  1. Single, for sure. The 2016 one had a single seater and this one's cheaper even before inflation, isn't it? I feel like we usually get the star wars leaks around Thanksgiving/end of november, so we might have another few weeks to wait. That's crazy- I can't think of any other times a full theme didn't even have set NAMES this close to release.
  2. The GNK droid and vader are both nice, but man, the white hips on those stormtroopers really take them up a notch. Love it! Arctic Lando feels like it might as well BE canon, I could totally see him wearing it. Shame he didn't join up until after Hoth.
  3. I'm not making the raft. It'd have the same inmates anyway. This is correct being funnier than me is a crime this is why the majority of the world are criminals. Maybe- it'd essentially just be sitting on the side. If anyone's missing I'll do the prison transport bus but yeah I think we've got all the serial posters.
  4. What about Master Vos's forces on Blocks Pity? I feel like this is a bit optimistic. I'd see (and even I'm being optimistic): 6 villains in generic garb (Joker, Riddler, Bane, Mr. Freeze, Catwoman, Scarecrow), 4 costumed villains (Hush, Killer Croc, Deathstroke, Poison Ivy), 2 guards, Hugo Strange, Harleen Quinzel, Aaron Cash, Batman, Nightwing, Damian, and Barbara. I'd say this can't be it but we had marvel mechs directly based on the marvel mech series. I think you're right on the money- now we just need our "Grodd cosplays as Flash" mech. This is correct, but remember there are venoms of all colors. If we snuck Christmas from The Last Dance into your ranks, we could reclaim some of the Batmen. (I'll let you in on a secret- Mara is carrying Anti-Venom and that's why she's on our side despite wearing mostly blacktron colors. The scarf was a misdirect.) Not all of them, just Joker
  5. Aw man, so I made this for nothing? (Joking) Alright, starting on the top left and moving clockwise, we've got: @ILoveSeatron: Crimes/gang affiliatons/etc: Member of Futron, charged with leaking Seatron prototypes. Comes with a magnifying glass (for uncovering the mysteries of the Aslume) and a starfish from Seatron itself. @thephantasm: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: vigilantism, space vigilantism. Charged with killing mob connected criminals, which is vigilantism earth and a crime on Oa as it's illegal to kill anyone with the GL ring. Comes with a scythe and GL ring. @Max_Lego: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: Charged with producing custom lego minifigures good enough that lego arrested him for copyright violations. Comes with a paintbrush and Man figure. @PGBQW: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: Charged with a new crime called "vehicular tax evasion" and changing the hierarchy of power in the Sony Universe. Comes with a bat and The Rock. @calebcold3: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: he's actually innocent and was framed for literally every crime it's possible for a human to commit by J. Jonah Jameson. I didn't really know what accessories to give him, so Caleb let me know which ones you want. @TheBatstan: Crimes/gang affiliations/etc: charged with predicting the future (Turtle's return in the impeccable disguise of RiddlerDC), making him a false prophet in the eyes of the Lisan Al Gaib, as well as using the "it's you" panel and therefore being funnier than MandalorianKnight. Comes with two batarangs
  6. I've never played Horizon and don't feel particularly inclined to, but man, this set not only looks great but has an INSANE PPP and overall value for a licensed set. If we got a Ratchet minifigure before Optimus/Megatron/Bumblebee/the Waves/Starscream/etc, I'd be extremely confused. (I know, I know, you're referring to the Ratchet of Clank fame)
  7. Yeah the second one wasn't as good, but it was still a fun ride. The flash, though... even aside with the rest of the problems, I just can't get past the fact that they pumped this thing out pretending Ezra Miller's Geneva Convention any% speedrun didn't exist. They've cancelled projects and removed actors for saying stuff they don't like, but Flash commits, like, every crime, a number of them actively on video, and they barely acknowledge it. Devastating blow to blacktron. Shouldn't have given Mara access to your comms system when you were trying to recruit her.
  8. To be fair the spider-verse films haven't gotten anything until January. I'm disappointed we won't get God of Stories Loki, but aside from that I don't really care, and also- let's be honest guys. A CMF full of spider-men variants is going to do a lot better, especially with children and more casual fans, than most of the disney+ show characters. That's not even a statement on quality (though the majority of them aren't exactly daredevil)- you could give a kid a choice between a cool Spider-Man variant or God of Stories Loki and 9/10 of them will choose spider man.
