  1. See below for padme's ship, but yeah, apparently there were a lot in the clone wars game. I only ever played the saga games and the free levels of force awakens, so I didn't realize they'd updated that. Yeah, I was watching a no way home trailer breakdown while writing this and it really didn't turn out right. my point was more so that you can usually tell which lego models are realistic, and which are not things that would be released as sets. In this case, the color is off, and the ship is gargantuan.
  2. Yeah, but at this point something's gone horribly wrong. It's been delayed 1.5 years, which is akin to if a studio ceased all work when covid panic struck...and then proceeded to make zero progress until today. There's definately some serious problems going on behind the scenes... It really is, open world looks amazing. If it's a character, yeah. No chance. For builds, fully lego builds that look possible in real life are pretty rare in the LSW games as far as I remember. Like in the old ones padme's ship (which didn't have a lego model) wasn't lego-ized.
  3. Hall of justice practically begs for a set. Iconic exterior and interior, room for plenty of easter eggs, and can fit plenty of both major characters and minor ones we haven't gotten before. Lego's "it's too much for the kiddos!" thing isn't their actual rationale. For instance, they say fallen order is too mature, but...rogue one? revenge of the sith? The force unleashed and both battlefronts? Even with harry potter...we got sets for THE DARK KNIGHT, pirates of the Caribbean, etc... my point is I think it's just their go-to excuse when they won't or can't say the real reason.
  4. Long have I waited... Amazing trailer. Peter truly is living on the edge...
  5. The venator looks closer to OT stuff than it does to any TPM ship, though. It's more or less an older star destroyer, as opposed to the much more rounded designs of the LAAT, Vulture droid, Lucrehulk, Naboo Starfighter, etc. (also interesting to note that most of the more rounded designs are from TPM, whereas most republic designs are deliberate callbacks to the style of the empire). Anyway, not to minimod but I'm pretty sure that literally none of this conversation is on-topic, better suited to the general lego star wars questions thread, and the only reason the mods haven't come down to smite us is because there's nothing happening right now in regards to LSW, so we might want to mosey on before they warn us to.
  6. The problem is that while the prequels as a whole are more well-liked nowadays, it's mainly focused on the clone wars themselves, and as a result I think most people really just want geonosis, locations later seen in clone wars like kamino and the jedi temple, or revenge of the sith stuff. The Force Awakens wishlist: Microfighters: Rey's speeder ($9.99): Rey (hood) First Order Troop Transport ($9.99): Captain Phasma Poe's X-wing vs special forces TIE ($19.99): Poe Dameron (pilot) and a special forces TIE pilot Battle Packs: Takodana Patrons ($14.99): Crimson Corsiar, Resistance droid, human patron with mullet and bandoliar, Hassk Thug. Builds are the red droid Finn brushes past, a cantina table with seats, and a small bit of wall with some banners. First Order troops ($14.99): 2x first order stormtroopers, 1x first order heavy, 1x first order flametrooper. Build is a small bit of starkiller base with a small turret and a banner. System sets: Niima Outpost ($29.99): Rey's speeder (Smaller than 2015 model, but not chibi like a microfighter), along with the outpost gate and a small stand for unkar plutt. Comes with Han, Chewie, 2x first order snowtroopers, and a first order technician. First Order TIE fighter ($59.99): First Order TIE fighter (between 2021 and 2018 ties in terms of scale) with a first order tie pilot, Kylo ren, general hux, and a first order stormtrooper. 7. I think the conventional meaning of a purist custom is that you use only official, unaltered lego figure parts (so no custom prints or paper kamas). For example Official figure: P2 rex (2013) Purist custom: p2 rex helmet with the new clone head, the plastic pauldron part, and 501st trooper torso/legs with the black kama. Full custom: p2 rex helmet with an antenne hole drilled into it, a custom pauldron and cape, and/or a custom decal for the torso. Now I want to clarify it doesn't mean custom parts, decals, or prints are bad, they just aren't "purist".
