As clonecommando said, I think he just baited you into accidentally referencing an aslume meme- the "lore/lore reason" one. Though I'm gonna be honest, I had no idea the restaurant was referenced in gotham knights. Luigi's empire grows. Soon DC's trinity will be Luigi, Falcone (in basement) and Luigi's delivery driver. I completely agree with you- at this point I'm now pretty confident turtle's a seriously dedicated joker.

Like you said, that was nearly a month ago. We didn't know about Nien at the time. The going theory seems to be that the figures are Malak, Fives, Saw, Cal, Young Leia, and Nien Nunb, with Maul and R2-KT as limited edition figures/sets and therefore not part of the marketed count. I don't think it's Omega instead of young leia. For one thing, it'd be weird to do a Bad Batch set with no figs besides Omega. Second, a lot of sources have been saying young leia for awhile now, and it's ALWAYS been that she's an anniversary figure. Third, and most importantly- -

As much as I'd love more Andor content (and Bix is an excellent character from it), I don't think it's this. I doubt we'll get much more from Andor, and Bix isn't exactly the top of most people's lists. I mainly see the Fondor Haulcraft and a battle pack using the patrol speeder, and Bix doesn't really fit in either set. Crosshair is actually an excellent guess, since he deals with the brainwashing aspect a lot more than most clones. -

Thank the maker! Now we just have to figure out what the hell the 1984 qoute is. No way it's caravan of courage, so my guess now is a brainwashed character- and probably not a clone given how many that would apply to. Tseebo? (of course not, but a man can dream) -

This is a very very important distinction. I guarantee you lego would not have put echo in the CMF if they knew it would be TV-MA. I get that. On the bright side, you know firestar's going to have "Multiversal Claw Man" and "Multiversal Wall-Breaker" figures right after the release of that film. -

Knockoff companies can get knockoffs out faster- sometimes before the official set. There's also bad press if they cancel a set too late in the game, or make changes people don't like. But the main reason is actually the opposite of your last sentence. Usually when sets leak, it's prelims. Potato quality images. That sort of thing. It's sets leaking in a way lego doesn't want them presented to the public. It's as simple as they want their product to be shown off by them, in the best light, not on instagram from some random guy through a twelve pixel image. That's not a good example. There are still tons of well-known helmets they can do. Most clones and imperials, for one. Kylo ren, Grievous's head, etc would also work very well. Boushh was chosen as an ROTJ anniversary tie-in. -

Renown has corrected/clarified hints before, and he hasn't been on in the hours since his comment. While it's definitely possible that they got him, there's still hope. If they did get him, it is sad though. By far my favorite leaker- had fun with it with the quotes without trying to spread a single piece of info out over a full livestream or make himself a brand. -

Exactly. I didn't get either of the old emperor's throne rooms in the past decade, but the diorama is one of my favorite sets. They're just the right level of complexity and look while still having the lego feel. Not sure about this one. I have two guesses given the quote: 1. There is a character that originated around 1984 coming, or some sort of surveillance character/build. Not sure what it'd be. 2. Given the specific qoute, it's possible Renown unfortunately was found and has to stop leaking. Truly sorry if it is the latter. -

You can't tell me that, because now I'm going to be sad when it doesn't happen. Some other guesses for the spanner into the works, because given the conflicting info on some of these sets and lack of info on others, I'm sure there'll be something: The Evil Falcon comes with Darth Jar Jar Jedi Bob's starfighter is a remake of the 2014 jedi scout fighter. The death star set has a hot tub included implying, if not including, beach troopers. The possible creature set Young Leia comes in is the long awaited buildable gonk droid At least one august set includes a minikit The desert skiff- the most normal sounding set- actually has something crazy included in the build. Tarkin has dual-molded legs for his fuzzy slippers to be included in the set. Every minifigure in every august set is Nien Nunb Understandable. I agree with almost everything here (Though I'd swap hello there for either the Mustafar Duel or Cloud City Breakfest), especially that the figures are: Cal Kestis (with hydrogen bomb), Nien Nunb (with hydrogen bomb), Saw Guerrera (with hydrogen bomb), Fives (with hydrogen bomb), Malak (with hydrogen bomb), and coughing baby, with limited edition R2-KT (With hydrogen bomb). It is really spectacularly odd that they chose Young Leia. The going assumption is to slot in a female character, but it's not like there weren't other, better choices. Even if we're sticking with each fig representing a different aspect of the franchise, Mara or others still fit. (Cal as canon games, Malak as kotor/legends games, Saw as spinoff films, Nien as skywalker saga, R2-KT as fan events, Fives as animation.). Mara could have fit (Legends/old EU comics/books/etc). -

