You've seen that video too? "The record will be straight... heh heh heh heh heh... stay tuned" I wonder what 2025 holds for this theme. It assumably won't be mainly superman based- even with the movie, I can't see them doing more than 2-3 sets. The Batman 2 will likely also get a few sets, but that's an october film. I think we still may see a couple June sets, here are my guesses) A second wave of BTAS sets: Jonkler mech ($14.99, BTAS Jonkler), Buildable BTASman ($32.99), The Batwing ($64.99, BTAS Batman, BTAS Poison Ivy, BTAS Catwoman), UCS BTASmobile ($299.99, BTAS Batman, BTAS Robin) A wave of TDK sets (Jonkler Mech ($14.99, generic comic Jonkler), Buildable TDK Joker ($32.99), another Tumbler ($64.99 TDK Batman, TDK Bane, TDK Joker), UCS The Bat ($199.99, TDK Batman, TDK Catwoman)

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
We hadn't had super battle droids in 9 years with no prior indication of them returning, due to the molds being too brittle. It's been about as long since Tarkin, but Tarkin in a Death Star is a lot more obvious than super battle droids returning out of nowhere, and of course they just hadn't made tarkin- it wasn't like his hairpiece had a structural issue or something. If we get the ship, it'll be the former. Everyone seems to forget that the main audience of standard system sets is kids. Kids who, in the vast majority, would rather have starfighters or gunships or capital ships than a queen's cruiser, especially one that would inevitably be primarily LGB for budget (if they weren't going to make the Crest or the N1 primarily silver, there's no chance they do it for the queen's ship.) The audience with TPM nostalgia is old enough to be interested in 18+ sets now- hence the stuff we're getting this year- so a midi-scale cruiser is possible, especially since it'd probably be more likely to get more drumlaquered elements. But I don't think we get a playset of it anytime soon. -

I was at mcdonalds today and they had them on display for some reason. Why are these coming out now? Isn't the film next year? -

This is really interesting. We've seen the figure before in previous books, but I always assumed it was just a fun prototype never meant for official release. -
Even putting that aside, eurobrick's whole "only adult users" thing is like the age range on lego boxes- a suggestion they can't and don't really try to enforce. I may or may not have been like 14 when I joined, and I remember people literally talking about how they were 13 or 15 in their posts (I vividly remember some 13 year old heavily arguing that the platform they time travel from in Endgame should be a set). When I set in the Mobius Chair, this is the question I'm asking it.

Not as the build, as an accessory for the figure, seeing as otherwise she seems to only have one new print when most of the other revealed figures have at least one of a new mold, cloth elements, arm printing, etc. -

I don't remember this. Are you doing the "death star is a big lightsaber" bit? I think Lola's possible, otherwise the decision to include her just becomes more baffling. Maybe the fact that the creature sets tend not to have many new prints/molds has something to do with it? -
Jeez. There's a difference between "tamp it down a bit" and "you shouldn't be allowed to post on this forum" Same. It's not like there's much else to talk about, anyway. I think my biggest gripe with the figure selection right now is as simple as the lack of Robin. Even if the theme is no longer DC in general and only batman, Robin needs to be included.

Ironically, you've more or less answered your own question. Mega Bloks picked up the license. I don't know if we know the reason Lego lost it- I assume the sets for the first two films did well- but your general guess is correct. -

The new Ezra figure has a medium skin tone head with blue eyes and a beard. We will now be able to create Stilgar. -