  8. With toys r us back in 2022, do you think that we'll see the return of toys r us exclusives?
  9. Completely agree. The scene begs for a location set around $30-40, but an MBS set is definately not needed. OT CMF: 1. Captain Antilles: medium blaster and death star plans printed tile 2. Sandtrooper enlisted rank (black pauldron): rifle and brick-built security droid 3. snaggletooth (Red): blaster pistol and bottle 4. Stormtrooper Han (garbage sludge printing on armor): medium blaster and spare helmet 5. Jek Porkins: blaster pistol and astromech droid. (Look at the marvel CMF, this sort of thing can happen) 6. Hoth Leia: medium blaster 7. Admiral Ozzel: blaster pistol, spare head with a choking face. (The imperial officer cap doesn't allow for double-sided heads) 8. Bespin Chewbacca (new mold with studs on the back allowing for a small net and c-3o's head): medium blaster 9. Lobot: blaster pistol, 1x2x5 brick with carbonite han print 10. Bossk: grenade launcher, IG-88's head 11. Disguised lando: comes with hair and helmet options, as well as a pike. 12. jedi master luke: has leg printing (most figures on the list would but since that'd be a first for ROTJ luke I thought i'd mention it), comes with the new hood, a cape, and his lightsaber. 13. Nicki: ewok staff, clear part from the DC CMF to pull off his incredible cartwheel. 14. Scout trooper: Super-detailed scout trooper with dual molded and printed arms and legs, as well as a new helmet that flips open akin to the old iron man ones. Comes with a blaster pistol. 15. Jabba's guard: Ishi-tib guard with a new head mold, a spear, and a medium blaster. 16. special edition force ghost obi-wan. Made from trans light blue parts with white printing.
  10. How'd you get six? So far I've got 5: two in the cockpit, two in the hold unmodded (just in their normal seats), and a third in the hold if I remove that opening compartment.
  11. They've been in it for a long time, the stores are just so big that it's hard to find the legos! They usually have good discounts right off the bat, and they even used to have exclusive bulk lots (I think just bionicle and basic system parts, not star wars specifically).
  12. They really should bring that back, the alternate models on the back of the box are quintessential lego, like combo models are for bionicle. Great build, it's impressive you've made not only the havoc marauder but now slave one as well. Coloration is an issue, but that's kind of baked into the cake with alternate models, it's not like there was anything you could have done to change that.
  13. So if you look at the two-to-three characters that won't have their actors return, Mythrol makes the most sense to return as a character. Not to get too into Cara as that's controversial, but you can (and I certainly have) make an argument that she didn't deserve to be fired, and so due to the backlash, I don't think we'll see another actress as Cara, I think they'll just say she went off to join the new republic. Mayfield got canceled too, though disney never put out a statement so I don't think he was gonna come back anyway. But with Mythrol, you can't make an argument that he should come back to mando (I mean, if it's true he should be in jail), so there's not really backlash. Add to that the heavy amount of makeup and prosthetics, and the fact that Mythrol ended up getting tied pretty hard to Greef storywise, I think we'll most likely just see another dude behind the blue fins. Which means a Mythrol figure is on the table, too. To me, just to get all the main cast (except omega) and the main ship, it's worth it. On a price-per-part, it's worth it. In terms of value of stuff... the shuttle's kind of small. I'm happy getting it at full price, but if you're on the fence at this point, I'd say wait for a discount.
  14. If you can sell the 2015 falcon for enough that the 2019 one isn't that much more expensive, I'd do it. The 2015 one is pretty gappy, and the 2019 one not only fixes that, but uses a new part to get accurate mandibles, and needs minimal modding to be OT. Ofc, if you want OT figures, just wait a year or so. The January set list is chilling in a vault somewhere with the no way home trailer and the Mandalorian season 3 shooting schedule. To get to it, you have to defeat mickey mouse, george lucas, and kevin feige in unarmed combat. Yeah, it'll most likely be the largest non-d2c of 2022.
  15. What you need to do is build two seperate heads, one sand green and one olive, then display each variant of the figure underneath, with a giant bossk mosiac up top. Maybe put some chewbacca heads lying on the floor below the display, they're pretty common. Also you're the bossk player in battlefront two, huh? I can't tell you how many times I've waltzed into a command post and been oneshotted from the other side of the map, or blown to hell by those proximity mines. Oh no, I could totally see a $40 boba fett's throne being sold as such, I'm saying if it was the size of like the mandalore throne, I'd still buy it for $40. Agh, the B-wing. I try to do just 5 system sets that aren't a gimmick (so non-battle packs, 18+, duels, etc), but ROTJ has had so few sets that there were too many options. I think I had the same problem with my ROTS list, where with TPM and ANH I had trouble filling those 5 slots. Karabast, I forgot boushh. I already did a rebel pilot helmet (I think two actually) in the preceding wishlists, so I thought I'd leave one off this time.