I would not be a fan of that. I almost hope that if the mid-scale ships are the "replacement" for the dioramas, they do poorly and we keep the dioramas. The GWPs are an odd trend. While I'm not opposed to them in concept- it is just more free stuff than we used to have the option to get, and even though the thresholds used to be like $75 for the GWP, the GWP also used to be a single minfigure rather than a $25 set- I do wish that the middle non-lego GWP was a minifigure or something instead of what it currently is. And I REALLY hope we start getting more smaller sets. The marvel theme's had a few solid $10 sets now, I wish star wars would follow suit. That might be the push I need over the fence to get the set. It'll depend on how good the pit build is. Oh lord what did you do to your profile picture. This turn of events confuses me. No one should be able to confuse any of Jabba's guys for Nien Numb. Aside from the fact that he's got a completely different outfit, he's got the anniversary stand. I doubt he's in the box art duking it out on the skiff, and if you just saw the parts, who looks at them and goes "yup, that's a weequay"? I didn't realize the skeleton crew ship was scheduled for June but yeah it's not coming anytime soon. -

What are you talking about? Clone Wars and Bad batch both had/have good viewership numbers, tons of people see Echo every few Wednesdays. Not sure why we're talking about star wars on the marvel thread, though. The issue with that is deadpool's costume is so comic-accurate that it's hard for lego to make clear it's a comic-based figure, and so well known for being vulgar lego probably doesn't want to risk it in any capacity. With Daredevil, the show isn't as widely known in the general population as the deadpool films, the suit is very obviously not the netflix suit, etc. If a parent even realizes the character is in a TV-MA show, they can pretty clearly see it's not the same guy. With deadpool, it's pretty much the same suit, and a LOT of parents know about the deadpool films if for no other reason that their kids beg them to see them. (I think influence on kids is also a big part of it. In the show daredevil, he's a morally upstanding hero who has long conversations with his priest over his struggles with whether or not it's right to kill a villain. Deadpool, while not evil, is incredibly vulgar, flippant, and kills casually, and kids don't have the emotional maturity to realize "oh, deadpool's a broken man who hates himself, and what he's doing is not a good way to go about being a hero.") Dude. Lego doesn't make sets based on R-rated properties. That is the line, and the most they've "crossed" it was a CMF fig based on a show that was made TV-MA AFTER the CMF was already made (I think it was officially announced before Echo was changed to TV-MA. Might have already been in-stores, I don't remember). Lego isn't Hasbro. As for nothing bad is gonna happen, I don't think the general argument is that it would be a bad move (though I think it would be. I don't want lego to open the bottle of R-rated sets), just that they won't do it, and complaining online won't change that. And as much as I'd like to see @BrickBob Studpants eat a minifig, it's late enough in the game that I don't think we'll see him. Idk what the last message exactly means or that anyone has anti-deadpool bias, but lego isn't just going to ignore the character's reputation. Characters like daredevil and punisher have been relegated to only clearly comic-based versions in 18+ sets just because some of their more well-known stuff is mature. Deadpool is the embodiment of R-rated violence and language. Parents aren't going to be ok with him being in sets. I don't have as much of an attachment to deadpool, but I love Invincible. Maybe my favorite superhero. But I don't really want invincible sets, because I don't think they should make sets for properties like that regardless of how much I enjoy them. I think that's the view a lot of people have with Deadpool. -