I can finally rest... let the sun rise on a grateful universe. Lego Cal Kestis is real. This is interesting. I think I'm ok with the tradeoff of the poncho for BD, though I would have liked some arm printing. I want to preface this by saying that this video has absolutely no bearing on whether or not Cal is in season two. There's no way the creators would know. Actually, it's not happening either way. I was going to say there was a chance- Cal works with Saw between 15 and 10 BBY- but Andor is taking place at the same time as Rebels. Cal's already left Saw's group by now and is on Tanalorr. While he'll assumably return to the known galaxy to cap off the trilogy, I can't imagine they would spoil what he's up to in Andor. That said, I remain absolutely on the copium train that the second the trilogy ends, Cal begins appearing in the Ahsoka/Mando corner of the universe, helping their escapades in the New Beyond. Yeah, I'd have liked arm printing or a poncho. If he's got a way to mount BD on his back, I'm ok with the no poncho, but I think the arm printing really should have been there, especially considering the others. Nien and Malak get new molds, Fives gets a cloth element and arm printing, Saw gets the armor and cloth, etc. He comes in the Desert Skiff set. Nien looks good, this is pretty much how everyone expected he would look, I think, so not surprising, but still good. I actually like Ezra's force eyes, though I may be projecting my own want for Perida to have a heavy connection to the force (hence why Sabine was able to use it there), and Ezra spending so much time on it to have made him so powerful. Young Leia is fine but still an absurd choice for a figure, and I fully expect her set to crash and burn. Putting literally any other character into the creature set would have been a great way to get people who don't generally buy those to pick it up, so while I'm grateful as a consumer that lego didn't try and shove a super popular character into a set most people view as less desirable (I suppose it's possible it turns out to be great, but these creature sets normally don't do too well), I'm a little surprised they put what is undoubtably the least popular anniversary fig into that set. Also, that Yavin Temple at the end is beautiful. Shame we aren't getting a Yavin MBS anytime soon. -
I wonder if they were AI generated. It feels like such a small thing to actually have AI do, but it also feels like the exact type of thing copilot would say. This is true, but his figure also feels so unfinished with the lack of armor that I find it weird they chose to do him at all. Why not just do a character who wouldn't need an armor mold? Don't get me wrong, it's better than re-using Joker or Catwoman, but still odd.

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Don't even bring that up. There was so many good ideas in that show (and in the comic, which they took the name and pretty much nothing else from), and they dropped the ball so hard. It's the first time I've felt like Sam L Jackson was phoning something in. There were some great scenes- the one between him and his wife where they recite the poetry again, the scene where the skrull terrorist's people realize he's in the wrong and turn on him, etc, but it ended up failing pretty hard. And they wasted Rhodey, which is sad because he hasn't really had anything to do besides that, and Armor wars has been in development hell for a half-decade now. -

I may be wrong, but to my knowledge the product is not fully complete. Writing may be, filming may be, but postproduction is still a pretty big cost for this type of project, not to mention marketing. And at the end of the day, if the people in charge of putting these out decide the product isn't good enough to warrant putting the extra money in to release, I would personally trust it was a good idea considering how much content they put out that me and a lot of other people have been feeling is a downshift in quality. (Another thing to remember is that if a project isn't panning out/gets cancelled, it can save millions of dollars off taxes, which has to be factored in. This is why companies don't just dump anything they think isn't working out off disney+.) I'm also not really speaking about wonder man specifically- though I do think it's a prime candidate to get the axe if any more do (I'm counting the chunk of shows and movies that have gone into semi-permanent development hell), one of the biggest criticisms I've seen of this phase is that it lacks focus, and while you may have more knowledge than me I'd be surprised if Wonder Man built up to secret wars in any way besides him cameoing in whatever the final battle would be- but the idea that marvel's already-stated new plan of cutting back content to focus on increasing quality is good, and it makes sense for them to cancel projects they aren't confident in. It certainly would have been helpful in the last two phases. I believe one is coming this summer in a $60-100 set. Not too small, but smaller than the tower. I would assume Red Hulk will be included in that set, yes. -
Considering the average comment in this thread, including my own, I think this comment's probably fine Our bad. That's the armor from TLBM mr. Freeze. It's not in the upcoming set, unfortunately. Makes me wonder why he was chosen. Sure, he's an iconic interpretation of the character, but the figure looks pretty unfinished. Why not a different character not requiring a new mold? I mentioned this earlier! It sounds like someone trying to pad their resume with buzzwords.

