I'm from Romania too! It's nice to see another person from my country on this site! As for the MOC, it could be improved, but it's still pretty neat.

LEGO Hidden Side 2020
Lego David replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
What makes you believe that? Nexo Knights sold well. While It may not have done well with AFOLs, it certainly did with kids. Otherwise it wouldn't have gotten a full 3-year run. -
LEGO Hidden Side 2020

I think this pretty much confirms that Hidden Side did well in terms of sales. If it wouldn't have done well, then they probably wouldn't have decided to keep the augmented reality thing going. -
The Best and Worst of 2019

Why do so many people say that Technic was the worst theme of this year? I get it that it doesn't appeal to everyone, but still, there have been so much worse themes this year...- 42 replies

LEGO Hidden Side 2020

I personally prefer when LEGO borrows from other IPs, but gives it's own creative twist on it rather than when LEGO just makes licensed sets based on that IPs. Yes, the theme is basically just a mish-mash of Stranger Things, Scooby-Doo and Ghostbusters, but who cares? It's still an original theme, at the end of the day. And it still has it's own ideas and concepts, despite the obvious borrowed elements. -
Specialized pieces are no big deal! Or are they?

From my point of view, none of the MOCs in that contest forced in the part... They just blended it very well with the rest of the MOC. Some of them even took advantage of the part's weird shape! Honestly, after seeing what people were able to do with it, I feel tempted to hop on Bricklink and purchase that part for myself. -

Just looking at them gives me a tone of ideas, honestly. I think they would look great on some sort of Mermaid MOC. What's so bad about this part? Sure, nobody is going to look at it and say "wow, what a nice part usage", but I think you could do a tone of different things with it. Yes, you can achieve the exact same shape using other pieces, but if you want to save some time, you can just use that piece instead of making it using smaller pieces. -

This MOC here by Logan W. uses the heads of the ducks from Disney series 2 as eyes: Or another example, this MOC uses the head of Coleman Trebor for Star Wars as a nose: And as others have pointed out, the reason LEGO doesn't reuse licensed heads is probably because the licensed agreement doesn't allow them to. -

My point was that there is no such thing as a useless part. Will the part be more useful if it were less specialized? Absolutely. But that doesn't mean we should regard the specialized pieces as "useless" just because using them is more challenging . As you said, the ariplane nose could be used as a giant robot foot. -
4+ is the exact same thing as Juniors. While they may have changed the name, the theme isn't discontinued.

Could be used to make large space ships. Or maybe if you want something that isn't an aircraft, maybe you could you use it in some sort of big tableau MOC. -
A lot of people seem to dislike LEGO sets or themes that use specialized pieces because "they can't be used outside of their intended purpose", which isn't necessarily true. With a bit of creativity and thinking outside the box, pretty much any piece can be used, regardless of how specific it may seem at first glance. I used to hate Galidor, but after seeing what people were able to do with it, I kinda started liking it myself. Heck, I'd even go as far as saying that Galidor has some pretty darn useful parts! If you've got some specialized pieces laying around in your collection and you don't know how to use them, try thinking outside the box! If you spend a little time analysing the piece you have, looking at it's shape, or how it would look combined with other similar pieces, who knows? Maybe you will be able to use the part in a way you have never even thought of before! What are your thoughts? Do you agree? Do you disagree?

There is a rumor that Pirates might be coming back "in a big way" in 2020. But it's just a rumor, nothing is confirmed.- 42 replies

Where did you get the confirmation from?
-
How do you know that? Did you get sales data from the time they were released or something? I wouldn't be surprised if LEGO themselves didn't have that data anymore...
-
No, those got discontinued back in 2018, and we haven't gotten any Constraction sets ever since. I mean, if LEGO made something like those MOCs, for example I would personally buy it day one: What do you mean? So it's confirmed not to be constraction?
-
I personally hope it's constraction, becuase if they don't do a new constraction theme now, they will likely never do a new one ever again. There is an entire part of the community out there that is struggling to survive because of the lack of Constraction sets, and this part of the community may soon vanish if a new Constraction theme doesn't come out soon. With that being said, I also wouldn't mind if it's a system Pirates theme, either. But you know what would be better? If it were some sort of System and Constraction crossover, similar Knight's Kingdom 2. That would be awesome, and both Pirates and Constraction fans would be happy.
-
It's already been a mouth since the project reached 10.000 supporters, and it's still on the LEGO Ideas Website front page... maybe that means something.
-
What is it that you can confirm, though?
-
What other new lines were supposed to come out in 2020 besides "Leaf"? If those rumors are true than I doubt they will do 18 sets for a Pirates theme. Maybe it's actually Zebra, or IP-2, perhaps?
-
I mean, I had to choose between Sci-Fi Pirates and no Pirates at all, I would definitely choose the Sci-Fi Pirates.

How much is left until this review season ends? -
I am not sure what to believe. If this is true, it's most likely the "Leaf" theme which has been known to come out in 2020 for quite some time now. But, this theme has also 18 leaked sets in total, which seems a bit too much for a Pirates theme. Pirates has never been a "big bang" theme, especially not in recent years. Perhaps it's some sort of Sci-Fi Pirates theme similar to Nexo Knights, which may be able to get a "big bang" treatment...
