called Battle on perida or something to that effect, and given the figures included, I'm pretty confident it'll be the alter or some other sort of perida build. I assume a drop ship would come with night troopers.
  6. Lego's been inconsistently doing dual-molded legs for officers for a long time, so I wouldn't put it above them to have just given a gray officer plain gray legs. Enoch is the one I've been most concerned about, his helmet is going to be really tricky to do right. I think bricklink prices actually shouldn't be that bad. It's one $55 set, and thrawn isn't the only desirable figure included. Don't get me wrong, I could easily see it being $20, but compared to current thrawn prices, it's a drop in the bucket.
  7. I mean but that's like if I went "why does batman retire after killing Harvey Dent in TDK when he killed a ton of people in the burton films". It's a different continuity. Bloodsport in the DCEU is meant to be much more sympathetic, being the protagonist after all, so that's why I don't like it. There's a difference between rooting for a former assassin trying to protect his daughter and rooting for a guy who doesn't seem to have an issue with the fact that he just murdered a TON of people who were on his side. I don't think I ever read those particular comics, but I believe you're mostly right. The issue isn't that he's actually a, you know, it's moreso that it's weirdly close to it, and Hal himself seems to recognize that but is still ok dating her. That said, I can't believe we're all ignoring the fact that his canonical true enemy is a COLOR. And unlike the road sign (itself yellow) or the FBI, this was a pretty consistent thing with his character for awhile. Talking about how Batman flies and glides in many continuities with his capes, jetpacks, and wingsuits?
  8. Battlefront 2 41st, but granted, I thought they WERE the 442nd, just renamed to be the same legion as the camo troops. Ha! I was just trying to get the largest spread of clones. I'd love a larger amount of 327th troopers too, but then we'd lose a legion. Ideally there'd be sort of a playground trade thing going on where the bricklink prices aren't that bad because people trying to buy up 327th are selling the other legions and vice versa, but clone prices on bricklink are never logical, so in this hypothetical scenario I'd just find a friend trying to army-build the 91st, 442nd, or galactic marines. I changed my mind on doing the CMFs, I had some trouble figuring out how to do new versions of obi-wan, anakin, dooku, grievous, etc from the films only and otherwise the CMF just ends up being noncombatant aliens and clone commanders. Which I'd love, but clearly isn't how they'd do a CMF, so I'm going to skip them. 9. Hence why I was guessing it was a mask and not his actual face. I'm not saying it's definitely him, just that it's a possibility. I'm pretty sure the characters shown on the ingot are just the four kids, the droid or masked character, and then the side view of what is assumably Jude Law's character leading the kids like Gandalf and the hobbits. I heard that, but I also heard her eyes look weirdly dark or something, which would fit. We don't know what the creature is, and we don't know what's in the anniversary set, but aside from those, I don't think there are any numbers that we know are coming as sets but don't know what they're alleged to be. I'm sure there are gaps in the numbering or holdovers from 2023, but those usually just end up being sets cancelled early on.
  10. SS86 keeps trying to lure me from just being a guy who gets the little transformers figs and larger ones if they show up at discount retailers to a full-blown transformers collector, which I have neither the money or space for considering how many lego sets I already get. But the figures look so good! I agree that SS86 Bee would be ok as the lego version. I don't think it'll be a non-G1 bee, as most leakers seem to agree it is G1 and while we've definitely had leakers be wrong before, I also don't know how a live-action transforming bumblebee would work as an official lego set. I'm sure someone out there's done a MOC somewhere, but with lego's standards for stability and simplicity I just don't see it happening.
