I don't say it will be a bad set. The Kwik-E-Mart was objecively better than the Simpsons house in terms of the easter egg amount and detail. With Snake it even had an exclusive character. It still sold less great than the house of course. I mean it was the house with the whole Simpsons family. I just worry that Lego's buisness people without any connection to the toy or licence are not smart enough to not end the line as soon as a set is less successfull than Rivendell. In fact I am pretty surprised we did not get smaller sets. There is a Ninjago dragon with perfect Balrog horns.
-
I don´t have it xD I think updated versions of the dwarfs, Bilbo with dual moulded legs and a superior build would sell quite well :)
-
I just hope it sells well enough so we get more sets. Rivendell had the whole fellowship and was so gorgeous it was in fact "it can stand in the livingroom without even a wife disliking Lego and Lotr nagging"-material. It had extremely usefull parts for every setting... Barad Dur ist a black tower with an evil orange eye. Without too many interesting charaters... (In my case just Sauron). A Bag End with Thorins Fellowship would have been the most successfull idea in my opinion.

I think Lego took the best approach from a buisness standpoint: Female quota for those who care about such things with neutral torso prints (no yellow/flesh visible, no female outlines) for those who just see a building toy, that has to be good in what it is supposed to be: being open for own combinations. I don´t get the discussion about it. The one thing I really disliked quite often in those female figures lately is the fact that they are pretty poorly designed like the two in the Barracuda bay. Robin loot looks like leftovers from a very poorly sorted BAM tower... The one with black hair is better but simply sucks next to the older version of that character with a much more elaborate design - especially the hairpiece. I am glad the female vikings look so much better than those. What in fact bothers me in terms of diversity is the lack of different beard pieces as well as the very small amount of blond male faces. This... I´d love to get a new pirate torso with stripes in another colour than green, red or blue.

Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Gorilla94 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
150€- Minifig scale Episode 2 Republic Gunship with printed Bubble guns, printed cockpit windows, closeable doors, very few visible studs. springloaded shooters that well Hidden you would not notice if you didn't know (the only model Lego managed to do this was the penguins gar from TLBM and boy, i love it even as an adult). I don't realy care about the figures. I already have a crew of 501st troopers to use it. 250€ - minifig scale Ebon Hawk with the complete crew including a new mould for hk47. Awesome build. Lots of printed elements. No stickers. -

Did he leak reliable information before? I´d be really surprised, if we get Malak now. I could imagine there being a Ebon Hawk set with a Malak Polybag or something like that, if the kotor remake will ever be completed, but getting Malak just randomly sounds strange to me. -
Minifigures Series 25 - The Guessing Game
Gorilla94 replied to Lion King's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yes... I always thought a Harpy was missing from the mythological creatures... sadly this has to be the most tasteless (oh, boy, those colours) and lazy (looks like a reused Chima face without headgear) design I ever saw as a minifig taking the carebear's spot... especially with the new peak-bodywear peace from set 80046 I would have expected something better than this :/ thanks! That would be really cool. There will never be enough western fantasy prints. I agree 100%. Hehe, I used the acron headgear combined with a plain head as a oversized item, too :D Yes, i meant the Barbarian :) Seems like it is meant to represent a site character from compan or something like that. At least that's what some people wrote. I just hope for a cool Torso and leg print. -
Minifigures Series 25 - The Guessing Game
Gorilla94 replied to Lion King's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I love the Triceratops. The Bat knight could be really really cool. I need better pictures. Is the shepard a Castle figure? I can't tell from the pictures. The dog is well made. What is the red haired figure supposed to be? I like the sword. The mushroom hat would look cool combined with a plain white head. Are the legless sprinters legs medium size? They look shorter. -
Oh, ok. On the picture it looked great. Maybe you can use plastic polisher to remove it and remove some of the material inside of the helmet with a sharp blade. To be honest this is a bit of a relief. Put a bunch of work into my custom resin print and was already annoyed over the wasted time^^'

@MAB I am aware the production costs are pretty much non existing... I still doubt Lego would have done the ridiculously small effort for just one set 😅 I saw it on IG. It is not Koruit or Xinh, but another one. Wait a few months and they should be available on ebay, amazon and so on. I am personally not interested. My custom one is better.
-
I don't know. I am no leaker. I am just sure Isildur will be included (or a polybag), because the broken sword mould. Lego would not have gone the extra mile with the broken sword as a mould instead of a cheap sticker in Rivendell, if it was not meant to be reused... and where could it be reused? Also the scene of the ring being cut off is one of the most iconic ones in the Trilogy, one of two memorable ones of Sauron as a humanoid and Saurons Tower does not offer that much Lego could do in general. To be honest I don't know. In case he will not appear: There is an impressive Chinese figure for little money. Just take that ones helmet and combine it with the original Nazghul :)

DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Gorilla94 replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well... The main problem is that most superhero movies since the infinity saga were just not very good and the Average Joe makes no difference between DC and Marvel. They need character arcs with the classic hero´s journey again. Flawed characters that become something great. It´s not that difficult. Then things should become fine pretty fast again. If they put Swamp thing in a movie with batman and made him in fact really good, people would like him. -
There will be Isildur for sure. They can reuse the broken Sword. I can't imagine they have us the mould without the Intention to use it more than once. I am pretty sure we will get elrond, too. He would be cool for a Mount doom sceene and require just a new print.

VIKING VILLAGE Ideas set via Target vote
Gorilla94 replied to jtooker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Oh, boy, does this set rock :D I adore the shields. The printed parts are awesome. I love how the torso prints got no female waist lines, so I can use the torso for my male dwarfs. It has Edoras vibes. Should be quite a popular set. The only thing I really miss in this set is a new beard or at least a recolour (for example the new Gimli one or the one from dreamz in tan) -
DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Gorilla94 replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
There is still hope for the next year as long as the theme is active. All it needs is a successfull movie or series to get a bunch of sets again. Compared to all those unfinished but ended licences this is pretty good for Lego standards. And the average quality of those few sets isn't that terrible either. The minifig Tumbler is one of my favourite sets. If they'd do a new big display set with Schwarzenegger Mr. Freeze next year, I'd be happy. -
DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Gorilla94 replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think we just have a bit too high expectations after the lego batman movie and the additional DC Cmf... :/ With DC not being the centre or attention I am glad the theme at least exists. Warner needs to make some great movies... I just wish we got Black Mask, Mad hatter and Hush. Then I´d have a perfect representation of every Gotham character I want. Ok, I´d also love a Schwarzenegger Mr. Freeze. -
Disney Properties 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Gorilla94 replied to Huigberts Builds's topic in LEGO Licensed
Understandable from an adults perspective. As a child I loved Hagrids hut, because it looked really good. I also adored the paper background in the Lego studio vampire set. I drew a lot of backgrounds and implemented them in my builds. -

Gorilla94 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I expected that... It´s the main selling point for lots of people^^´ Maybe we are lucky. I mean, Vader and C3PO with printed arms became more available, too. Not to forget Mando and the new Boba. I´d really like to get a pretty Rex minifig and a Gunship so good as the ATTE. -

Could Simpsons line of Minifigure series or Sets return?
Gorilla94 replied to Vitruvius's topic in LEGO Licensed
There is a Mini-bobble-head toy line which has rubber heads you can just take off and put on a Lego torso. Combined with a custom printed Torso it is the perfect Skinner. Sadly they didn't do Moe, Lenny and Carl. I agree. I'd love to see them back. It is by far my favourite Lego theme. From a reboot with a d2c house each year to a bunch of smaller dioramas there would be huge potential. -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 25. Rumors and discussion
Gorilla94 replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It was 4(?) years ago... I am sorry, that I don´t archive every article I read on my mobile in the subway... ^^´ I just read this statement and was astonished about the hypocracy when seeing the second bag a few hours later, which showes, that Lego just doens´t care at all about the subject. That´s why I still remember. It is like the stupid statement that stickers are used, because kids love to apply them... Sure... in a 350€ Ghostbusters HQ... while 4+ Sets are printed. Sometimes PR talk is just so stupid I can´t forget it. I doubt Lego will make dissolving bricks. Every normal person would be switching to Chinese bricks or stop buying at all in that case.- 574 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 25. Rumors and discussion
Gorilla94 replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
In a German fan forum someone did the statistics on that a while ago. Classic green-washing by Lego. The same week I read some Lego manager´s statement about switching to dissolving plastic so bricks wont stay in the sea (if they do, the true reason will be to thin out the secondary market, because children won´t be able to play with their grandparents lego anymore) I got TLM2-Cmfs with for the first time an extra plastic bag inside. There is exactly one point that makes them use boxes: Stop people feeling for the figures they want. I hope to get Storm´s cool hairpiece somewhere.- 574 replies

The ucs-Gunship is not compatible with minifigures or any other model makes it in my opinion worthless, because it is boring as hell in it's own. The 40€-tumbler or 50€-Wall-E showed pretty well that it is possible to make a gorgeous fun toy everyone loves.