It's pretty popular in the US- just with teenage girls, who don't normally otherwise buy legos. Taylor Swift has a wider range of fans, but still generally speaking not lego fans. And it wouldn't be a Taylor Swift set- it would be a deadpool set containing a minifigure played by Taylor Swift- I really don't think that'll net them enough sales to break their rule even if they did assign a monetary value to it. And if they just do a general Dazzler fig that's not of Taylor Swift's specific version, then they'd be expecting that her fans would be paying for an otherwise unrelated set containing a character that was played by her in a movie. I could see 20-25% of the characters remaining the same, but I'd be shocked if it was a much larger percentage than that, or if the repeated characters mostly used the same figures. Oscorp would be a direct follow-up to the bugle. They'd be attempting to reach the exact same demo that bought the bugle, and if half the figs are the same, they hurt their sales. They'll have to re-use some the same characters- Spider-Man, Goblin, likely a Peter Parker- but I'd be surprised if they kept the same designs (especially when you can make a new Peter with no new prints.) Spidey and Goblin are overdue new designs anyway. The only figure I could see showing up exactly the same would be Venom. Here's what I could see in terms of Oscorp's design and figures: Floor 1: Lobby with guard post and some exhibits. Floor 2: boardroom and the non-supervillainous laboratory with a spider in a glass box. Floor 3: Secret laboratory with cloning vats and Goblin transformation chamber. Floor 4: Osborn Penthouse. Figures: (Civilians with re-used parts): Peter Parker, Harry Osborn, Mary Jane Watson, Flash Thompson, Norman Osborn (new face print with a goblin-like second expression), Curt Conners, Miles Warren, Security officer, Oscorp Scientist. (Heroes re-used from sets we've gotten): Morbius, Wolveriene, Venom. (Re-used from 2025 sets): Spider-Man, Scarlet Spider, Spider-Man 2099, Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Kraven. New: Kaine, Electro, Rhino bigfig, Morlun, Silk. This does assume we get around six new/updated figs earlier that year, but if 2025's january wave skews more towards spider-man rather than the infinity saga, it's not too unrealistic. -

Which is a good 5/7, no? My fear is they're being swapped out for the midi-scale ships. We went from helmets, to helmets and dioramas, to dioramas and midi-scale ships, and now it's mostly midi-scale ships with only one diorama. I don't like how short-lived these adult-focused sublines are. It's not like kids where they age up and you want to bring in a new crop, so you've got to have an X-wing on shelves every 3 years. Adults aren't gonna suddenly lose interest after 7 dioramas. Totally agree, but I think unfortunately that time has passed. If they were gonna do it, we'd have gotten stuff around the release of Survivor. Maybe with the third game, though.... I personally agree. I know I saw a lot of hype for it online, but I wonder how many of the people who are excited about it would have been just as excited about a Duel of the Fates diorama. I thought this was going to be a different joke but what you actually did is so much funnier. I really hope that luke mech crashes and burns sales-wise. I know some AFOLS are going to buy multiples to give their x-wing pilots the improved printing/dual-molding if Luke's got it, but the mechs are such a dumb set idea, and a good % more expensive than the microfighters to. While neither are strictly canon, I'll go with the one representing an in-universe vehicle with more re-usable parts (as opposed to the massive parts in the mechs) at a lower cost any day. The june wave is something I think people are sleeping on just because of the mystery and insanity of some of the august sets. But it does have some cool stuff. $13 rex, Paz returning, the S3 mandalorains and imperials, etc. I don't think there's going to be anything all that interesting buildwise but figure wise it'll be great. -

As am I, but so far I don't think any of the dioramas have been terrible. The speeder chase was an odd choice, but not a terrible one, and while the podracer diorama is in no way the best TPM option, people seem excited (i guess). -
THE LUIGI'S PIZZA IS REAL This is actually an excellent idea, and I'm kind of surprised we haven't had it yet. I know it was discussed a little when Jurassic Park got a diorama around the same time as the first SW ones, but I haven't seen much discussion in the past year or so. I think it's a great idea, especially since lego seems hyper-focused on older films and shows- things perfect for diorama sets. The one concern is that we only have one SW diorama this year, so I'm a little worried they're ending the line. "So you're a man, and you dress like a bat, and you call yourself... I mean, don't you think that's a little lazy?" "Yeah.... I'm Man." The Knightmare scene but in reality so it's just Bruce sleeping in his bed with a new distressed face print.