  11. "A peculiar game. The only way to win is not to play." Remember the coin with sewer access is so Batman can meet up with Splinter for that secret Wayne family and rat family pact. I don't know how likely it is that we'll get Guy, as much as I'd like him. I'm not 100% sure Superman gets three sets, for one thing. Putting aside whether or not lego has enough faith in the film to finally branch out of batman sets, it'd be another leap for there to be that much for them to make sets out of. The Batman sets were Bat-vehicles and the Batcave- I'm not sure how much kids would want a system daily planet. If we assume the Engineer has some large vehicle and the Javelin shows up, we'll say three. But then we run into the issue of figure slots- The Batman had 7 unique figures, but a good chunk of them re-use a number of parts. (And again, it's Batman, so I think lego had more faith than they will in Superman) I'd guess we get Superman, Lex, and The Engineer for sure, and probably Lois and Clark as well since they can re-use a lot of pieces from random civilian figs. This leaves us with two slots, which if filled with the Leagures instead of any other characters or villains we don't know about, lego would probably want Mr. Terrific and Hawkgirl like @NXS7 says. TLDR: While I'd love to finally get another Lantern, especially Guy, I don't think it's very likely even if Superman gets the same amount of new figs as The Batman, which I also don't think is super likely. My honest guess is we get a Superman buildable figure and 1-2 system Superman sets. I do have faith that we'll get at least those 1-2 system Superman sets, but I can see the timeline where it's just superman and lex figs thrown into a Batman set as well. 1.) Which set / sets you will buy? + (amount) None, because I don't have enough money to buy every set that vaguely interests me, and while the Batmobile is cool, it's not worth anywhere near $60. Ironically, if I do get one it'll probably be the mech, because it's cheap and I can always use more mixel joints. 2.) Your favourite sets TOP-3 (2024)? So far, going off just what I know: 1): G1 Bumblebee 2): Barad-Dur 3): Atreides Royal Ornithopter 3.) Set you "hate" the most? Seeing as this isn't limited to 2024, I'm gonna go with the UCS republic gunship (2021). Did a number of bad things: Cost us a UCS Nebbie, (speculation) delayed the next system gunship and made it so it was an obscure color scheme as opposed to the iconic one, and due to a bad line in an interview and a packaging mistake, started this stupid "lego hates the prequels and clones" complaint that somehow continues despite the absolute torrent of clone trooper sets hitting shelves.
  12. Totally agree. HasTak themselves struggle with G1 Bee, with the most recent G1 volkswagen Bee partsforming the roof into a shield. I wonder if they'll even get the rights to the Volkswagen again, or if they'll do something like the new SS86 Bee, which has a more squared top, providing both legal distinction from the beetle and a chest in bot mode close to the G1 cartoon. I tried a G1 bumblebee last year, and it's one of the few mocs that I've given up on, so I'm interested to see how lego pulls it off.
  13. Plus, if you don't have a justice league that's not only established but had a couple big films, you probably won't have many leaguers killed off yet, so you lose that aspect of the story. Assumably our behavior is just allowed because there's not much else going on in the theme. We might have to regain our sanity if Superman does well. Same. Seeing it in black really makes me think that the only reason it's dark blue officially is to try and differentiate it a bit from last year's batmobile.
  14. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I was given mistaken or false info, as we should have seen it by now. Probably is July 1st.
  15. I almost wonder if it's Jude Law's character in a mask. The Miraluka girl does need a new hairpiece, but I'm just excited we'll get a lego miraluka now. That said, the Ortolan has to have a new mold, and probably not one they'd be able to re-use for Max Rebo, so I don't know how many more new molds the set'll have.
