Maybe a bit less then that, but yeah, you'd earn a lot. The problem is twofold: It takes time and effort, and that you have no guarantee of it selling. This is why most people don't do this. If you're going to spend about as much time on this to have the CHANCE to earn about as much as you would just working for an hour or so, than why not just do the work? I'm actually a bricklink seller, and I don't part out big sets for this reason. If I'm going to spend $350 on something to earn, say, $50 more than what I spent, and there's no guarantee it'll sell at all, in that case just leaving me $350 in the hole, then why take the risk? I only part stuff out if I'm planning to keep some of it (ex: buying the ahsoka tank, and then selling the trooper and ahsoka for about $38, ending with me essentially getting the tank and pilots for $2.)

Honestly it's possible you could make almost the entire cost of the second copy back by selling the figures and dewback of the second one, maybe the speeders too.

Welp, if you're looking for transparent lego solutions, there isn't much. The one in the image isn't lego, of course, the only lego solution I can think of that's remotly transparent is using transparent lifarms, but that of course means you'll have some grey or black pins visible.

[MOC] Umbaran Starfighter minifigure scale
Mandalorianknight replied to Cylo's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Watch the arc again, it's great! This model is amazing. It feels almost like a UCS ship, I love it. Honestly I didn't think it was possible to make this in lego with any real accuracy, clearly I was wrong! One minor thing, I think they're supposed to be more of a brown or nougat color with yellow markings.- 20 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Strongly seconded. You can recoup about $15 by selling the ahsoka, and if you sell the 332nd trooper too (which is what I did, I only wanted one, they're to specific of a unit for me to want to mass) you can recoup a minimum of about $38. So $2 total for a tank with it's two drivers isn't too bad! I'll probably get more once they're easier to find. So...phantom menace sets or the airspeeder chase? Clones are one of the most popular character designs with kids and (if this forum is any indication) adults alike, if they can put a clone in a set they will. -
I would add that obi-wan's hut could be helpful if you're trying to add some more builds, too. If not, i'd definitely go with the rebel and tatooine battle packs.

Upon some google research, it's just a really popular fan design. it seems like people have made fan art and custom action figures for it. Bacara and rex look great, we really need another rex in lego form, it's been so long!

We don't even know for sure she's in the series... at this point all I'm hoping for from that set is the season 2 variant of mando. -
No. The other one is a review of the cantina, and this is, I believe, meant to be a long complaint about the price that morphed into someone arguing about the disney castle being better or something. (Clearly, it is not, the cantina is the best!)

Unpopular Opinions related to Lego Star Wars
Mandalorianknight replied to TheAbsoluteSt81's topic in LEGO Star Wars
They can't, or at least couldn't. Hasbro had the exclusive rights to sell action figures, and minifigures somehow counted, so the battle pack sets are the closest lego can get. Rumor is, since hasbro changed their agreement with disney, they may now be able too. Yup. 2021 wave is going to be amazing for kids, with the ability to get the two most iconic star wars vehicles for half their normal price.- 127 replies

I think you may have failed to pick up on the pattern there... imperial shuttle is not a sequel-era ground vehicle or base

No kidding. If it's this bad 1-2 months after it's been released, imagine how bad it'll be a few months after it retires. There's even a 7 week wait for replacement parts. I'm planning to buy a few copies once all this calms down a bit, maybe it'll pay for my college education. Not if I get there first! Seriously though, they need to make more of these sets. what's the good of an army builder if you only end up with 3 troopers and a jet trooper? They're staging a raid, the cantina has 18 galactic health code violations. -
Sequel ground war wave: this'll be a toughie, as the resistance has pretty much only the ski speeder in terms of ground vehicles. Microfighters: Poe's ski speeder ($9.99): Poe First order AT-AT ($9.99): First order AT-M6 driver First order AT-ST vs bb-8's at-st ($19.99): Phasma, BB-8, and Disguised finn. Battle packs: Resistance battle pack ($14.99): 2x resistance trooper (tan shirt with the dark brown straps over it, helmet), Ovissian gunner, Resistance officer. Build is some terrain with a P-tower First order battle pack ($14.99): 2x first order stormtrooper, first order snowtrooper, first order jet trooper. Build is a first order banner and speeder bike Other sets: Resistance forces ($29.99): df.12 com turret, speeder bike and a bit of ajan kloss terrain. Comes with 2x resistance trooper, a caphex spy, resistence rocket trooper, bb-9e and a first order stormtrooper. Ski Speeder ($39.99): Ski speeder with Finn, Rey, an abenado technician, and a first order stormtrooper. First order AT-ST ($49.99): First order AT-ST (with it's head this time), with a first order at-st pilot (whatever they look like), executioner stormtrooper, DJ and rose (disguise) Starkiller base attack ($79.99): First order LIUV and some terrain/platform with a turret. Comes with 2x first order snowtrooper, first order officer, first order snowtrooper commander, han (old), Rey (scavenger), and chewbacca. First order AT-AT ($139.99): FIrst order AT-AT (NOT AT-M6, they are two very different vehicles) with kylo ren, hux, 2x first order walker driver, 2x first order snowtrooper, first order stormtrooper, Poe, a resistance heavy trooper, Seargent "salty" sharp (I kid you not, that's his canonical name), and force illusion luke.

