  1. I know that... it is the same with blond hair and glasses. Could the TLBM-Robin-Hairpiece including glasses combined with a bearded head work?
  2. I am gratefull for 3rd party custom printers. Without one I would have now a "E" on my shelf instead of the Kwik-E-Mart, because pretty much all stickers peeled off after 3 years. Stickers are one of the main reasons for me to not buy sets. Printing something like the Mystery Maschine myself costs more then the Lego model an it is not possible for small customisers to print copper, silver and gold colours. Thats why I dind´t buy a single Harry Potter Set. It´s just not worth it, if something like the mirror in the Great Hall set is a sticker.
  3. I don´t get why it has to be such a short time until you have to finish... If I had at least a month I could come up with a bunch of cool projects. That way I won´t participate.
  4. I´d love a minifig version :)
  5. I think we have to keep in mind that Lego went completely crazy this year and raised prices for some products 30% just because "why not?". I guess we have to imagine an at least slightly overpriced 400€ set with a 500€ price tag. With a 400€ set I can see them do for example a Bag End, too. It is just an idea but could it be a huge Barad Dur with an open backside depicting iconic scenes like the Jurrassic Park gate? It would appeal to old collectors, who want a Barad Dur and would like to get a few updates in the fellowship. It would be cool for new customers because it is iconic as hell and works on its own.
  6. That would be smart. Some dual moulding and armprinting for Boromir, printed medium legs for dwarfs and a few moulds like a hat for Gandalf with hair and it would be interesting for those who own the old stuff, too. A play theme rarely comes with those things and it wasn't very successfull before when there was not a huge part of the fanbase already owning sets. I'd prefer a 20-Figure cmf, but I guess there is more profit in putting 3 cmf-quality-figures into several highly expensive sets.
  7. Hm... To be honest all I want by now is Boromir with dual moulded and printed arms, dual moulded legs for the hobbits like Dobby got them, and Faramir. Pretty much verything else was done by other customisers or I managed to do it myself. Sadly no 3rd party printing service can do metal colours and Koruit/Xinh focus on army builders so they will most likely never do the fellowship.
  8. Wow... I never noticed they were missing.
  9. Painting should work. Cutting a standard samurai sword should work. There is also a great 3rd party custom piece available.
  10. I´d really like this. It also means that there isn´t the gambling aspect of cmfs in boxes. But I doubt It would include the sidekicks. They are really strong selling points and Lego could just as well make a larger princess set including the side character - or a 4+ Set like they did with Pluto.
  11. It seems to me that there is too much thought put into it with discussion about potetial licencing deals. Disney sells. People went crazy about Disney series 1 and 2. It wasn´t a problem for the sales that sidekicks were missing, so there was no reason to put the effort and money in to include them. Lego also has the chance to successfully sell even the most pathetic Mulan friends set as long as a nice little exclusive mould for Mushu is included. Gonzo needed an accessory. The chicken is in production. It wasn´t much effort to give it a different print. (Pretty much) Nobody would buy a little set to get that chicken side character. No reason not to include it. If Disney wasn´t that popular, I´d say we probably could get sidekicks now, but even for 5€ they will still sell well enough.
  12. 212 Battlepack - 2 Standard Troopers, 1 Airbourn Trooper, 1 Gunner. Gunship with Captain Rex... I have enough 501 troopers. Just make the model really good, don't use stickers and put Rex into it. I don't care even if the other figures are boring stuff like Anakin... a version of young Asoka with normal eyes would be popular. It can be overpriced like the ATTE. As long as it isn't as crazy as Cad Banes ship people will buy ist. Ebon Hawk as soon as the kotor remake comes out. No stickers! There needs to be Revan, Malak and the whole crew. Malak and HK47 need a new mould each. I'd even buy a UCS Ebon Hawk. Any cheap little set with Crosshair in his bad batch outfit and Fennek Shand with helmet would also be nice. ... and if we want to get crazy: Delta Squad Battle pack. I mean, it is a wishlist-threat xD
  13. I thought the idea behind the castle and train was to fill them up with the cmf figures. Something like pride rock would be certainly a popular set for itself but it would not make much sense to put Uncle Scrooge or Mulan between the lions. It could always be released without a cmf (i honestly expected it after seeing the new lion moulds.). I think it is pretty much guaranteed we will get a new Disney cmf at some point with or without a D2C. They sold well. To be honest I am not looking forward to it that much. We won't get characters like Meg and Phil because they won't be sold without Hercules and Hades in the same series... Same for most other characters I'd like to get. The "1 character per bag" rule, that seems to be there, is also a huge letdown. Not having Jago and Abu as a little mould is just sad. I'm glad we got at least a mould for Pluto from the firefighter set. Of course there would not be a cool little Mushu mould coming with Mulan. If for example "Inside out" is included, there won't be all the emotions included and I doubt the left out ones will appear in a series 4, if Joy and Sadness are already done. I hope for at least one new well done Ducksburg character. Pete should be a big fig released in a regular set.
