UPDATE: Imperial Troop Transport Stormtrooper Corps Troop Transport ($39.99), 454 pieces "Stage a battle between the empire and rebellion with the stormtrooper corps troop transport! Fire the stud shooters on the rotating turret on the trooper transport, load the transport with the three troopers, and escort the transport with the scout trooper's speeder bike! This Star Wars set includes the Imperial Troop transport as seen in The Mandalorian. Included in the set are three Stormtroopers, a scout trooper, and two rebel troopers!" Thanks to @ARC2149Nova for the suggestion to make the ITT! I've seen a lot of good ITT mocs, but I noticed they all seem to be pretty big, so I tried to make one at a comparatively small scale. This is based off the vehicle in the mandalorian tv show, as opposed to the model seen in star wars rebels, which I was surprised to see is very different. I will say that the ITT doesn't look as good with the troopers removed from their side pods. For the interior, you can see the cockpit, some more space for troops, a weapon rack, and storage for a 4x3 container, here filled with 6 thermal detonators. The speeder bike is based roughly on the 2020 hoth speeder bike, with some changes made to the main body, foot pedals, cannon, and vanes. The figures were tough to choose, as I wanted to keep the 4/2 figure makeup of the 501st set, so the two rebel foot soldiers were easy to figure out, but it was tougher for the imperials. The ITT should be piloted by a combat driver per rebels, with an officer behind in the cab, but I also wanted to get a large amount of stormtroopers. I settled on three troopers and a scout for the speeder bike, since we don't actually see the ITT driver in the mandalorian. The rebels are based on the Sullust rebels from battlefront 2015, since Navarro has a similar climate. Edit: I think there's room for about 8-12 figure in the transport. 6 in the side pods, the pilot, and 2 more can fit comfortably in the interior. If you remove the cargo and pack them in more tightly, you could probably up it to 12. Once again, if you have any suggestions or comments, please let me know! I'm not exactly sure what else to build for this wave aside from a TIE bomber.

That's a very good-looking build, It's very smooth, I especially like the front "battering ram" part. Also, those little x-wings add to the scene well, I love thier inclusion. -

Just don't buy from them then, if you don't like how much they're selling them for. In this case, it costs more to get three troopers than it does to buy the set containing them and more figures and builds, so people will only buy from them if they're really impatient to ge their hands on those figures or want to buy them in such a large quantity that it's not feasible to get them from stores. (I guess he might actually get business in the latter case, if you're buying them in quantities that large you're probably missing some common sense ) That's good to hear. @jpipes7261 What store do you work at that you've already got the sets out in the US? -
I swear I meant to say the mankvim!

But then who would pilot the 12 luke's landspeeders included in the set? betrayal at cloud city was the same price and had 21 figures, so I think you're right in that it'll be around 20 for this one. -
Some of these makes sense, but others are super obscure, like in the background for only a few frames, such as the diamond class and C-9979. Edit: mankvim, not sure how i got that mixed up, the landing craft does have some shots in the foreground. I do agree we need a tri droid and crab droid though, as well as some of the republic ones. The UT-AT even got a prototype set! Crab droid could even be a battle pack build, depending on the size.

I thought the same at first, something was off with his head, but I agree with @starwarslotrluvva. Ponda Baba himself is just weird looking. Apparently the 501st battle pack is selling out in europe, that bodes well for getting more stuff like that in the future. -

Hey, same! Currently I'm thinking I'll get three packs and organize it by: 8 normal 501st troopers, 2 501st jet troopers, and then swap parts of the remaining 501st trooper, 501st jet trooper, and 2013 501st trooper to make two more clones and a squad leader to represent Appo. (Fun fact, Appo's arrow is a reference to Appa from Avatar, who is voiced by the same guy that voiced the clones). I agree about the cloth too, it gives them a nice officer look. Like you, I try to stay purist, but the cloth parts are super tough to get. What's stopping them from raising the price is what stops any company in a free market: consumers not buying them. Sure, we'll still buy them, at least most of us, but a $5 increase is a fair amount of money to most kids, and parent's probably wouldn't be too keen on it either. I agree with your second idea though, two normal packs in the winter and a larger summer one would be ideal. -

@Sabre-aN thanks for the detailed analysis! This confirms for me that I'll be picking up an AAT and 3 501st packs once they're available over here, same as you. I also like the idea of swapping out arms to differentiate squad leaders. I've got some ideas already on how I'll be customizing some of the troopers, especially with swapping my 2013 501st trooper into it. -

I agree. They're probably slowing down, but there's no way they'll get rid of the $15 battle pack. -