  16. I think it'd be a fun way to add something new/unique to the mid-sized and larger system sets for something where the generic guys are in a battle pack. Is it the clone commander? (If so, I'm gonna be honest, I get that gripe. It's so weird to me that they made the highest rank appear in multiple sets and didn't do any others. Hence why in my wave the rank scales with the cost of the set) Love the clone wars wave, great job. Good spread of seasons and battles. Now, would Anakin have navy and maroon robes, or the brown/black lego used? ROTS Wave: Anakin's Jedi Interceptor Microfighter ($9.99): Anakin Skywalker Droid Tri-Fighter microfighter ($9.99): B1 droid pilot Boga vs Wheel Bike microfighters ($19.99): General Grievous, Obi-Wan Kenobi Clone Legionaires battle pack ($19.99): 1x 327th trooper (cloth pauldron), 1x Galactic Marine (snowtrooper helmet), 1x 41st siege battalion trooper (White with green markings), 1x 91st recon trooper. Build is a BARC for the recon trooper and a small mortar for the siege trooper. Separatist Alliance battle pack ($19.99): 4x b2 super battle droid, 2x b1 battle droid, 1x buildible Crab Droid, 1x dwarf spider droid. Clone Scout Walker ($9.99): Accurately sized AT-RT with an AT-RT pilot and a B1 battle droid. Comes with 6x b1 battle droid, Yoda, Tarfful, 2x Wookiee warrior, 1x 41st scout trooper, and Commander Gree. Ultimate Space Battle ($119.99): Obi-Wan and Anakin's Jedi Starfighters, a V-wing Starfighter, 2x Vulture Droids (smaller than 2014 version), and 1x Droid Tri-Fighter. Comes with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Obi-Wan's astromech, Anakin Skywalker, R2-D2, 1x Clone Pilot, 1x republic astromech, General Grievous (Cape), 2x buzz droid, and 2x security battle droid. Diorama: Darth Vader is Born ($89.99): Vader's transformation chamber with Darth Vader, Anakin Skywalker (injured), Emperor Palpatine, and 2x medical droid. Diorama: Duel on Coruscant ($89.99): Palpatine's office with shattered window. Comes with Mace Windu, Darth Sideous, Anakin Skywalker, and Kit Fisto. Extra accessories or figs not in the frame shown can be placed in a storage compartment in the build. Midi-Scale: Venator Star Destroyer ($79.99) UCS: UCS Anakin Skywalker's ETA-2 starfighter ($239.99): ETA-2 with Anakin Skywalker (new dual-molded hair/comm element), R2-D2 (rotating head, storable third leg).
  17. I don't keep as up-to-date on this stuff as I used to, but have they even announced an X-men or seventh Avengers film?
  18. I would say once the faces were made in the same style, TCW absolutely counts. But either way, the last anakin was 4 years ago, which is weird. I'm confident we'll see him next year, probably the 2025 Jedi Starfighter. This is the answer for most of the guys you mentioned- if they aren't a main character, they likely aren't going to be availible all that often. To add to that, most non-main character jedi are from the prequels, and the rabid clone fervor has made it so 99% of the prequel era sets we get consist mainly of, if not exclusively clone troopers for minifigures. Personally I'd like Plo Koon and Kit Fisto to re-emerge sometime soon. Both haven't been made in over a decade, and feature somewhat inaccurate rubber headsculpts (Plo's works for Clone Wars in terms of color but feels too thin, Kit's is in my opinion not only too thin and flat but totally the wrong color- it should be lime!)
  19. Potentially, but I also like the idea that they don't finish making the movie, but still produce tie-in sets. I just need a symbiote spider man figure, period. Such an iconic suit that we've somehow only had as a comic-con exclusive for the entire decade+ run of the theme. I swear they've even done their best to make sure you can't use parts like Spider-Man Noir's head for Symbiote Spidey. "Micheal Mando's Scorpian will play some role in SM2, it's just we don't know how big/to what extent that role is" Poking fun, but it is true. Marvel does post credits scenes with no actual intention to use the setup in the next film or foreseeable future all the time. Even if they HAVE a plan in mind, things change often. Unless there was a reliable leak I missed, there's no indication the symbiote will be in SM4. Or that Daredevil and Kingpin will show up for that matter, unfortunately. You missed a few alternate scenarios- -all spider-man content is dropped in favor of the far superior Agent Spider -Spider-Man 4 does not release (because everyone on earth dies, so you sort of covered this)
  20. "Diggle is a GL now" is one of the dumbest things the CW did hero-wise. And that's saying something. Up there with introducing Red Death in a show that barely mentions batman. And given they had the budget for something like Legends of Tomorrow, why not give us a GL show? (Granted, I wasn't a fan of the CW past when I was young enough to enjoy early Flash, so I'll take it as a good thing that we haven't been flooded with more low-quality GL content past the movie itself) Yup. On the wider topic of Batman vs Superman, I think we all agree the movie was pretty rough. That said, if the Snyder films had been Elseworlds rather than a main continuity, I think they would have done much better. I don't think BvS would be looked on fondly, but I think MoS and Snyder Cut would be movies people would really enjoy. I also think that while executed badly, the idea of an old, cynical batman who's long since broken his one rule fighting a fairly new-to-superheroics superman because he can't believe that another hero exists is a pretty solid story idea- again as an elseworlds story.
