DC Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Mandalorianknight replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Alright, I need some advice. Back when the snyder cut came out, I asked which batmobile was the best, and ultimately ended up not getting any. Now I want to get either the tumbler or Pattmobile and I can't really decide. Pattmobile pros: Cheaper, my favorite batmobile in-universe. Cons: looks a bit simple, the batman figure isn't a good representation of the suit. Tumbler pros: Less likely to be remade anytime soon, very accurate model of the vehicle. Tumbler cons: more expensive, more of a tank than batmobile. If anyone has a suggestion as to which one I should get, please let me know. -

Or the fact that 25% of the film takes place in a I think the Nolan films are still far superior to this one in terms of what it means to be the batman, and have a somewhat better plot, but that doesn't mean I didn't like the movie a ton. I think this is the best batman in terms of the suit, gadgets, and by god that car (I won't lie I clapped when the car was introduced, no one else was clapping it was really embarrassing). I don't own a single batman set, but I think I'm gonna have to pick up the 2022 batmobile, and then I might have to get the smaller tumbler for the Nolan films. -

Seems to be from the guys who leaked the muppets, so I guess it's legit. Very surprising. -
Thanks! You're totally right, I forgot about that one. I think there was also a ghost with chopper and oddly enough, jek-14's interceptor with jek-14. Looking this up I found that the figure is super expensive, which is confusing as he's not in canon or legends. Thank you! The microfighters were a lot of fun to make, I'm glad you like them. The B-wing is tiled on the bottom wing to the same extent as the top wing-antistuds show on the 3x12 wedges, but not much over the rest of that wing. I agree that we totally need a yavin set eventually, the closest we've gotten is about 6 pieces as a side build in a juniors set. Thank you! Yeah, it's something that'd be much harder to do on stud.io, which has some issues with which curves and hinge angles are possible in reality. The crab droid was I think the first one I did, and one of my favorites. The A-wing is definately a weaker one, I think the wings are too thick. Hope you got some money back for that bricklink thing, that sucks.

I think a high quality resin printer might be the culprit. A quick google shows you can make some very high-quality looking items both in terms of tolerances and coloration. (not my image, just one off the google search) I'm about 90% confident he's using one of these to make these "leaks". -

What really confuses me is that the force ghost shell came AFTER the kaminoan leak. So it's not like he had one true leak and is now just BSing, it's that he started with a (probably) fake leak, got a real one, and continued to do (probably) fake leaks until he accidentally did one Promobricks knew was bs. -
Thank both of you so much, it's great to see people like these. It really does mean a lot to me to know other people think these are good. Thank you! The AT-TE was by far the toughest one I've done, I'm glad to hear you liked it. Thank you! The B-wing was a lot of fun, but it's got some stability issues now that I've physically built it, so I'm working on a v2. The A-wing seems to be a hit, I honestly wasn't expecting that!

Looking at his instagram, it settles it for me that this guy is absolutely fake, and consequently his kaminoan and force ghost leaks are also fake. The fact that he has a ton of non-leak and joke leak posts is fine, sure, but the fact that he was also the "luke's landspeeder will use the space dome part" guy and got called out by none other than promobricks on it makes me 100% certain he's a faker. He's one of those dumb fake leakers/trolls/whatever, the only difference is that he put a bit more effort into it. -

That's a nice face print, hope it shows up in other sets. Going to buy a dark trooper set after work if they haven't run out of stock yet. -
WISHLIST MOC WAVE! After an unacceptably long amount of time due to college applications, school, and my love of procrastination, the wishlist moc wave is here! Created in the future star wars sets thread with the aid of members such as @Brickroll, @Per_SW, @PRbrickbuilder, @Redroe, and @Agent Kallus (sorry I wasn't able to get an Umbaran starfighter completed), this wave was made over the course of 4 months and had some of the most challenging, but also rewarding, models I've ever designed. I think I've bought the parts for more of these than any other wave I've done, and I would buy parts for the two biggest if I had the cash. Anyway, here's the list. Images are in the spoilers so they don't take up too much space. To those of you that gave suggestions and helped me figure out which sets to do, sorry it took so long, I hope it was worth the wait: POLYBAG: Vision of the Ninth Jedi, 74 pieces Microfighers: Slave One, 101 pieces TIE Fighter, also 101 pieces AT-ST vs Ewok Glider dual pack, 198 pieces Battle Packs: Droid battle pack, 151 pieces Endor Rebels, 103 parts Duel that I retroactively made a qoutes set: Reactor duel, 200 pieces Actual full system sets: Kamino Laboratory, 294 pieces Tallie's A-wing, 317 pieces Qoutes set: Tatooine sunset, 223 pieces Wheel Bike Chase, 537 pieces B-wing, 687 pieces Yavin Temple, 1420 pieces Finally, the one I spend legitimately like 9 hours on, the AT-TE, clocking in at 1279 pieces So that's it. Hope it was worth a look from you guys. Let me know what you think of them, any suggestions you have for future sets, yell at me for the lost sleep you have over the atrocity that is my build for boga's head, etc. Though those suggestions for future models may be a bit far out, I have some non-star wars mocs I want to make first. (A Dune ornithopter, an Ideas attempt, and a Daredevil 18+ set.)