  9. For me there were a few big things that sold it- 1. The sense of scale and mythical feel to the characters. The biggest thing that the DCEU needed to do to be successful was differentiate itself from marvel- while nowadays a DCU like the Infinity Saga could probably stand a chance to fight with a slipping Marvel, you weren't taking it on at the height of it's power. It needed to be something different, and the DCEU's superman- especially his "second chance" scene- had a larger-than-life aspect that marvel wasn't trying to fill the niche of. The whole setup for Darkseid also felt like this, the scene of the heroes staring him down through the portal, the flash goes back in time scene, etc. DC's biggest difference from marvel has always been, in my opinion, that whole "gods among us" tagline from injustice. The marvel heroes are meant to be more strictly relatable 2. Yes, the darker tone- while BvS executes it poorly. Marvel has stuff with a darker tone, but the DCEU had you really feel the impending threat of darkseid. Thanos was set up throughout the MCU, but you didn't really feel that sense of dread until the second or third act of infinity war. Justice League does such a great job setting him up and making you really feel that sense of impending doom while still ending with hope. (Again this is not anything against the infinity saga- I'm not saying this is better, but it is also good, and it is different. I guess the way I'd put it is that the MCU is tonally more like Star Wars and the DCEU, at least MoS and Justice League 2021, was tonally like Dune. That's not to say one is better than the other, or even that one can do that sort of tone better than the other (I mean, c'mon, Daredevil and Andor), just that they went for different tones and that's what they needed to do with this. I have no faith that Gunn's tone isn't just going to be "Guardians but rated R half the time"- exemplified by the fact that he's placed such an emphasis on the suicide squad, to the extent of cutting Cavill Superman for a "clean slate" but then turning around and keeping the guys from HIS movies- and I think it's a misstep at a time when DC actually has a shot at taking the crown movie/tv wise. I did like Shazam. Sort of taken out of context- he said more as like "my movies are going to be darker in tone, this is the type of thing that could happen". It's still a weird and bad choice of example, but I doubt he was ever going to do that specifically, and there's no evidence it was ever intended to be in any of his movies.
  10. If we got the original JL in 2017 it very well could have averted the course the franchise ended up going on. BvS was a big misstep, but the Snyder Cut's a big step up (especially if they'd cut it back down to 2.5-3 hours for a theatrical release). It was never going to beat the Infinity Saga era MCU, but if they'd at least kept with the plan they could have had something better than what we ended up getting, which was nonsense. I'll take Man of Steel, WW, and Snyder Cut over pretty much any DCEU movie released after WW. Yeah, when we don't get the normal designs for most DC characters anymore, an elseworlds CMF just feels wrong.
  11. I will eventually, but I work full time, so realistically this is only something I can put much time into on the weekends. Aslume is part of a joke that started in the Batman Arkham game community. I think the first one was a post on one of the reddits or something saying "Why doesn't Man (referring to Batman) just call the justice league for help? Is he stupid?", which snowballed into the entire community becoming a hotbed of jokes involving misspelling character names (Man, Jonkler, Ham Aslume), questioning motivations, and asking if characters were stupid. My personal favorite one of these, which a coworker showed me before I'd really seen any of the aslume stuff, was "What do you guys think the J brand on Jason Todd's cheek stands for? My friend thinks it stands for Jesus because he too came back from the dead, but I think it stands for Jarkham Knight."
  12. A lot of us would like some of the variants that weren't in the movies, such as Superior Spider-Man, 60's spider man (who I guess they could TECHNICALLY put in a movie cmf but I doubt they will), Spider-UK, Cosmic spider-man, etc. And like you say, it'd still be able to include the ATSV characters too as Miles, Hobie, Gwen, etc are all in those comics. Look- I'm very excited for the CMF even if it is film based, but I totally get why people want Otto or Kaine or what have you. I'm so tired of this. She strangled the slug monster who put her in that and then blew up his ship and most of his acquaintances.