  21. Thanks. The Battlefront 2 skins were an unappreciated set of designs that I really wish lego utilized. Course, we did get the 501st specialist pack last year, so maybe we'll see more sometime soon. (At the same time though, I hope we'd get generic commandos, TCW Arcs, etc before the BF2 skins.) The Jump Troopers would also be very cool. I think the newer design was in rebels or something, but the original 2017 design went just as hard. A Jetpack Cargo set with some rebel and imperial jump troopers, the cargo, and some Mos Eisley rooftops would be fun. I'm not reading this, doing my own, and we'll see how similar they are. Also, how dare you? I'm clearly the only one allowed to post wishlist waves in this thread. AT-TE Microfighter ($9.99): Clone Sergeant Jango Fett's Slave One Microfighter ($9.99): Jango Fett Hailfire Droid vs Clone Gunship Microfighters ($19.99): Geonosis B1 battle droid, Clone Pilot. Clone Troopers battle pack ($19.99): 4x P1 shiny. Build is a 2002-era clone speeder bike as well as a bit of geonosis terrain with a mounted stud shooter. Geonosians battle pack ($19.99): 2x winged geonosian, 1x geonosian (no wings), 2x geonosis b1 battle droid. Build is a Orray beast. Jedi Duel ($9.99): a bit of geonosis terrain with a collapsing pillar function. Comes with Count Dooku and Yoda. Corporate Alliance Tank Droid ($29.99): Snail tank with Padme Amidala (geonosis outfit, no tear), Clone Lieutenant, and 2x b2 battle droid. Bounty Hunter Chase ($37.99): Zam Wessel's speeder. Comes with Zam Wessel, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker, as well as a buildible version of one of those probes Obi-Wan grabs on to. The Battle of Geonosis ($64.99): Hailfire droid (Significantly larger than 2015 model), command post (by far our largest and closest to in-scale, around 200 pieces), and a fair chunk of rocky, cliff-like geonosis terrain with an explode feature and republic barricades. Comes with Stass Allie, a Clone Captain, clone trooper (sand covered), Geonosis B1 commander, winged geonosian, geonosis b1, and a droidika. Arena Beast Battle ($109.99): Three tall geonosian pillars with small bits of terrain around them, as well as a buildable Reek, Nexu, and Acklay. Comes with Obi-Wan, Padme, Anakin, Poggle, and Sun Fac. Jedi Starfighter vs Slave One ($159.99): Slave One (slightly smaller than 2019 model but much larger than 2021 model) and Jedi Starfighter (smaller than 2023 model) with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Obi-Wan's astromech, Jango Fett, Boba Fett, Lama Su, a Clone Commander, and 2x clone trooper (red fatigues) Diorama: The Battle of Geonosis ($69.99): geonosis terrain and spires, microscale, with AT-TEs, SPHATs (with lightsaber hilts as if they were firing), hailfires, spiders, and Hardcells, including one being exploded by SPHATS. Quote is Yoda's "Begun, the Clone Wars have". Diorama: Versus Dooku ($79.99): Geonosis hanger with Count Dooku, Obi-Wan, and Anakin. Quote is "Master Kenobi, you disappoint me". Midi-Scale: AT-TE ($59.99): Hyper-detailed AT-TE, still on a stand like the ships. UCS (Would have done an MBS Pentaki, but somehow I think ARC2149Nova's got that covered): UCS AT-TE ($699.99): Massive AT-TE with full interior a la the UCS AT-AT. Comes with 1x clone commander (arm printing) and Coleman Trebor.
  22. Agree with @Big_Daddy. But seriously, while not something I personally would have wanted, it would be a solution to the missing poncho if lego was unwilling to give him cloth. Even then, the only reason I wouldn't want it because to me, Cal's "canon" look is without the Bracca poncho for the important events/cutscenes. I'd always take my ponchos off when inside or about to duel someone. (I'd also change my poncho to fit the color scheme of the planet- camo for kashyyyk, the white one with turquoise patches for Bogano, etc). But if you played through keeping his bracca scrapper poncho on, then it makes perfect sense for that to be how you'd want lego to do it. Though we can all agree the best option would have been the Sumi poncho. Or subbing Cal out for Greeze with a 4079b.