No problem, I'll shoot you a PM and I believe you'd then be able to respond with the email. I'm also gonna shamelessly plug myself here, new moc wave tomorrow guys! Running a bit down to the wire on it (I've still got a bit of the final set left, and I've only done about 60% of the renders), but unless I get struck by lightning or something it'll be out tomorrow. I'll be honest, I'm pretty proud of all but one of the sets in this new wave, and I've built more of these sets in physical bricks than any other wave. It also features what I believe are the two largest stud.io models I've ever done. It's got a wide range too, with sets ranging from attack of the clones, to the last jedi, to rebels, to a set based on episodes 2,4, and 9 at the same time, even a non-canon polybag.

Yup. If they're going to the trouble of a new mold anyway, I think theyd just do a minifigure with a new mold for a neck/head. The quality of these leaks seems super high, but given the guy's never leaked anything before this, and these leaks just...feel off, I'm skeptical. I know "they feel off" isn't exactly ironclad proof, but I just think something's not right here. -

100% agree. Not at all a fan of it. I'd guess so? I agree, force ghosts aren't known for their athleticism, but they can do things like move and sit down. I mean, it's pretty iconic to see -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Mandalorianknight replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This one I could see being quite popular, as a remake of one of the origional sets and as a 501st type army builder, though considering the last cannon was $20 and the last starfighter was $30, $30 for both would be a steal! I had this concept for awhile of buildible faction logos with the main characters of that faction below it (IE imperial cog with Vader, Emporer, Tarkin, and stormtroopers, or jedi insignia with Luke, Anakin, Rey, Yoda, etc), but I've evolved it a bit into the thrones most factions seem to have. Some examples: Rebel Throne Room ($69.99): The raised podium and backdrop of the end of ANH with celebration Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca, 2x rebel pilot, and 2x rebel honor guard. Boba's Throne ($69.99): Boba fett's throne and the floor in front of it (with the grate) with Boba, Fennec, Krrsantan, the main 2 mods, Pork, and Chop. The emperor's throne room: Palpy's throne with the stairs, along with Palpatine, Vader, Tarkin, Thrawn, 2x royal guards, and 2x stormtroopers. Mandalorian Throne ($69.99): Mandalore throne with Djin, Grogu, Cara, Greef, Bo-Katan, Axe Woves, and Koska Reeves. Jedi Council chambers ($69.99): The council chambers with 7 seats built up in about a third of a circle. Comes with Yoda, Mace, Ep3 Obi-wan, Ep3 Anakin, Kit Fisto, Shaak Ti, and Stass Allie. Jeez, i just wrote "throne" so many times it doesn't even look like a word anymore. Anyway, here's an image of the final model I'm working on. I'm about 60% done, and should definately be able to FINALLY post the mocs on sunday. Based. I see your commander Doom battle pack and raise you UCS commander Thorn ($2999.99): The largest set ever, a life-sized Commander Thorn model. -

Just to nip this in the bud here, Qui gon is an existing figure and was clearly just used because it was a figure the guy had on hand. I don't think it means anything regarding what set it'll be in, unless the guy also said it means there must be a white 4x4 plate in the set too. Yeah. The quality of them is both evidence for the leak (there is a copyright thing on the ghost) and against it. Honestly I'd be more likely to believe the ghost one if it didn't come from the kaminoan leaker, since I'm 99% sure that the kaminoan figure is fake. -

Something seems really sketchy here to me. A guy comes out of nowhere and immediately has two leaks pushing the boundaries for lego star wars minifigures? The force ghost mold looks very legit as a manner of the part, it even has that little indent, but something just doesn't add up here. -

It's not just UCS this time, there's, I think 3 other sets releasing. Standard sets tend to leak earlier than UCS sets, which usually don't leak until right about when they would be revealed anyway. We're currently about 2 months from the may 1 release of the sets, I think leaked images could be any day now. -
Eh, it's not that much steeper than the images I've seen. if you continue the plate paneling around it a bit more, it shouldn't be an issue.

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
Mandalorianknight replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Lucky! I've been stalking the set online waiting for it to drop to $45 or $40. $30 for it is insane, you should buy as many as possible and get your money back by selling the gar saxons and bo-katans. You could end up with a fleet of ships and come out with MORE money than you've started with! Yup. Ironically if the BPs were less expensive or slightly more qualitative (4 figures in the accessory packs, or the snowtrooper pack being $15) would have had me spending MORE on lego. As is I can't justify building factions I'm only meh on (hoth rebels are situational and I prefer p2 clones) if it's $5 per figure. Haven't been buying any sets recently, but I'm slowly building up the troop complement of my AT-AT. Just bought another old Veers last night to use as a loadmaster. -

Yeah, that could be pretty cool. Kaminoan architecture is something that I think would be nice in lego form. 8 more pieces, but I get the point. The Eta has some other stuff though (the massive printed cockpit, overall just more bigger pieces than the eta) that imo still puts it over the edge. The Etas have consistently been more expensive than the deltas, too, considering we'd have an Eta in 2014 for $25 and then a Delta in 2018 for $20. -
Kage, this is simply insane. Just thinking of a computer able to function while having a build of this size alone is impressive, setting aside the sheer amount of time you've clearly put into making this gargantuan model detailed and accurate. I cannot wait to see the finished model.

I think you forgot to post images, this just says "large".

I've always liked the delta-7, but it's never been something I think warrants being $30. Looking at anakin's, it was $20 for 239 pcs instead of 282, so it's possible there'll be a side build, but I think it'll end up just being a bit larger. -
I don't think so. I did some looking into it, as I did want to print some pauldrons, and not only this guy but the entire leadership of this "factions" thing were banned with a vague explanation about "differences with the moderators" or something. Seems like they're on discord now, but I was unable to find any way to actually find their discord server or links to contact them.