I've known about wonder man for over a decade. I wouldn't consider myself a wonder man fan specifically, but I am a marvel fan. I maintain that given the quality of MCU projects over the past few years, it's clear they're unable to maintain quality with the expanded amount of content. I think cutting their content down to try and produce higher quality products is a viable strategy. No one's contesting that people put effort into it, and honestly your response kind of confuses me because I made that pretty clear. I honestly don't care whatsoever if some random guy on the internet doesn't consider me a fan. You're a fan if you enjoy some part of the universe enough to consider yourself a fan. That's the only requirement. Anyone who tries to decide who can and can't be a fan should re-evaluate what they're focusing on. -

This is a really good guess. Still a little skeptical, just because we've had Tarkins before and I can't remember the last time Renown hinted at something we've already had (for that matter, why he wouldn't just use a lesser-known tarkin qoute), but if he is stepping up his game like this, I'm excited to try and puzzle out his next one. -

These are MCU projects we're talking about. People put effort into everything, but it's not exactly like this is unadulterated artistic vision. I never get why people get all up in arms about "art" being cancelled. Products get cancelled all the time. In every field, there are people who work really hard on things that don't always pan out. It's part of having any job where you make something. It's fine to be disappointed, but if you can't handle it, find a job where you either aren't creating, or can handle your creation being cancelled/altered, and make what you want to make as a hobby. With the MCU over the past few years we've very clearly seen that quantity=/=quality. If scrapping some of the odder show choices can help them right the ship, I'm all for it. Even if we lose some of the film and show based sets. Which actually ties into a wider thing- I'm really hoping we get back to some more general superhero waves not based on live action stuff. We only get a few spider-man sets a year now aside from the 4+ waves. Quite literally three sets this year, and that's including a mech and a $10 set. -
This is terrifying, I'm in. I love this idea and would 100% watch a luigi's pizza sitcom set in the DC universe. Stop talking. If lego reads this thread you've just turned DC into Batman Ninjago. Action figure and mech are more or less gimmes at this point lol. Hopefully we get 1-2 sets based off the film. My thoughts on the sets: I was wrong, batmobile is blue. It looks alright, but honestly even with my expectations, I'm a little let down. The mostly studless look makes the studded sections feel off, and the set itself just looks kind of basic. ESPECIALLY for $60. This should have been a $40 set. Also, what's up with that title? It reads like someone trying to hit all the buzzwords on a resume. "Batman with The Batmobile vs Harley Quinn and Mr Freeze"? What is that? The mech armor is mech armor. I like the batarang. If this gets a batman set to sell, so be it, I can accept it. Bat-Pod is not bad, just an odd meshing of an adult-focused part of the franchise with a kid-focused set style. Almost wonder if a solo "UCS" Batpod would have been better. This is true, but at the same time they do get a lot more money out of marvel than DC.

Ongoing Transformers Rumors and Discussion

Bumping it up since we got some new info- 25cm tall- It says this scales with Optimus, but taking a ruler to my optimus, I think he's actually a bit taller than he should be? Not that that's an issue- G1 scale was a joke. Also says it includes a 2x2 yellow tile with "the transformers logo". I assume this is just the autobot symbol on his chest given the yellow background. -
I don't think jonkling was ever prohibited, but I think the sentiment is widely pro-jonkle so long as sane people are allowed to remind us it's stupid (and we indeed are) But yeah the idea that the catcycle should have been a DC set might top Luigi's Pizzeria. Some other ideas: Scarecrow ($9.99): A scarecrow and part of a wheat field Penguins ($39.99): Penguin enclosure with a couple seating areas outside (they have umbrellas at the tables) Poison Ivy ($69.99): A large poison ivy plant sort of like the art sets Clay Face ($99.99): A large drama mask made out of medium nougat Bat ($129.99): A life-sized lego bat Man ($159.99): A large figure of an adult male True I'm pretty sure we're all OK with that, it's one of the bigger memes in the wider aslume meme thing. I figure we already got his best variant (luigi's pizza) so we need more important figures

I didn't watch the Marvels, but if I remember correctly, her suit in the Marvels has a lot more red on it, whereas the suit in the show is more comic-accurate. Totally forgot we didn't get him- he 100% should have been in series 2. -

I know we didn't go back to the series 1 shows much, but I also would have loved Zemo. Or Ms. Marvel, or Mobius, or Oroborous.
