  1. I get the instinct to want it to be some more interesting and/or figure-scaled thing, but just like when people were saying it might be a BB Zillo beast, this is almost certainly not the case. The other five anniversary figs are in skywalker saga sets, the non-skywalker saga sets don't have anniversary figs. I think C-3PO breaks the chain by not including one, but that's one exception, so it's still pretty likely the Young Leia set is skywalker saga based. I'd also say the fact we haven't heard anything about other figures implies there isn't anything new or interesting there, likely either nothing or a figure/figure-scaled brick build of the "buildable creature". Aside from all that, we really have no reason to believe the buildable creature rumor is false. Sometimes a Coughing Baby isn't concealing a Hydrogen Bomb. Sometimes it really is just a Coughing Baby. I thought the LAN members were duped too, and Lego themselves were in on it? I'm glad we're finally getting it, but I'm honestly really let down by the figure. No BD-1, no poncho, nothing really special about him unlike every other anniversary figure that's been officially shown as a product (Fives with cloth pauldron and arm printing, Saw with armor and special Cape, Malak with new mold)
  2. Ironically, I have a lot more vertical space than horizontal space at the moment. Partially because of that, I might go with Barad-Dur. I think the issue here is that there was no existing LOTR theme. Star Wars has been running for forever, and they can send the newer in-house themes to the people like the TTV channel who focus on in-house, since it's the same audience. It was the better part of a decade between the last Tolkien stuff and Rivendell, so they probably didn't have any LOTR reviewers on-deck. And they were likely also not wanting to induct new people into LAN- if they could even find popular lego LOTR channels active pre-rivendell- for what could be just a few sets.
  3. That sticker of Sauron goes hard. I'm biting the bullet and getting a LOTR set. Which one do you think I should get? Here's what I've got so far. Rivendell: More figs, more aesthetically pleasing/relaxing design Barad-Dur: Cheaper, Fell Beast GWP, more iconic design I'm leaning towards Barad-Dur at the moment. I might end up getting the other one some time later, but that'd likely be around this time of year in 2025, so Rivendell assumably would still be hanging on if I get Barad-Dur now.
  4. I'd be surprised if we got anything for the Rebels anniversary. They've really only been celebrating film ones. The clone wars anniversary was, in my opinion, a marketing scheme to sell more clone stuff, as evidenced by the fact that none of the sets were based on the 03 show. (So I guess a rebels anniversary is possible, but it'd be, like, an ahsoka set and an imperial era set with no rebels-specific figs or outfits) That said, these are great set ideas. You mean a BD-unit in an imperial color scheme that could NEVER be BD-1 in a paint job, because the rebels have NEVER done that. But anyway, I'm sensing a pretty clear bias here- c'mon man, TWO imperial pilots in one set? You can't let liking the imperial pilot character dilute the set! Tone it down, maybe make one of them a helmeted ISB agent with some sideburns on his head.
  5. Sorry, wasn't trying to debunk, just saying my guess. Though I do think at least half the repeat characters will be re-uses.
  6. Lego: *Proceeds to make a $80 batmobile with TNBA Batman and Joker*
  7. This is a really, really, really weird choice to me. Jubilee is a significantly more popular character, both in the show and in the wider universe/fanbase. The only thing I can think is they ran out of new prints, and Morph is just going to be a new head on Cyclops's torso. After people got mad at the droid carrier GWP for being a cool set, then got mad at the Fell Beast for not having a desirable enough exclusive figure, I can't IMAGINE the outrage of them putting Jubilee behind a GWP paywall. Does it track logically with the anger at the Fell Beast? No. Does it track with the fact that a set of the fanbase has just decided to passionately hate the concept of GWPS? Yes. Plus, I feel like that would actually be something to be rationally upset at. That's a pretty major character to lock behind a GWP. I'm guessing re-use, re-use, re-use, re-use, re-use, '97, '97, '97, '97 (new head, re-using cyclops's torso), lab coat.
  8. If I remember correctly, he did say it was an anniversary figure. (And for the people claiming he meant jedi bob, there was some other clue narrowing it down to characters who appeared in live-action, I think.) Which is sort of my point- he was banking on SOME figure being released that fit most of the clues, and that people would forget the others. It's why I prefer leakers that just say what their info is straight up, or ones like Renown, who do use clues and riddles, but don't try to make some giant stream or do tons of hints for a single thing. It's just one or two clues, and they're specific enough that it's clear he knows what he's talking about. (Though the 1984 one still confuses me)
  9. I meant UCS, so it'd be a normal AT-ST type.
  10. It's also been long enough that lego knows how poorly it did. If we're all able to see Lola shelfwarm everywhere- and I do. She's the only star wars item there's more than one copy of at my local Walmart's clearance aisle- there's like 5. More hilariously, she's been shelfwarming at local discount retailers like Ross and Ollie's since at least christmas 2023- lego can see that too. I highly doubt it's Lola, though if it was the case (And I don't remember either of the mentioned leakers saying that it was), it would be one of the funniest moves by lego in a year that includes Darth Jar Jar, Jedi Bob, and a $13 Rex. I think an AT-ST remake is also imminent, though I'd say 2026. I do think 2025 will have Anakin's ETA-2.