  16. Yeah, sorry, I should have been more specific. I didn't mean they were re-using the print, just that the same sort of print already existed. (I didn't remember it was the arkenstone though, that explains why it's in my "rare parts" collection despite being literally just a chima chi part with that tile on top) Hmm...I feel like that would look surprisingly good there. Weirdly, the color options (or lack thereof) might be the biggest problem in terms of the look. Although I'm very glad that was a print on the cockpit, if it was a sticker I'd never have aligned it right.
  17. This could be the size of a $20 set, charge for $40, and I'd still buy it in an instant. That image of boba on the throne with fennec taking a swig of "spotchka" while laying on the arm DEMANDS an official set. I can't tell if this is meant to be a joke or not, but yeah, I would 100% purchase that bossk head. The scorekeeper would be pleased. Alright, ROTJ time. This film gets snubbed in terms of sets, it feels like we only ever get the final duel, desert skiff, and imperial shuttle. Microfighters: A-wing ($9.99): A-wing pilot Imperial Shuttle ($9.99): Imperial shuttle pilot Desert Skiff vs sail barge ($19.99): Han Solo and Bib Fortuna. Comes with a sarlacc minibuild as well, sort of like the turret and bomb holder in the TLJ dual-packs. Battle packs: Endor Commandos ($14.99): 1x endor commando (green trenchcoat), 1x endor commando (tan vest), 1x tan ewok with brown hood, 1x black ewok with olive hood. Build is an ewok glider and catapult. Imperial Bunker defenders ($14.99): 2x stormtrooper, 1x scout trooper, 1x navy trooper. Build is a speeder bike and a small bit of endor bunker exterior. Duel: Final Duel ($19.99): Emperor's throne on an elevated platform with a reactor shaft to one side. Comes with Luke, Vader, and the Emperor. System sets: Speeder Bikes ($29.99): 2x speeder bikes and a tree build. Comes with 1x scout trooper, Endor Luke, Endor Leia, and Wicket. Jabba's gate ($49.99): A couple modular rooms that can be added to Jabba's palace. Namely, the gate, a prision cell, and a guard post with jukebox (like in the LSWTCS game), that can be placed on top of each other to make a tower or connected adjacently with pins. Comes with Bib Fortuna, a Gamorrean guard, Chewbacca (printed chain on torso), and Leia (boushh). AT-ST ambush ($79.99): AT-ST build similar to the 2016 model, but with room for two pilots. Also included are two tall trees with a log smash function to smash the AT-ST between them. Comes with 2x AT-ST pilots, 1x scout trooper, 1x chewbacca, 1x logray, 1x paploo, and 1x baby ewok. Death star dogfight ($99.99): TIE interceptor (similar size and style to 2018 tie fighter), and A-wing (smaller than 2017 model). Comes with an A-wing pilot, TIE pilot, Moff Jerjerrod, 1x stormtrooper, 1x endor rebel trooper, endor han, and emperor palpatine. Jabba's Palace ($149.99): Jabba's throne room and rancor pit (throne room is held up by technic pylons to keep it stable, and the rancor pit has a brick-built rancor) as well as a guard tower on the side with the droid torture room, max rebo's instrument, and a guard post inside. Comes with Jabba the Hutt, Huttslayer Leia, Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, Carbonite Han, 2x gamorrean guard, EV-9D9, and a GNK droid. 18+ set: Victory Celebration ($59.99): Endor terrain and funeral pyre with a tree having some of the village above. Comes with Vader ('s body at least), Luke, and special edition force ghost yoda, obi-wan, and anakin. UCS/MBS: UCS endor bunker ($399.99): Massive endor bunker with interior reactor, armory, and command center. There is a large tree on either side containing bits of an ewok village at the top. Comes with 2x imperial navy trooper, 2x imperial officer, 3x scout trooper, 2x stormtrooper, endor leia, endor han, chewbacca, endor rex, 1x endor rebel trooper, c-3po, r2-d2, chief chirpa, teebo, 2x ewok soldiers (dark tan with dark green hood and brown with tan hood). Helmets: Scout trooper ($59.99): Updated design that can actually flip open Boba Fett ($59.99): Updated, more scarred design that. Royal Guard ($59.99)
  18. That's the best AT-ST they've ever made, it's a great set! The bb shuttle is a great set, but you're right, it begs to be modded so the full crew can fit. Currently I've got mine able to fit 5 figures (so the core batch plus either crosshair or omega), but I'm trying to find a way to get Gonky in there. I think Omega wasn't included because Lego didn't know about her yet, I think she didn't show up until nearly a month before the show premiered. Which is weird, since they did market her towards the end, it's not like she was a twist or something. Some recommendations for other OT sets: Aforementioned AT-ST 2016: Great model of an iconic vehicle, not too expensive, has some army-building figures. Imperial Assault Hovertank 2016: Not as iconic of a vehicle, but it's one of my all-time favorite OT sets. It might be more expensive nowadays, but the original $30 price tag was amazing too. Rebel Scout speeder 2008: My all-time favorite battle pack, and a great and cheap army builder for rebel troops. Imperial Troop Transport 2015: Another great battle pack for building up stormtroopers with a good level of detail (though some don't like the helmet print) The 2014 snowspeeder, 2017 landspeeder, and some other sets are also standouts.
