  1. @Ashnflash, we can't get a lego green lantern movie because Universal doesn't have the rights. (I'm joking) Thank god for the /s at the end. Danny Devito is CLEARLY Garmadon material. Though to be honest, I wouldn't be opposed to Dafne Keen as Nya- it could be fun to see her having a more bubbly personality like early Nya after we got to see her be full bad*ss in deadpool and wolverine. Xolo- that's Beetle, right? could do well too, though I don't see him as Lloyd. Tom Holland could actually be a solid Jay, although I would like to nominate myself for the role. Same as the over/under on whether the movie is good. I don't hate Aquafina- I liked her in Shang-Chi- but if she shows up in a movie, 9 times out of 10 it's a mark of death.
  2. There are 14 million to 1 odds he was joking. That look ahead video does not give me a ton of hope for anything but Daredevil. I'd be OK if they skipped pretty much everything in that video lego-wise TBH, not really a fan of any of the designs from the stuff that could get sets. Spider-man especially- I know it's not MCU adjacent or whatever anymore but how do you go from the homemade suit in homecoming to that? (Oh, I also would want the captain america jaeger from What IF S3. IIRC it's Sam as Cap in that one so I wouldn't mind if it had giant falcon wings either.)
  3. Wait, they aren't really robots? I knew C-3PO was just some guy in a suit! Next thing I know you'll be telling me there was a little man who crouched inside R2-D2 to play him. You don't seem to understand that every time you tell him that, you generate another riddler trophy in the Shadow Box. He's not hurting anyone, leave him be. If the mods seriously enforced the account rules a solid chunk of this forum would be wiped out. Again, he's not hurting anyone, and a pretty big chunk of the forum either is breaking account rules or was when they made their account (I'll say again, me included, I was a minor when I first made my account). If he's not doing anything egregious I don't think he should be forced offline. I had to google this because I thought you were making some sort of convoluted Dummy joke at first. Very nice, you've done a great job getting his features at that scale! I think a lighter nougat color might help him pop a little more. I don't know how to tell you this but they cast the earth-2 version of Stephan Hunter.
  4. I feel like we have a shot at a remake of TIE Advanced vs Y-wing. It's been a long time since our last version of both models, and the $110ish starfighter two-pack has become a lego staple. We were getting an AT-ST every three years between 2016-2022. I wouldn't be shocked if we saw another variant one (maybe a head-included FO AT-ST to get characters like Kylo and Rey on shelves) soon.
  5. A-bomb, baby. I have to agree- many are just too big compared to minifigs, they're severely lacking in articulation, etc. Every "Absolute" that you add to Absolute Batman doubles his width.
  6. Yeah- I've read the book ( I remember thinking it was OK) I just couldn't remember if that was his name. I do too, but unfortunately, since the last one could barely fit 4 in the bay, if this one's the same price after 8 years, half of which was during monumental inflation and lego's own price increases... it'll either be super chibi, or I worry we'll be lucky to fit two guys in the bay.
  7. despicable. Normal Bombur couldn't, but maybe Evil Bombur has it in him. Let's go! (This brings me back to my days as our battlefront 2015's squad medic) Good to have you back, toting heavy weapons no less. "I'm building an alliance, to defend ourselves" (From evil bombur) Oh. Oh no.
  8. Hey Hey! To clear things up this guy's other post is in the future set wishlist threat saying he wants a Sidon Ithano figure- I don't think he's trying to hint at anything I think this is just a Sidon Ithano fan (Welcome to eurobricks, by the way! Sidon Ithano would make a pretty cool profile picture for your account)
  9. Thank you for putting it in a spoiler so children don't accidentally stumble upon it, that's such a dark and twisted figure. *sighs* Waltuh, put your bricks away waltuh, I'm not building legos with you right now waltuh The question is, is Evil Bombur a Bombur unshackled by morality of what he can and can't eat, and as such a cannibal or galactus type, or is he something even more twisted- a vegan Bombur?
  10. They do it because it's cheaper not to print the legs. I don't get the logic here- because one character needs arm printing, it's weird that another got leg printing?
  11. 100% agree. Lego uses capes for a lot of SW characters who don't have capes. Palpatine, Old Ben, a pretty solid chunk of jedi- it's often used just to represent robes when that's not really accurate. I don't think it's all that much of an issue- for a lot of characters you can just remove the cape if you don't like it- but it is a weird inaccuracy. I wonder if lego's inching away from fabric capes will start getting us more stuff like skirt piece palpatine. If it's an in-between between LBG and white, it could be used for stuff like X-wings, Lambdas, snowspeeders, etc. (I agree that it's just white, I'm just saying there are places they could take that color)
  12. It has to, right? I always assumed there was at least a perceived licensing issue by lego, but if they're allowed to throw an ATSV set out now, I can't assume anything would stop them from making tie in sets for BTSV To be fair it is kind of needed for Spot's design. I feel like this wave alone doesn't give us a ton figure wise for guessing the next D2C. Oscorp is the most likely, since we have 4 spider-men and three villains for them to choose from, but Peter, Miles, Gwen, and Venom are pretty much always on shelves anyway. Anti-Venom and Julia Carpenter are a little more interesting (especially since lego's apparently immediately dropped the venomized villains idea) but not as obvious as if we had, say, a new goblin and jackal or something.