  23. Even then, the guardians weren't prominent enough for their Gunn tone to cause widespread backlash. Superman IS. You can't have his film be full of raunchy jokes or the sort of casual Nihilism TSS had (I still can't get over the scene where Peacemaker and Bloodsport kill a village of soldiers only to find out they were the good guys, and it's played for laughs. Peacemaker might be insane enough to justify it, but Bloodsport shouldn't have walked it off like that, nor do they treat it as more than an oops.) Same opinion on superman. COULD be good, but yeah, we've really got no major indications either way. Yeah, I don't think it's controversial or stating an opinion on the efficacy of masks to say that having to wear one for three hours may have turned some people off from going to theatres. Or just being that close to that many other people. I know I didn't find the masks comfortable, and while I wasn't exactly the demo at risk, I 100% wouldn't have been eager to enter a theatre in those years if I was at more risk. Regardless of safety measures, that's a lot of people very close together. I may not have been clear about that- I agree, booting Cavill WAS the right choice, because they needed to completely wipe and restart the universe, but I don't think it's a good start to make noise about a clean slate and then keep everyone from the project you were personally involved in. Peacemaker and Waller both have the same casts, and Peacemaker has a direct season 2 follow up, so it's not making the clean break he gave as the reason for booting Cavill. That said, I don't really like how they've handled ANY of this transition. Blue Beetle is hypothetically the first DCU movie, I think, but I don't think many people saw that. You want to start a new universe? Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman needs to be your starting punch. Follow with Flash, GLs, Justice League. Not this weird hodgepodge plan they've got where Wonder Woman isn't headlining anything and a big focus of phase one is the pre-existing TSS era characters as well as the obscure Authority group. Branching out to lesser known teams CAN work, but you've got to hit the ground running with characters the general audience has at least heard of, and you don't want to hamper your appeal by making a big part of your first chunk of content a maturity rating that removes kids from your audience. I want to make this clear- I was not, but given how full Aslume we've gotten, I think it would have been in-character to pretend to be.
  24. Absolutely, massively hyped for the Joker 2 wave of sets. I love the gimmick where the sets based on his fever dreams are empty boxes with instructions to hallucinate the set. Right, you're a more recent active member to this part of the forum. This thread became the Aslume... I want to say around the time the 2023 summer wave turned out to be three separate bat-vehicle sets with batman and joker only. Our Turtle friend showed up this year to hasten the decay. Almost nothing said here anymore is real. I believe @psqidexslizer was just having some fun with turtle's anti-superman opinions. I'm leeching onto this even though I'm unsure whether or not you meant what I've been thinking, but HOLY COW, I am so glad to see someone agree that we're putting too much faith in this guy. He's made some good movies. He's made some bad movies. Most of his superhero movies have been solid. This might not translate to him being able to restart a universe, especially when Superman needs a very different tone than guardians or TSS. He's also made a couple moves that I wasn't a fan of already, namely his decision to keep most of his guys from peacemaker and TSS but boot Cavill because they needed a "clean slate" or whatever. I'm fine with the clean slate, but you can't have your cake and eat it too! Now, he does seem to really care about superman. I have hope that the movie will be good. But a lot of people are acting like DC's about to enter a golden age and I just want to see at least ONE movie in this universe before I jump on the hype train.
  25. This rubs me the wrong way. Saying you're more qualified than other people to speak on it, talking about being a youtuber, and saying you wish Lego would reach out to the youtubers... if you really feel this strongly, why didn't you reach out to lego yourself? Regardless, I don't think "being a youtuber" makes you all that much more qualified than other people on this forum. And I don't think LAN "controls the narrative" by any means. If they did, there certainly wouldn't be so many youtubers with mock-outrage at lego every time anything clone trooper related isn't perfect, for one thing. You'd think they'd get that tamped down. For another, Jang is very popular and isn't a LAN member. And many people who do get sent free lego for these, like AshnFlash, consistently talk about issues they have with sets or problems they see in themes. I'm sure there are shills out there, but I don't really think this "I'm more qualified then you, and the correct/informed opinion is LAN bad" mentality makes much sense. Thanks! There's usually some warning before a set retires, but even if it catches me by surprise, like you say, always aftermarket, and I doubt Rivendell would skyrocket too much immediately after retirement.