I mean, your opinion on the builds is subjective and it's never bad to get more droids, but even with all that aside, yes. 501st troopers sell for $20+ on bricklink all the time and now you can get four of them, two vehicles, and some droids for $30. Of course it's going to sell like crazy. -

Hello there! From what I remember from pasts posts of australians on this thread the last few years, australia's retailers have weird pricing and availability for sets. I'd try amazon or lego.com. The people who found it found it in the UK, where the sets released today. For us Americans we have a month to go before we can buy the sets. Or not, target.com lists them with an august 15th release date. -
Dude, we need this made! I can't see any issue with the set being too dark or anything (sure, he slaughters the separatist council, but nute was in a previous mustafar set and we got the whole "anakin with 3rd degree burns covering his body" figure multiple times.), and getting both padme's starship and the actual installation would be great! I like the new signature, by the way.

Galactic Civil War MOC wave: After my Siege of Mandalore MOC sets (I may come back to that one for a venator some time), I'm doing another wave based on something I always wanted from lego sets when I was younger: sets for the ground forces, grunts, unnamed men and women of the rebellion and empire! I aim to make this wave one of various rebel and imperial vehicles and builds for the conflict between the factions past just rebel starfighters and AT-STs. (The TIE bomber will be making an appearance though, as lego has effectively spit on the grave of the official set). As with my previous wave, all sets are made as if they were official sets, meaning they've got play features, figures, and the dreaded stud shooters. This was done because I prefer my MOCs to fit in with the official sets I collect, and because I'm not great at MOC making in general. Starting things off are some battle packs to get the foot soldiers of the rebellion and empire, as well as a set styled similar to the 501st legion set, giving the rebels a much-needed ground assault vehicle. Rebel Fleet Troopers Battle Pack ($14.99), 140 pieces: "Build the rebel speeder and fight for freedom with the LEGO Rebel Fleet Troopers battle pack! This action-packed Star Wars set includes a rebellion speeder with removable turret, three rebel fleet troopers, and Rebel Friend from the Lego Star Wars video game franchise." Man, was this a nostalgia trip for me! This was my favorite set as a kid, I must have 20 of the fleet troopers off bricklink alone! I modernized the model to fit lego's newer style, and changed the colors to make it the same color scheme as other rebel ground vehicles. Some other notable changes from the original set include slightly downsizing it to reflect lego's new style of more detail with smaller pieces and including fan-favorite character rebel friend with the classic megaphone blaster. Imperial Troops Battle Pack ($14.99), 140 pieces: "Build the turbolaser turret and help the empire fight for order with the Imperial Troops battle pack! This Star Wars set includes a rotating turbolaser turret with articulated cannons and control turret, along with two stormtroopers, a navy trooper and an imperial officer." Another fun build, I've always liked the idea of functional builds in battle packs instead of random vehicles, so the turbolaser was a natural fit. A full tower would have taken it over the price point, so I kept it at the turbolaser itself. Included are imperial troops in lego's somewhat annoying 2-1-1 layout, although we get stormtroopers so often I thought it would work here. The other figures are an Imperial officer (the black suit would in this case represent a stormtrooper officer, I believe), and a navy trooper. Rebel Legion X-34 Landspeeder ($34.99), 335 pieces: "Play out an epic conflict in the battle between the rebellion and the empire with the Rebel Legion X-34 Landspeeder set! Fire the flick-fire missiles and rotate the mounted gun on the rebel speeder, defend against the imperial attack with the P-tower turret, or fight for the empire with the stormtrooper's blasters! This Star Wars set includes four rebel fighters, including a Twi'lek and a Rodian alien, as well as two enemy stormtroopers." You probably recognize the speeder as luke's, and it's an interesting story how I ended up using this. The rebellion is never seen engaged in ground battles in the original star wars trilogy aside from hoth, where they only use T-47s and turrets. (the P-tower is included here as shown in the first image, based off a design I previously made to go alongside an old rebel tank MOC.) More ground battles are fought in Rogue one and Rebels, but again no ground vehicles are used. This led me to look to other sources, such as Battlefront 2 and the tabletop game Star Wars: legion. In these, a version of luke's landspeeder with a mounted gun is playable. I thought it looked pretty cool and made sense that the rebels would weaponize civilian craft in their fight, just as they did with their snowspeeders. In fact, the battlefront speeder's paint job implies that it used to be luke's speeder. I tried to make this set different from the official luke's landspeeders while still maintaining accuracy, and I believe it turned out quite well. The paint job is influenced by what colors some parts were available in as well as custom paint jobs players made for the tabletop game's speeder. The figures are also influenced by that game, with a rocket-launcher toting Twi'lek and Rodian sniper among the rebels. It's priced higher than the 501st pack due to a slightly increased part count and the battle droid being replaced with full minifigures. That's all for now, to follow will be an imperial set in the style of the 501st, a TIE bomber, and of course more ground vehicles for the empire and rebellion. If you have any suggestions or ideas, I'd love it if you commented with them! (Especially if it's something canon I can do for the imperial 501st style set, I have no clue what's small enough to fit there besides a Z-74 speeder bike)

