LEGO Hidden Side 2020
Lego David replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Well Hidden Side did borrow some tropes from Stranger Things, so I guess you could see it that way. -
@Durin the Deathless Wow! Amazing army dude! Where did you get so many dwarfs from?

YES!!! Me too! Too be fair, Speed Champions isn't all that interesting, and the cars are overpriced in my country (20$ for one car in my country). I would love to see something like the Tiny Turbos or the Power Racers return!

LEGO Hidden Side 2020
Lego David replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thank you very much, I was finally able to see them myself. -
I'd prefer that to be it's own theme, but I guess it could work under City too.

IMO, World City isn't really all that bad... We still got a few interesting sets: Seriously, I quite like those.

Is this one of the new themes which were leaked a while back? Dots, Zebra, Leaf, or something?

Where can I see those leaked Hidden Side minifigures? I tried searching them up, but I didn't find anything. -

I don't think Hidden Side's sales have anything to do with the Halloween season or anything, since LEGO hasn't marketed it as a Halloween theme. LEGO isn't even an American company lol.

LEGO Ideas Discussion
Lego David replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
@Digger of Bricks, I think you are going to love this one: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/99d0e4df-08a1-49cb-94fc-e5cca2639a89 -
There has been the rumor floating around that the theme is failing, but there isn't a whole lot that suggests that.

I went today to a local toy store and asked an employee about how well the Hidden Side sets have sold, and the answer was that they have sold well. That may be only in my area, but I don't think that the rumor of Hidden Side failing is real.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
Lego David replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I liked this season overall, but it has a few issues, mainly with the filler episodes. But I'm still excited to see where the series goes next with all the new stuff that was added in this season.- 4,591 replies

I can't believe we actually did it!

I love seeing MOCs that use weird parts too, but Man, I doubt I'll see those used elsewhere and still look good... Especially with those nightmarish faces.

I went to a local store yesterday and the Hidden Side sets were advertised as "Seen on TV". Is there any Hidden Side commercial that aired on TV that I don't know of?
-
Like, what possibilities? I can bet you are going to have a hard time using those pieces outside of what they are supposed to be.

Hidden Side VS Monster Fighters
Lego David replied to Lego David's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Not really. Yes, they tend to go up for some themes, but not Monster Fighters You can find them for less than their original retail price on Bricklink Plus, you can't judge if you haven't even looked... -
Hidden Side VS Monster Fighters
Lego David replied to Lego David's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Why wouldn't you get them now from Bricklink or eBay? -
The figures look like complete garbage, to be honest. They clearly haven't learned from the disaster that was Angry Birds. They are doing Angry Birds all over again, but WORSE!

Why are short-lived themes so good?
Lego David replied to Lego David's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
If it keeps growing at this rate, sooner or later AFOLs are going to be the majority. -
Usually when people think of popular lines, they may think Castle, Ninjago, Bionicle, Pirates etc, lines that lasted a very long time. But they also think about lines like Monster Fighters, Pharaoh's Quest, Atlantis, Power Miners etc, lines that lasted less than 2 years, yet they left an incredible impact (sometimes even grater impact than longer-lived lines did). There is something about those short-lived lines that makes them so good, that people still remember and want them back to this day, despite their limited run-time. What do you think is that thing?

The reason why the System one got so many supporters is because it got a lot of promotion... the other ones did not.