Everything with the site seems to be really weird right now. I know I bought three when it first came out, and they didn't cancel my order. Then there's the whole thing with yoda's lightsaber, and of course covid must be causing some of this. -

I feel like the "luke and R2" thing was more so guessing or a silhouette that turns out to be wrong, I highly doubt we'd have 2 figures in a $50 set, anyway. -
Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Mandalorianknight replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
In one of my copies of the 501st battle pack, a clone trooper's helmet is misprinted where the "mouth" part is at the very bottom of the helmet, making the trooper look very odd and out of place. I filed a request with lego customer service, but it seems like it will take up to 7 weeks to ship. Is it better for me to call them, or do I really have to wait 7 weeks before they'll send me a replacement for their misprinted part? -

The fact that the scout trooper helmet is $20 cheaper than the others makes me strongly believe it will have the flip-top helmet, and that when flipping it open it'll be hollow, hence the lower price. This, if true, implies that they would be able to produce other helmets where the face would be visible. they might still have difficulty with the transparent visor, but they could put trans tiles over yellow plates as the support. Speaking of the rebel pilot helmet, it'd be great if they made that and it came with extra parts/stickers to swap out to get different pilot designs. It might take some ingenuity to get royal guard's helmet, but I think they could do it. The snowtrooper could be a problem if they try to use cloth or something. -

MAGIC PAINT! . Jokes aside, their canonical skin tone is the chalk-white, and the markings are tattoos. This means that character isn't a nightsister, but she could be from one of the other witch clans. That is interesting, although he must have tweaked it as there are a fair amount of parts that were released in the last few years. She's very ambiguous in terms of ethnicity (I kinda thought she was hispanic as well), but looking at her family, her brother and mother are both clearly of asian descent (I guess, mandalorian descent but you know what I mean). I personally don't think it matters either way, as I agree with your statement that with animation you've got more leeway to change for live adaptations. I regret bringing this topic up, although I guess someone would have mentioned it. Either way, since we're only getting one set for it, don't even know if she's in it, and if that is her, it's not in the costume we all want, anyway, so it's not really too related to this topic anymore. -

If you're looking for female villains in star wars, the inquisitorius has you covered. Second sister especially is a great villain in that game, which isn't live action so to speak but the voice actors did mocap for their characters, so they all look exactly like them, and it's pretty dang realistic graphics. Such a shame we seemingly won't ever get sets for it... buuuuuut....the clone wars anthology book had a short story at the end about other races of dathomirian witches, not all of whom looked like nightsisters, and that short story was exempt from early release copies, which is pretty darn suspicious. To try to get back on topic, the cantina certainly seems to be selling well. That's good, it's a great set. -

It's certainly an odd choice for a GWP. The only thing I can think is that they wanted to test a lightsaber build, but at the part count/price allotted the most they could do is something the size of yoda's saber. -
I could see them doing something in 2021 2hy/ 2022 1hy if the cantina sells well, maybe another tatooine building and/or a ronto with elies helrot (who could just use a printed minifigure head), a gotal (molded head), duros (maybe with egghead's head attachment in blue?), and either muftak or boshek.

And it's great for kids, too. They can get an x-wing and a TIE for the cost of last year's x-wing. You may be on to something. The last wave was based on ESB, maybe they're going by film order and just started with esb for the anniversary. As for the gunship, I doubt they'd make it at only $200, I'd expect it to be the 2HY UCS. These definitely do sound more like scale-downs than 4+ type sets, which has me excited. I already have these three ships, but if they do pull it off where they still look good I almost hope this becomes the norm, when x-wings get to $90, something's gone wrong. As for the shuttle, commandos are pretty cheap on bricklink, but biker scouts with the new helmet are definitely not... "Fake news!" Those set numbers are taken. That might be a good thing, another battle pack price hike would be seriously annoying. And when it comes to the battle packs.... "always two there are, no more, no less" -

I love that there's a bona fide boat in the mandalorian. It just fits the aesthetic of the mandalorian, kinda, the sort of grungy, lived-in feel. I'll take the saurin and ithorian! I admit, I plan to purchase some more copies of the 501st to keep sealed, but I'm not going to do that until it's easily available, so as not to ruin some poor kid's day, and I'm only planning to sell them once the set retires. If you're on a computer, there should be an eye icon next to the one for the emojis/lego heads. Clicking that creates a hidden tab.