  11. Barad-Dur looks amazing. I held off on Rivendell, which was also amazing, due to the price, but I think this summer I'll have to get one of the two. Really like the differently colored bricks at the top to represent the light effect. Barad-Dur could easily have been a somewhat dull tower for the most part but they did a great job giving it a sense of environment and scale. Also, in regards to the fel beast, this along with that droid carrier from the start of the month is proof that lego can't win with GWPs. If it's as good as a retail set and/or there's desirable exclusives, people are mad they can't buy it normally. If there's not desirable exclusives, people are mad they aren't there.
  12. While I agree the imperials need BPs again and we need to stop getting so many clone ones, what I REALLY want is a return to the opposing battle packs they used to do. Fleet troopers and stormtroopers/navy troopers. Yup. Hate it when leakers do livestreams or otherwise try to make a big social media presence to drag out tiny bits of info. He claimed he was referring to young leia, but to be honest, I think young leia just happened to fit all the clues (that actually made any sense), and the leaker was just spouting hints to keep people on the stream. (This also fits with one of the hints being "not a main character" and then having to do the mental gymnastics of "well, YOUNG Leia isn't a main character, just adult Leia") The fact that jedi bob has just about all the hints fits that for me. The odds that SOMEONE would fit the clues were pretty high.
  13. Glad to hear it. Sooner or later, the Aslume always wins. In this case, it's luigi's pizza and somehow also the ninja turtles are present I guess. Who aren't superpowered. He'd get shot down pretty quick. Turtle does his best work when there aren't many new sets (The dead Indiana Jones theme, the dying DC theme) Glad we can get the most up-to-date info on whatever this is. I wonder if Brickheadz Joker is sad that he's a large cubical man. Does he like Minecraft?
  14. This is my guess as well actually- I think it's fine- three $100+ buildable guys in one year is kind of weird, but we know it's happening, and I don't think an ewok is all that similar to C-3PO.
  15. The duel of the fates between the heroic Jedi and villainous Sith has raged for millennia in this universe. But through the World Between Worlds, glimpses of another universe can be seen through half-destroyed portals. Come, and gaze through the Shattered Glass... Here's my first M4-24 entry, for the duel of the fates category- Shattered Glass! Here, the heroic Reborn Republic, led by Chancellor Palpatine and General Skywalker, fights the villainous Galactic Alliance agents, including Jedi Lord Kenobi and his acolyte Luke Starkiller. Their battle takes place on Angel Station, a moon-sized construct capable of shielding an entire planet from orbital bombardment. A station the Galactic Alliance seeks to destroy by exploiting a weakness in it's plans. Let's look at the figures: (Clockwise from bottom right): Chancellor Palpatine: The benevolent leader of the Republic, Senator Palpatine hid his Sith identity for years to avoid being murdered by the tyrannical Jedi Order that held the galaxy in it's grip. Saved from Lord Windu by sympathetic Jedi Anakin Skywalker, Chancellor Palpatine revived the republic from the grip of the Jedi and later had the Chancellorship bestowed upon him since, as a Sith, he was immune to jedi mind-altering tricks. Palpatine is so powerful in the force that he doesn't require a lightsaber, calling upon the elements themselves to defend his people. Sith Knight Anakin Skywalker: Anakin Skywalker's childhood as a slave on Tatooine helped him resist the Jedi's indoctrination, and in a critical moment, saved Senator Palpatine from jedi assassins. Following a subsequent battle with Lord Kenobi, Anakin was horribly burned and left for dead. Saved by Palpatine and armored in a suit built by the Kaminoans, Knight Skywalker protects the reborn Republic from the threat of the Galactic Alliance and Jedi Remnants. Admiral Tarkin: A veteran of the Mando'a War, Wilhuff Tarkin has served the republic ever since. Possessing the heart of a warrior, Tarkin often wishes he could fight the Alliance directly rather than send men into battle, but his tactical prowess makes him a necessary fixture of projects such as Angel Station. Suntrooper: During the Mando'a wars, heroic Mandalorian Troopers fought to take down the