I don't think we'll see that. If deadpool and wolverine in premise/itself isn't going to make lego break or bend their R-rating rule, a cameo character certainly won't be, regardless of who's playing her. We've also seen with the kpop set that raving fans in other fandoms don't necessarily correlate to high sales of related sets. I agree in general, but I think if/when oscorp shows up it'll be as a "replacement" for the bugle. Still different enough to warrant getting both, even at how expensive these modulars are, but the same general premise of civilian building with comic-based spider-man figures swarming it. -

It's fairly likely. The set he makes the most sense in anyway. At first I wasn't sure, as I assumed the set would be ANH based, but since the wings are supposed to swap around, I assume that they're comfortable taking a couple liberties with what it's based on. That's also possible. The information on that set's figure lineup is pretty sketchy. That said, there's no way it's a normal ROTJ falcon. Not recognizing the figures is one thing, but I can't imagine that someone would look at an ROTJ falcon and be like, "yup, that looks like evil to me" -
I dunno, I definitely feel like homelander falls into the "edgy for the sake of being edgy", but Omni-man really doesn't belong in the evil superman category. It's what people see in the memes, but it's not really his character. Don't forget that the system sets would be three luigi's pizza vehicles with the same two characters in each.

Don't do that. Don't give me hope. I suppose this is possible- the whole circumstances regarding Young Leia leaking were pretty suspicious in general. I suppose it would certainly fit with a creature build. My logic for the LOLA set being possible, as bad a financial move by lego as it would be, is that if young leia isn't an anniversary figure, it's pretty much the only thing that makes sense for a set only including her. It's totally possible she got moved to the sarlacc pit and is an anniversary figure, or the set comes with other figures as well and is something else, but it's a possibility. See this is what's confusing me. No way Nien Nunb is the sarlacc anniversary fig- he's from the same film, and that completely breaks the pattern that's been established so far. So is the 6th figure young leia, and it was just moved to the sarlacc? Was the "creature" set cancelled and they wanted to make sure they still got six figures out? Was the young leia rumor false, and there's a yet-unknown anniversary fig coming in the sarlacc? (Mara Jade Mara Jade Mara Jade - though sadly she'd actually fit the scene, if not in her standard outfit, and as such I'm not sure they'd put her there) -

Mandalorianknight replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
That's always possible, but I feel like four in a row is enough to be reasonably confident in the pattern. I agree. It wouldn't confirm anything, but getting some more comic-based spider-man sets next year would at least open the gate for an Oscorp in the fall. I generally agree with the wider sentiment on modulars being a place to get a large number of figs, including new ones, but we're never seeing a modular based on the newer defenders' corner of the marvel universe. It's become synonymous with the extremely gritty and not child-appropriate netflix shows (while I think daredevil is the best piece of superhero television/film ever, it's certainly not something lego would make sets off), and we know the 18+ label gave them just enough leeway to fit comic-based versions of DD and punisher into a spider-man set. I don't think lego would go for a set that, realistically speaking, would be heavily inspired by those netflix shows. I'd love to see it happen- I made one from daredevil a year or two ago, though it's got a pretty basic exterior looking back- but it's not something lego would ever do. -

I generally agree, though I'm unsure about R2-KT. The celebration set might be a lego.shop exclusive, but I don't think we've seen an indication that it'll be any harder to get than that- I doubt it's a convention exclusive, for instance. I think the most likely scenario is that there's an anniversary figure in the skiff as is now being reported, and the "creature" set is LOLA with young leia just as a normal figure, and whoever saw it was confused by her being on a plaque. -

I see where you're coming from, but I just don't know that lego's going to take a risk on either of those. I really don't think we see the planet- I think they'll want to gauge how well the new superman does before doing more than a playset or two for it, seeing as DC has been almost unilaterally batman for half a decade now- and while the fantastic four has a higher chance off being marvel, I'm still not sure. -

The X-mansion having 10 figs sounds about right. I think so long as Jean Grey, Professor X, Gambit, and Jubilee are included, it'll be a solid representation of the 90s cartoon (Haven't gotten around to '97 yet).