It is kind of weird they have jar jar but not anakin. Might be something about not wanting multiple versions of the same character or something. As for Padme, lego is notorious for a lack of padme. We've had what, 3 padme figures in the last decade? I'm debating staying up all night monitoring lego.com in the case your fever dream is real. I'm not missing out on this set! -

I got pretty excited before seeing that these were all in the UK. For any Americans, you can pre-order the IT-S for some reason, but none of the other sets. -
I think @Ashnflash drew up something similar, I believe it was sequel, Clone Wars, and mandalorian characters in the classic style. Kenner style figures would be amazing though. I wonder if the cantina set will have some of the classic kenner ones styled like the original figures. They'd make good polybags too. Or better yet, let's have the next may the fourth be luke or vader based on mcquarrie's concept art, the one where luke has a yellow lightsaber and a mask and vader has a blue sabar.
-
Does he look like he's not wearing pants, too? Those kenner figures were great, I love the greedo that's wearing a green suit for some reason.
-
I know these are jokes, but I'd buy all of them! Aside from being desperate to get anything for the invisible hand, a UCS cantomo would not only be hilarious but actually make sense considering it's presence in the mandalorian. And I've always liked the balasor species, so an army of elan sleazebaggo's would be pretty fun. A prequel fleet-based wave: Microfighters: Anakin's Interceptor ($9.99): Anakin (ep3), r2-d2 (head only) Tri-fighter ($9.99): battle droid Venator versus separatist dreadnaught ($19.99): Obi-wan, Grievous Battle packs: Clone naval forces($14.99): Clone wars P2 clone pilot (x2), clone shiny (x1), Clone naval officer (x1). Build is a gunnery station on the venator Separatist navy droids ($14.99): rocket b2 (x2), b1 pilot (x2), buzz droid. Build is a CIS turret. Full sets: V-wing starfighter ($24.99): V-wing with clone pilot, clone trooper, battle droid, and buzz droid. Vulture droid attack ($39.99): 2x smaller vulture droids, 2 b1 battle droids, droidika, Clone trooper, and Obi-wan. Duel on the Invisible hand ($49.99): Like a smaller final duel or snoke's throne room. Build is the balcony with the dual staircases, and a small segment of floor leading to palpatine's throne/chair. There's a collapsible balcony function and it comes with Dooku, Obi-wan, anakin, Palpatine, and 2 b2 battle droids. ARC-170 starfighter ($89.99): ARC-170 with Captain Jag, Odd Ball, clone pilot, an R2 unit, Anakin, and 2 magnaguards. Venator star destroyer ($139.99): Venator similar to 2014 star destroyer with interior bridge, armory, command table, and gunnery stations. Comes with Yularen, Anakin (S7 of clone wars), Ahsoka (S7), 2 clone officers, 2 501st troopers and Commander Rex. Separatist Dreadnaught ($159.99): Providence-class dreadnaught with interior bridge, hallway, and hanger with mini jedi starfighter and some mini vulture droids that can attach to the hull. Comes with Grievous, Dooku. Wat Tambor, Nute Gunrey, 2 b1 pilots, 2 b1 security, and 2 magnaguards.

I think it's alluding the rocket launcher thing to the organ instrument. So "palpatine's organs" are rocket launchers, because that's pretty much palpatine for you. Very impressive MOC, I might have to mod my hovertank to fit this. As with your medical corps MOCs, the story you add is just as good as the MOCs themselves. I love the idea that the tanks were phased out for AT-ATs, adding more lore to why they don't show up in the OT (besides of course not having existed in real life before rogue one). I'd love to see that Ammo Carrier someday!
-
That's a great motti, I'll have to use that. As for Tagge, I think this head might work pretty well too as there's no stubble (I used to think that guy was supposed to be tagge, but the rank bars are off.), but that's a good one too.

-Dexter Jettser, 22 BBY You called it! I hope we get garidan and some of the classic kenner ones like hammerhead (ithorian), snaggletooth, etc.