  13. Have... have you seen the movies? It kind of seems like you haven't even watched the trailers or anything. Peter is the deuteragonist of the first film and there's a billion peters in both. Me too man, me too.
  14. I think most of them at least broke even, didn't they? And the first few generally made some solid money, even if BvS got bad reviews. The Spider-Verse movies are also animated, and animated films just don't tend to make as much as live action ones. That's not a knock against the medium, it's just the truth. Perfectly balanced, one might say.
  15. Whoah, whoah, whoah- you can have the rest of them, but Mara Jade iconicly has a large tan scarf, and between that and her in-universe famously red hair (which isn't clothing, but still a major part of her appearance), she's on our side. It's not just anyone with black on them, they have to be fully wearing black (because clearly there are objective rules to this, obviously). That sounds more like Absolute Man, you can have him, just make sure you get some black bricks. Turtle was right all along. It's not, but the fact that I had to stop and think about whether or not this was true really does say something about the DCEU
  16. I forgot that it doesn't work anymore as one of them exists now. We need to smuggle you into lego HQ immediately. Incredible. Agreed *singing* VENOM VENOM I hope we get at least 3 Morbius variants. Very excited about the spider-verse CMF. It's probably just Sony, which is still INCREDIBLE, but one with the comics too would be like the best lego marvel thing ever. Marvel Zombies is, in fact, animated
  17. This is actually what I refer to whenever I saw GWP. Except for when I'm designing a (non-lego) refrigerator, in which case I mean gift with purchase. (Joking of course) Anything between 17 and 22, you can choose. The tower of fate is no gift. It's a responsibility.
  18. I can't believe they've rescue botted my spider-men. Also cool to see that we're still trying to push Reptil. He's a solid kid appeal character. Spider man AND dinosaurs? Dude, the target audience of these are going to bounce off the walls.
  19. I feel as though you deserve to get all the black-armored or clothed characters, right? Besides Man of course.
  20. As a massive range trooper fan, I can assure you, they might as well have never released. They are IMPOSSIBLE to obtain. Sure, but they charged $35 for yoda and an astromech in 2023. They charged $30 for Anakin and an astromech back in 2020- which due to our crippling inflation would be $37 now.
  21. Keep him away from Jonklers Who's commander cody? Do you mean conmander codine? One gets professor-X'd. Correct.
  22. I think it's generally considered the slot right below the F-bomb in the ranking system. It's hard to find specifics but from what I can see, it's essentially to PG movies what the F-bomb is to PG-13 movies- you might get one, but it'll be restricted. Whereas more minor language you can use pretty consistently in a PG movie. I'm glad I'm not the only person who came to the conclusion that instead of a themed dino/vehicle like the others, since there is no gwen minifigure, this must in fact be Gwen, turned into a dino by a pterosaur with no interest in curing cancer. This is why we've never had him in lego form.
  23. The second line was in response to Renny talking about RedhoodPug, sorry. Good, it'll be useful in the prison rio- I mean, what shield? You're getting Venom Horse. That was 100% always the plan, I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't get this one- is that not a term across the pond? I just googled it to make sure I didn't somehow generate the term, it's 100% what it's called over here.
  24. Lisan Al Gaib. Show us the way. I agree- even if it's rubber, if it's the newer rubber and not TCW era rubber, it'll be a huge improvement. But those are $15 and $10 more than Plo's. I feel like that's something that really needs to be considered. This is actually why I think Plo's will only have him and the droid- that set came out before the price increases really started hitting. Bob's starfighter- with two figs and a GNK- was $40, Ahsoka's is $45 with two figs and an astromech. Plo's is back to $30.
  25. These are all jokes and not organized groups. I wouldn't say either of us are "good guys", although Blacktron are bad guys so if Swordy has joined them it would imply he's started his villain arc. I am forever in your debt for producing that trailer. I see you trying to sneak postman pat's cat in there, it hasn't proven itself yet. It needs to rip Dex-star's ring from his dead hands before it can join the ranks. Semi unrelated but if you like the Venom Horse from the trailer make sure you watch the movie- I won't say more than that. Also I can't believe Venom Horse wasn't your cell minibuild- I mean, since the renders didn't go through, uh, venom horse WAS your cell minibuild, the captain carter shield was a joke. Totally.