  14. I hope for 3 new chainmail-torso-prints. Maybe we get the new female viking headgear recoloured. Maybe a new round shield print? The new cmf20-helmet with another colour and print would rock. My dwarfen Army needs to grow xD
  15. The on average best unlicenced cmf series in a while in my opinion. Sadly no outstanding figure (like Viking, Aztec Warrior, Bard...) unlike the on average weaker ones before. I really like the turkey. The snowman is great. The dragon just being a recolour is lazy but the initial design is so wonderfull it is still ok. The elf is cute. Medium sized legs in light bluish grey and dark red are usefull. The toy horse is wonderfull. The printed red toy soldier arms and legs would look gorgeous on the red cloak soldiers from the pirates theme. I am quite dissapointed by the lack of any historical figure :/ The knight designed to look like a cheap costume (wich it gets done well - i just have no use for it) doesn't count in my opinion. There is also no reason why the front of the Wolfs tail is unprinted unlike Scrooge from Disney Series 2.
  16. I have problems to judge which hair colour he exactly has. It's black, isn't it? I saw some tony stark faces that have a similar smile like the google search pictures of him and pretty much that beard. I'll have a look when my exams are done xD I think I own pretty much every bearded flesh face for my dwarf army^^'
  17. A matter of personal taste, I guess... To be honest I am just into Movie 1 and 2 ^^´ If I get the cast of those in a perfect version I am happy :) The movies lost me at PoA, because I am not able to see what happens for large parts of the movie, while CoS just used blue/green light/filter to show that a place is dark. Never watched the last 3 movies and while I read all books I never feelt that much about everything after CoS. I agree that Krum isn´t very well executed as a minifig... There are tons of other light flesh faces with beard prints that would represent him better... In my opinion the big problem is his hair. This extremely short dark hair would require a bald hairpiece and printing all around the head...
  18. Interesting. I wasn´t aware this is supposed to be that outfit to be honest. She really needs dual moulded arms, dual moulded (or printed) legs and other hair ^^´ Does she have a second face print? It isn´t shown on bricklink. If so, I´ll probably get and upgrade her.
  19. The one thing really missing in my opinion is at least one medium-leg-robe-variant for the 3 other houses (Gryffindor got 5). Short legs without print don´t look as good and have a very limited use (they can´t even sit in class). Long legs are at least a bit more usefull, but having an 18 year old hufflepuff still sitting in 14 year old Harry´s class is not that funny in the long term. I´d also like a superior version of Hooch (the hair doesn´t fit at all, a second face print with glasses would be nice and her outfit should be the one from the iconic first flying lesson). Besides that I am good and don´t need more Potter stuff. What I´d love would be more House elves with dual moulded legs like Dobby - just to reuse them on lotr Hobbits. But with the last one using just plain black ones I doubt I´ll ever see dark brown or dark tan short pants :/
  20. @NovaBricks This problem could be - at least in my opinion - easily solved using a few printed panels (like for the deathstar hallway background) or even large paper elements like the old Lego Studio set with the vampire had. That could give this impression of a huge space behind the build. Actually I never understood why lego didn´t do this more often. I loved the lego studio set with the moving background and even painted some myself when I was a kid.
  21. I hope we will get more minifig sized batmobiles from the past... the Tumbler is one of my Top 10 favourite sets. The dark knight motorcycle with Catwoman or the Arkham knight Batmobile would surely sell well if done good.
  22. Well, this is disgusting... my money will go to customs and used flea market stuff from now on including not giving lego as present anymore or helping friends getting interesting cmfs. Congratulations, Lego. It needs quite a few sold insane 400€-castles just to compansate this.
  23. The ATTE is just cool. This is the first Star wars set, i'll be getting since my childhood... I remember playing with it in Star wars Battlefront 2 (the original Pandemic game) for so many hours. Normally I just get the figures of characters I really like. Right now there are 2 Sets left I'd like to see from Lego star wars: well done Minifig scale LAAT with Rex and an Ebon Hawk (In fact I'd even take a crazy huge UCS Version, if there is HK47 and all the other Crew members included as minifigs). And if they want to do something crazy in a CMF: Delta Squad :D
  24. I'd say there is a spectrum from "I want 300 spartans to make a moc" to "Oh, no... I got a second one of this character. The first one is awesome, but I do not need a second one and can't use even one of it's parts for something usefull". Of course the cmf is not targeted towards crazy army builders but at that point you are really unhappy because of the feeling of having thrown your money out of the window, if you got one twice it becomes a challenge at least with 12 or more blind bag figures and that price per bag. Like I said. If this is the case it needs a really, really popular IP to compensate for that. