I don't think so to be honest. Turtle has never been a fan of marvel, and Gambit lacks his distinctive style. Plus, Turtle doesn't seem the type to make up leaks, otherwise we'd have been inundated with hundreds of "leakers" claiming Indiana Jones was returning for realsies. Very excited to see this. I'm interested to see what you can do with the limitations of his beard+fat sac piece. That's a fairly solid name+PFP for a 12year old, to be fair. Your name always stuck out to me from around when I joined, just the all caps THELEGOBATMAN. My turn for an origin: I liked mandalorians and was excited about the at the time very secretive new show. My first profile picture, the one before my "actual photo of me in a suit and mandalorian helmet" one, was the first official concept art we ever got for the show, back before we knew really anything else about it. I have no idea why I added "knight", I was never a fan of the castle subtheme, assumably I just thought it sounded cool. man, I remember a lot of the people I talked to on this forum that have since moved on. I think we still see @ArrowBricks sometimes, and obviously @ARC2149Nova (Who I think was the first guy to ask for a part file for one of my MOCs, which was a huge confidence booster for teenage me) has become active again, but others like @Sarah_H7744 stopped posting entirely. Same with @The Stud a year or two ago too- the two of us were pretty active in the same threads. I've kind of considered people like nostalgia and commando the "new crop" of users, which is funny to me because (guys please do not start saying your ages here especially if you're minors) I think we're probably roughly the same age, and also because I myself have only been on the forum for 5-6 years now. There are probably still people active who have been here for decades. I also respect it. Thank you for being the first to point out the return of everyone's favorite hero in a half shell.

Something from your sick and twisted mind no doubt. Is little ceaser's crazy bread just like normal bread to you? Basically, they're pretty lame. You guys can join the army at 16 over there? We at least had to lie if we were under 18. Is your father made out of your father, or are you saying your cape is made out of your dad? This changes everything

I think the Mando film is 100% happening at this point, they've been shooting, there was a trailer- I can't think of any star wars movies/shows that had a trailer-with actual film footage, not like Rogue Squadron where it was just the director saying hi- and were then cancelled. Plus it's by far the most popular thing to come out of star wars in decades. It's their safest bet. I still think this gets cancelled. There's only ever been one Blade. There's only ever gonna be one Blade. I am glad people are remembering this and happy I am recognized as a champion of this strategy. I know a lot of people who collect for awhile get annoyed when sets/locations they already have are remade, but kids (and adults who are just getting in/back in to the theme) should almost always be able to get their hands on an X-wing/Tie Fighter/Falcon/etc. It's a smart financial move by lego and it helps new fans get in to the hobby. -
Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Truly showing the favoritism lego grants to DC over marvel. To be fair, one of those sets was an $85 set with one new character, who also appeared in the $330 mansion that was going to include new characters no matter what. Without the D2C budget siphoning strategy they use, I don't know that they'll be too eager to give us more new characters. I honestly think I'm being optimistic by hoping Gambit will be in a set next year. I wouldn't be surprised if we got a $60-70 sentinal (that would look like a $40 set) with Wolverine, Magneto, and then, say, Prof X and Jean or something. -
YES I don't think EB actually cares about a lot of that stuff- we actively had/have a lot of people here who were/are openly children or teens which is also technically not allowed. I wasn't an adult yet when I made my account. "Micheal that's not a hate crime" "WELL I HATED IT!" But I agree, Lego has been discriminating against the morbusus for too long. Only one figure in 13 years of the theme. "I'm done saving you." You have my axe. Is evil Bombur weirdly thin? Or- hear me out- it's the exact same character he's just wearing his stupid little cloak. Superman mech- we all know it should've been a Lex Mech, that horse has been beaten into the grave, pulled out, and beaten again. Lex's suit looks good. I want the transparent armor part so if it hits discount I'll pick it up. 4+ set- it's a 4+ set. Since they gave Freeze new prints I would have preferred another character- we've been missing so many batman A-list villains for a good chunk of time now- but it's whatever. Tumbler- Primus grant me the strength to not buy a $20 upcharged copy of a set I already have for more Nolan figs.

I bought the war machine mech and NWH expansion pack like a week before christmas (so about two weeks from january 2024), are you sure they were revealed that late? I remember being surprised that they were out before their street date, but I know I'd seen them revealed before. -

Can't wait for her lego-exclusive outfit, "Parka and snowpants". (Semi-joking- lego's censorship of costumes can get pretty absurd sometimes, but Emma's definitely a case where it's justified to add some spandex underneath or something.) Yeah, I think even if/though our Gambit-based leaker is a false prophet, the Sentinal is fairly likely. -

So the red hulk brickheadz is just a recolor of the original hulk brickheadz, which is really, really funny. -
I don't think it's solely applicable to lego- DC needs to get kids into the universe. Making so much of it inaccessible to them is a pretty big misstep IMO. Also, not to bring the Gunn fight back up (Although I mainly stayed out of it last time) but that trailer really isn't helping him beat the "he can make one type of project" allegations. Band of outcast misfits tearing a bloody path through society alongside a cutsey but hyperviolent mascot who has extremely limited speech. I think Hal is too unrealistic. Best case scenario it's a GL mech with John Stewart (Re-using a head, no leg printing) Yes. It's fun to have you back, turtle, but... yes. You are the only fan of that movie. I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this.

Yeah. MBS Endor is probably the biggest set (That we'd realistically get- I'd sell my kidneys for a UCS Mantis) that I'd make a priority day 1 buy. A buildable ewok is... a choice. I don't trust the Gambit leaker but he told me something I want to hear (Gambit in a cheaper set) so now I have to gaslight myself into thinking he's legit. But yeah- fake leakers are one thing, clickbaity youtubers who do this stuff are somehow significantly more annoying. We're probably about a month out from images of the january sets- they always seem to leak around Thanksgiving. I know there was a streak a couple years back where they were leaked/revealed ON Thanksgiving a few years in a row. -

They'd need different helmets, but some of the Mandalorian TV show mandalorians have a chestplate design that appears to be the same between both genders of mando. -
I have bad news for you. Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your curfew... Half of the accounts following me are the same guy. Choju/kong. He wasn't even a member he posted one fake leak on one account and just came back 50 times within a single day. I do think it's him, it's honestly kind of nice to have him back especially now that the average member is just as insane and the average post is significantly more off-topic than what he says. This is the best joke on the forum I will not hear otherwise. The three jonklers (one of which is in a CMF style crowbar suit), Bueno Excellente, a refrigerator, dogwelder, the defenestrator, the regurgitator, Dr. Doofinshmirtz, the equalizer, blade, blade (from community), red tool, red stool, and Mr. T (he pities the fool).

I agree on the former, probably as the $20ish set as a cheap way to get Mando and Grogu. I think you're right about the Chimera too, especially if it has that gold kintsugi still. Anakin was taken from his mom when he was 9 and never had a father. Luke's mom died when he was an infant and he didn't meet his father until he was 19. (Also, Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru are not Luke's parents? What?) -
I feel ashamed that I wasn't the one to use this when turtle returned. It's one of my favorite moments in comics and I've wanted to use it as a reaction panel for forever but never had the right situation. When I was a kid I thought Adult Swim meant they weren't showing anything at that time, because when they did "Adult Swim" at my local pool it was really just a 15 minute break for the lifeguards to swap out and adults rarely took advantage of, you know, 15 minutes with all the kids lining the walls of the pool so they could be the first in. Never post again.

Yeah, Thrawn Trilogy is a great interpretation for a lot of characters. The would be great, I feel like while the last one was good there's a lot of room for improvment. I don't think they "disneyfied" star wars, at least not with any of these- Luke was an orphan. Anakin is pretty much an orphan. Many other major SW characters either lose their parents as kids (starkiller, boba, etc), never knew them (99% of the jedi), or are otherwise orphans (Han). There is a TON of violence in the sequels (and disney star wars as a whole TBH- on that topic George didn't want players being able to shoot anyone with a face in the games). I don't know where this one comes from- lots of people die, Kylo digs his saber into Finn's back and knocks him into a coma, etc. There aren't many questionable morals and that is a flaw, but this was a thing in star wars beforehand. This literally happens to both Anakin and Luke. -
Hey i said slightly realistic! (But yeah no this isn't happening unless the theme relaunches) Henchmen have always seemed like such a layup for this theme it's weird that they don't do it. You can use generic hat/hair/legs, re-use a head from a different theme, and use a generic-ish printed torso that just has the logo on it. Very low cost to add the figure, and it adds an element to these sets that's really been missing- the villains aren't really DOING much in these besides being chased by or fighting batman. When he's not with the league batman's generally not fighting people who's only goal is "destroy world/kill batman". I know, this is slightly more than the cost of ONE of the sets. It's crazy. I'm really tempted to get it, but I know there are some places where this and the star wars gift set are down to $25, so I'm crossing my fingers that hits my walmarts. Turtle was sent by the joker himself to keep the Aslume insane.

Yeah, those are excellent- I really wasn't going episode-by-episode, I just put MandoS2E7 where I did because I think Bill Burr somehow delivered the single most well-acted scene in the star wars universe in that episode. That's actually my issue- the throne room scene is so good because it's Luke coming to that realization- it's the moment where he truly becomes a jedi. I don't like that having some split-second visions decades down the line would cause him to turn on his unconscious nephew to the extent he activated his lightsaber and had it ready to kill him. If you're gonna bring Luke back down that path, I think it needs to be more than "he had a vision". I think it should take much more than that to get Luke to even momentarily regress to that point. I think the Thawn trilogy did an excellent job with post-ROTJ Luke- he doesn't have a no-kill rule, like he kills plenty of enemy soldiers, but he's very focused on helping people. He helps Mara at pretty much every turn even though she's a force-sensitive agent who repeatedly tells him from the moment they meet that loyalty to her boss is the only thing preventing her from snapping his neck then and there. That's a much better post-ROTJ Luke to me than "tries to kill his nephew after having a bad vision", especially when Luke learns his lesson about instinctively acting on bad visions in the original trilogy. I don't judge people for liking TLJ though- unlike some of the other more recent projects, I do think there was heart and a legitimate attempt behind a lot of TLJ, even if I'm still not happy with Rian over the stated "subverting expectations" thing. (This comment makes it come off like I do judge people for liking the "Content must flow" stuff, which... not really, but also I don't think I've met anyone who legitimately thinks Mando S3 was a great place to take the story) I hadn't even THOUGHT about the fact that TMAG will probably get it's own wave, but that's very exciting, thank you for bringing that up. George wanted to pull Talon out of her place in the timeline because he has a barely disguised... "interest" in twi'leks. Passion? Sure. Is it good for the story or franchise? no. Same with the ant-man stuff. I don't care if he's passionate about that, his sequel ideas are just as bad as the worst disney's done, if not worse. -

Ladies and Gentlemen, we got 'em. We've found Absolute Kallus Was Casterfo the senator Leia is friends with in the book where the senate finds out she's Vader's daughter? Yeah, honestly it's been about the same distribution of good/bad, it's just all more prevalent so the bad stuff is a lot more noticeable. I'd say I'd rank it more or less like this, excluding the books because there are just too many: Incredible: Andor, Rogue One, the Jedi games, S2E7 of Mando. Great Star Wars: Mando S1/S2, Ahsoka, Solo, TCWS7, late-game Rebels. Good: TBB, early Rebels, TFA. THE CONTENT MUST FLOW: TROS, Obi-Wan, TBOBF, Outlaws (special shoutout to if you get your hutt rep high enough Jabba is like "nooo Kay you're too cool I'm gonna come save you"), Mando S3. Acolyte: Acolyte Not meant for me and therefore unranked: YJA, Resistance. TLJ gets shouted out here because while overall it would probably go in "the content must flow", they were grasping at a kind of cool and deep concept with Luke and just dropped the ball on the execution to "The guy who throws his lightsaber aside because he won't kill his genocidal dad tries to kill his nephew because he MIGHT become evil" Thanks! It is, after all, a Mandalorian Knight. I need a time machine. He's spoken about what his trilogy would be, and while he's changed his mind from "they go ant-man to fight the midichlorians" to "slightly more coherent but George demolishes continuity so he can cast a particular twi'lek ", I think the one constant is it probably would have been worse than the sequels we got. I realize now none of this is very on-topic so I'll end by saying I think with the leak of stuff like the U-wing and Plo's fighter, 2024's 1HY is looking a lot better than previous years. I mantain lego should move to the following release system: Jan 1: 8-10 system sets May 4: all the 18+: a few each of dioramas, helmets, statues, and the may UCS. Aug 1: 8-10 system sets Oct 1: Fall UCS/MBS and 1-2 sets varying between a holiday set, "special" set like the anniversary one this year, and/or an expansion/fig filler for the UCS. -
Yeah unfortunately I don't think Gambit-Based leaker is real. I think Arkham's still not altogether unlikely, but more off of it just being an obvious set to make rather than any hard evidence it's in development. Welcome back, @legoturtle. I wouldn't be opposed to a new DC battle pack: Some options, trying to be at least slightly realistic: Joker Gang battle pack ($16.99 - this is going off the star wars pricing of $20 and the difference between their mechs and the DC mechs' pricing): The Joker/Joker Decoy (looks like a Joker minifigure, but the face is slightly off), 2x Joker Henchmen (have normal faces, lime jackets, purple pants), 1x Joker Gas Henchman (Wearing a neon green hazmat suit with an acid flower printed on the torso, wearing a gas mask with a clown design on it). Build is a forklift with canisters of Joker Gas on the prongs as well as an ATM. Batman and Green Lantern: War of Light ($16.99): Lantern Batman (The torso and legs could work for a normal green lantern, a chestplate with the bat-logo on the front and wings on the back is placed over them), Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Sinestro, Atrocitious (normal minifigure). All torsos/legs show none of the character's skin so they can be used to make other lanterns. I would do Batman Vs talons but they've already done that. Technically they did the GCPD one too, but I really think a small set with a GCPD car and an officer alongside batman and some sort of massable villain like a talon or henchman could work well.

I feel like it's the closest to the OT feel star wars has gotten since the OT set design wise. Thank you! I am trying not to start attempting to design this as a set since the figure for me to reference doesn't even release until February, but it would be pretty cool... They stopped it forever ago (Don't know exactly, I was a kid and wasn't into transformers at the time), like well over a decade. This upcoming figure is part of their "Transformers X (Brand)" series, which has recently had stuff like Naruto, Ninja Turtles, Knight Rider, Top Gun, etc) - Ok, I'll get back on topic now It's not a mech, it's a cybertronian! No one's piloting him! (But honestly, I don't mind the new X-wing mech, and if future star wars mechs act as more actual mechs based on the ships rather than "Larger version of character", I wouldn't be as annoyed by them.) this isn't something new to disney's ownership of the franchise. -

Honestly as 1HYs go this isn't as bad as the january leak suggested. Still waaaaay too heavy on the 18+ (Or just too scattered? If all the system ones were in January, it wouldn't be too dissimilar from what we used to get). Honestly, as dumb as it sounds, I do think all the 18+ sets would be easier to swallow if the 1HY system sets were all January, and the 18+ ones were all May. It creates a clearer expectation of what we're gonna get. But think back to the past few years, is three good system sets all that low for a 1HY? (Totally off topic but if you guys notice my new profile picture, they literally made a MandalorianKnight figure. It's a mandalorian. It's got a sword and shield. And it's a Cybertronian too!) -

They tried "Peace Machine", but it was just the same character with a pastel color scheme. Amazing title, but something feels familiar about it. The hierarchy of power in the Yellow Dumpster Cinematic Universe is about to change. It's a good looking building, and the figs are better than they appear in the leak (I don't think Iceman's figure is a good one, though. I've seen some really cool designs for the character where he looks like he's made of ice, this looks like a bald dude made out of milk.) -
Honestly this image looks weird to me. The lighting/framing makes it feel almost like Zooboomafo or something of that caliber rather than a movie. I don't think it'll actually impact the film- honestly I don't think this frame will even look this way in the film- the image just looks odd to me. I'll take more relatable superman for this one, but I didn't mind the imagery in the snyder stuff. I like the idea that superman ISN'T just a guy, If the Sentinal rumor is true, I will put "Gambit-based user" in my signature.