Jedi Order in a three-way war with them and forces of separatist War Droids. Tragically, the majority of Mandalorian Troopers died in the conflict, but the survivors went on to train citizens of the republic as Suntroopers, a force dedicated to preserving the republic and preventing the Alliance from taking over the galaxy. (Clockwise from bottom right): Jedi Acolyte Luke Starkiller: Taken from his family in secret by way of a mind-tricked doctor, Luke Skywalker, or Starkiller as he was rechristened, was trained in secret by Lord Kenobi, a remnant of the tyrannical Jedi Order. Shown above in his Galactic Alliance flight suit, Starkiller has been trained in emotionless combat by Lord Kenobi, but has a bad habit of letting emotions slip through while fighting- primarily rage of such intensity that his eyes glow with the power inherited from his father. Jedi Lord Kenobi: A survivor of the Jedi Order, Lord Kenobi helped to form the Galactic Alliance so that once more the Jedi may rule the galaxy. While too few in number to take back the galaxy themselves, the jedi guide the alliance in guerilla warfare, where Lord Kenobi trains acolytes to enhance the Jedi ranks. Countess Leia Organa: Kept apart from her brother and denied Jedi indoctrination and training so that Chancellor Palpatine wouldn't sense the concentration of force power, Countess Leia nonetheless became a malevolent force in the Galactic Alliance. Hailing from the corrupt nest of political intrigue known as Alderaan, Leia quickly rose through the Alliance ranks. Leia currently holds the plans to the Angel Station construct, and hopes to exploit a weakness in the plans to destroy the shield-generating creation. Han Solo: Having been booted from the Suntrooper Corps due to corruption, Han Solo drifted from planet to planet, gaining a reputation as a gambler and gunslinger. Han accepted a transport and espionage job from Lord Kenobi and joined in on the attempt to destroy Angel Station, hoping to profit from the destruction that would follow and patronage of a Jedi Lord. I was having trouble figuring out ways to make custom figures of characters we know, and thought it'd be fun to do a mirror universe type of thing. The first figure I designed for this was a temple guard grand inquisitor, who ended up being totally scrapped by the end!
  16. A Joker Brickheadz to surpass Metal Gear. the idea of brickheadz joker existing in the same world as normal minifigures is horrifying. Imagine if there was a giant, cubical man running the mafia in real life.
  17. If there's one thing consistent about Red Hood's character, it's his loyalty to the Joker. I didn't see whatever video this is, but I think the idea that spider-man would do better against batman's rogues than batman against spider-man's is totally accurate, mostly owing to the fact that spider-man is simply stronger than batman. That's not saying he's a better character, but on an objective level, he is more powerful, owing to his powers. (And he is also a genius just like batman). I think the biggest example of this is that they both have the same character archtype with Joker and Goblin- laughing fiend trying to get them to break down- but Goblin is essentially a souped-up joker, being a billionaire, genius, and having superpowers.
  18. Thank you for figuring out why it looks odd, I knew SOMETHING was wrong but couldn't tell what. Like you say, it needs the body/muscle detailing most superhero costumes have. Without it, it looks sort of like those hyper-detailed "classic" designs people make. Though I'm gonna be honest I'm still not a big fan of the hair on that fig either way.
  19. Oh yeah. In a heartbeat. Spider-Man's archenemy is basically a superpowered, rich Joker, for one thing. This is the single greatest lego or batman headcanon of all time. Brickheadz joker is the ultimate villain. Though, wouldn't his massively enhanced size over the lego batman minifigure mean he has powers?
  20. @PGBQW already answered this one for me, but yeah, I think it was american alien. I don't really remember anything beyond the joker part. I forgot about this- he had an epiphany that minifigure scale is his destiny, remember? LEGO BATMAN MOVIE 2 CONFIRMED BABY! LET'S GO! in terms of anything actually attempting to relate to on-topic (not that I think we should go back, it's just probably wise to sprinkle a bit in), my guess for 2025 remains that it'll be 1~3 superman sets with a couple comic-based batman sets and a D2C BTASmobile.