  13. I said you were the one batman, I'm asking who the other one is! I feel like it has to be someone made out of fire or spikes or something- Dummy's whole thing is tanking damage.
  14. Me too! I always like when they include things that work in a more standard superhero context rather than "Every single superhero owns a sports car that's simultaneously too weird and colorful to be a real car but not interesting or unique enough to be cool" I really don't think so- it's a spider-man mech, and since we just got a venom mech I can't imagine they'd give us essentially the exact same thing only a year later.
  15. Venom car should have been Venom Horse (with new Christmas figure- I need a lego version) But seriously venom car is whatever, pretty generic. I've resigned myself to their existence, but this one should at least have looked monstrous instead of just a black car. Iron man car is a little nicer, and something tony would legitimately have, but Red Hulk was a terrible choice for the villain Spider-Verse set is an instant.
  16. It's the same reason ninjago always has hero vehicles instead of villain ones, despite the fact that it means you're getting basically the same 6 vehicles rotating between the same 6 color schemes every year- kids buy more hero stuff than villain stuff. Absolutely (everyone please applaud my joke about alternate universe characters). That said, being wolverine and all, I do think that design has a fair shot at showing up somewhere.
  17. Fixed the names for you I remember that now. Why do I also remember you having a lego joker profile picture? Holy cow it's been so long since we made just normal aslume jokes. We've devolved so far past the "haha, we're using a different character name". Or General Mordo from Venom 3- the rise of Venom Horse
  18. Bold of you to assume turtle is merely an apprentice... The former. I agree with you on the latter. It was prophesized in the ancient texts! I remember back when you had a Joker pfp.
  19. Chrome hasn't stopped completely in lego. The LOTR ring for example. It's kind of interesting to see lego's thought process here- in 2023 they bumped the mechs from $10 to $15 without really making them contain more stuff. The extra minifig in the miles set and now all upcoming mechs is assumably meant to give that price bump an associated value bump (I would guess the 2023 mechs didn't sell as well as their 2020-2022 counterparts). The reason I bring this up is the star wars mechs are already a bit more expensive than the superhero ones- $17 if I'm remembering right. I think whether or not we get an extra minifigure is going to depend on how well the mechs sold- pretty terribly around me, though I am guilty of buying the stormtrooper one in 2023 just to see what was up with them. Also, I've hated on the star wars mechs for a long time, but if we start getting ones like the X-wing mech with two minifigures, I'd be completely down for it. (Of course, I'd vastly prefer just getting small system sets again, but lego's done nothing but gimmicks for this price point for over a decade. Even though Marvel has those excellent $10 sets with two figs, it seems star wars won't be getting any.)
  20. Say it with me everybody- there's only ever been one blade, there's only ever gonna be one blade. Is that the wolverine one where his face is fully covered? It looks pretty sick. Fortunately there is an easy fix for this.
  21. I was just gonna stuff a Bacta Grenade under your helmet, I already used up all the Lazarus Pit liquid I had on turtle. The Turtle Superman Redemption Arc is a 10/10 literary masterwork. I can't believe you and turtle are the only two people in the world to believe this. Teeage Mutant Ninja Turtles - pizza - LUGI'S pizza. "I thought it was obvious."
  22. Seriously incredible work- the sheer volume of sets is impressive. I like the scope of different parts of the universe, throughlines, and sublines, as well as the easter eggs like Beast Boy's propensity to show up in sets as various animals. Really nice job on that Jokermobile and making a kid-friendly task force X setup. Honored to be a part of the wedding (I think? I assume I'm the guy with the mando helmet. I'd love to get a list of the members- I see you, Murdoch, Commando, Brickbob, Dummy, Swordy, Spaceman, Arc, and Nostalgia. Who's the other batman, assuming THELEGOBATMAN is superman)
  23. It was me, Barry. Come pick your bone. I dunno, is anyone opposed to resurrecting Clone Commando? Did... did we ever actually kill Nekron? I think Turtle's return sent him into hiding. I guess it is coming. Honestly I'm optimistic about Arkham. If they create two generic arkham inmate suits, they can give us a TON of villains with the only new unique print being the head.
  24. Yeah, that's a buy. For some reason the only non spider-man based marvel sets I've bought since Endgame have been the iron man mechs, and this one not only has a solid suit, but folds in a great comic Ultron. And the mech itself doesn't look bad either! I especially like that after their previous attempts on integrating the tile shooters, they just went "you know what? It's just his entire hand now. His hand is a gun."
  25. I'm pretty sure we have to ressurect you, right? Unless that already happened and you forgot to change your PFP. I can't believe I missed this- I've been slacking in the future sets department. This is worded out like that "why doesn't batman just call the justice league? Is he stupid? post that started it all.