  19. Since everyone was talking about them I looked up the cruiser TIEs... yeah they're cool I guess. I like the little windscreen, but that's definately existed before (I want to say I got one in a hobbit set of all things). Dank Ferrick, where's that set list? It's been awhile since the other themes leaked, at this rate we wont know what sets are coming until the images leak in late november...this is the spider-man trailer all over again.
  20. Black Arms, DBG hands, DBG hips, and TIE pilot legs. Meh, It's the wrong color, but I see how it could work. It does have the back string, which my bow is unfortunately missing.
  21. I agree, the sand blue is a godsend for that set, it makes it look so much more interesting on a shelf alongside all the grey and white ships.
  22. Empire Strikes Back list: Microfighters: Snowspeeder ($9.99): Pilot Luke Slave 1 ($9.99): Boba Fett Millenium Falcon vs TIE bomber ($19.99): Han solo (black jacket), TIE pilot Battle Packs: Blizzard force ($14.99): 3x snowtrooper, 1x imperial officer in combat gear (colonel Starck). Build is a probe droid and speeder bike. Echo Base Defenders ($14.99): 2x rebel trooper (white jackets), 1x hoth rebel scout (different torso print), 1x rebel officer (dark tan vest). Build is a small trench with a P-tower. Duel: Duel on cloud city ($19.99): Carbonite freeze chamber build with Luke and Vader. System sets: Shield Generator Attack ($39.99): Large Shield Generator, a brick-built tauntaun, and an E-web. Comes with Hoth Han Solo, Snowy Chewbacca, and two snowtroopers. Ion Cannon Defense ($59.99): Ion Cannon build, probe droid, and a snowspeeder with Dak Ratler, Wedge Antilles, General Riekan, a hoth rebel officer, and a snowtrooper commander. Echo Base ($89.99): Huge Echo Base gates with interior medical chamber and command center, as well as a bit of trench with a DF-9. Comes with Hoth Leia, Hoth Luke, R-3PO, a hoth rebel officer, Toyan Farr, Darth Vader, and two snowtroopers. Dagobah Training ($99.99): Luke's Dagobah X-wing (size between 2018 and 2021 models) with some extra parts for foliage, as well as yoda's hut and a training area with some trees and a function to "lift" rocks. Comes with Luke (pilot), Luke (training), Yoda, and R2-D2 (muddy). Slave One ($149.99): Huge system Slave One with a cargo hold that can fit up to 4 figures, as well as a cockpit for Boba. Comes with Boba, a stormtrooper, a bespin Wing Guard, Lobot, Lando, Bespin Escape Leia, a Carbonite block for Han, and Carbonite-sickness Han. 18+ set: Dark Side Cave Encounter ($39.99): Build of the Dark Side Cave on Dagobah with Luke, and a special darth vader with mist printing, a spare helmet that's a new "damaged" mold, and luke's head underneath. UCS/MBS: UCS Super Star Destroyer ($799.99): Massive Super Star destroyer with a to-scale star destroyer. Comes with Admiral Piett (new face, dual-molded boots) and Darth Vader (side leg printing). Helmets: Snowtrooper ($59.99) AT-AT pilot ($59.99) Bossk ($59.99): Bossk's head.
  23. They're pretty nice about these, I've gotten a 501st helmet and a TIE striker helmet replaced for free. (The striker helmet was printed on the side of the helmet instead of the front, and the 501st trooper had a reportedly common issue where the printing was too low, so the "mouth" was on the lower part and the respirator printing was absent.
  24. Try being a bionicle fan, with the red axles and blue pins massacring nearly every figure's color scheme. They do it to make it easier for kids to see for the most part (hence why "odd" axles are grey and "even" length ones are black, why pins are black/grey depending on friction, half pin/axles are blue/tan depending on friction, and short axles are red.). You're referring to the actual technic bricks and plates, aren't you... yeah those are annoying especially since many already exist in black. Dec 2022 would be 1.5 years, which is normal.