  21. That's mean. Robin's a very nice guy! Great ideas by @ARC2149Nova, @Agent Kallus, and @CloneCommando99. I've done a few batman wishlists before- made three of them into MOC set waves, in fact- but I thought it'd be interesting to do one with some of the star wars "gimmick" sets, like microfighters and battle packs. This is another pretty batman-focused one, to try and be more realistic. (For the microfighters, I think they do need to be movie-based to really have that collectability, but also how has lego not done this yet. You're telling me a line of batmobiles with their respective Batman wouldn't sell like hotcakes?) Microfighter: The Tumbler ($9.99): Batman (TDK Trilogy suit) Microfighter: The Batmobile ($9.99): Batman (Burton suit) "Battle Pack": Joker's Goons ($14.99): 4x joker goons (2x standard greenshirts with pistols, knit caps, and no face paint, 1x clown makeup goon in a reddish suit, and 1x heavy goon in a gas mask with clown paint and a bulletproof vest). Build is a forklift with a pallet of laughing gas canisters, and a wall that the forklift can smash through. "Battle Pack": GCPD ($14.99): 2x GCPD officer, 1x GCPD detective (modeled after Renee Montoya), 1x GCPD SWAT team member. Build is the Bat-signal and a police motorbike System sets: Catwoman's Diamond Heist ($14.99): A small room with a diamond under glass and a rooftop skylight for catwoman to sneak in through. Comes with Batman (Wave standard suit unless otherwise specified) and Catwoman Killer Croc's Hideout ($29.99): A small hideout with a crocodile and black two-seater jet-ski and some swampy terrain with Killer Croc, Batman (night vision goggles, tactical gear on suit), and Scarecrow. The Batmobile ($34.99): two-seater Batmobile with Batman, Robin (Dick Grayson), and Joker. Meant as a set that'd stay on shelves for three years so they don't have to keep remaking batmobiles. Armored Car Ambush ($39.99): Armored Car with a container of gold and a container of data cards, as well as a wall that can be ripped off. Also includes a small police barricade and a batcycle. Comes with Bane, Batman, 1x armored car driver, and Commissioner Gordon. Batwing Battle ($64.99): Batwing and a biplane for the Joker, as well as a motorcycle for Red Hood. Comes with Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn, and Red Hood. The Batcave Invaded ($109.99): Batcave with a prison cell, batcomputer, trophy room, training area, a small suit rack, and a gadget room/vault. Comes with Bruce Wayne, Batman (heavy armor), Alfred, Robin (Damian Wayne), Nightwing, Talon, 2x talons, and a Court of Owls member.
  22. There's an excellent comic where Joker comes to gotham and superman just completely lays into how dumb the character concept can be, serving both to demolish Joker's "game" and prevent him from returning to metropolis in-universe, and critically shredding some of the edgier, substanceless interpretations of joker out-of-universe. It's a great read, you should pick it up. Ask the creator. Yeah... that's Ashnflash, a youtuber. He's cool, but whether or not he had input on this MOC means nothing in respect to replicating the build IRL. I don't get why GL isn't more popular. Not just in lego but in general. I know the Ryan Reynolds film was pretty bad, but how does it nuke out an entire segment of the universe? Wayne Family Adventures feels like a good opportunity for an 18+ diorama, something to try and draw in those webtoon readers who wouldn't otherwise buy lego. I know it's supposed to be massively popular- it's the only webtoon I've ever read, at least.
  23. This is the most confusing one to me. The movie is 7 years old. What are you excited for here? The eighth of a brickheadz? What are you expecting to happen? Actually, hold on, I think we're reading this wrong, it doesn't track with his comments about how much he likes the bat-pod.
  24. Sure, but I can't MOC a book. I mean, I guess I could, but it's a bit of a different skillset. I did the tank droid... I was gonna say recently, but it's been four years. First MOC wave I ever did. Wow. Maybe I'll redo that first wave next year. Anyway, tangent aside, that's a great idea overall, though I might scale it to fit the price point. The swamp speeder is begging for a proper remake instead of that tiny 501st model. Maybe something like this? Battle of Felucia ($37.99): Larger Swamp Speeder and felucia terrain/plants. Comes with Aayla Secura, Commander Bly, 2x 327th trooper, 2x b1 battle droid, special anniversary TFU2 Starkiller. At least we're getting real bumblebee this year! My money's on soundwave in 2025, and he bears the CIS coloring already (navy blue and grey/silver with a bit of yellow accents), so any mech for them would be perfect! I am willing to bet actual money that one of these three shows up next year. Great list, though I am terrified for every jedi on it- why would you do this to them? (Can we get a turbo tank with a figure of, like, CGI blocked-in Quinlin?)
  25. That would be wonderful as well- really anything from the empire I'd be down for. (Monkey's paw I guess, watch us end up with another snowtrooper battle pack) Though I do wonder if they're making the gamble that the same design will be in the Thrawn movies and trying to hold off until then. Andor did the new stuff in such a great way too. For a show that felt as far removed from "let's merchandise this" as possible, they introduced a new faction (corporate security) and their gunship, the incredible Haulcraft, a "new" imperial trooper with the army trooper, and a new patrol speeder that's perfect battlepack size. And none of it felt out of place- the corpos scale the power of the empire (with the army troopers and their speeder providing the next level on that scale), and it makes complete sense for someone like Luthen to have the coolest ship in the known galaxy.
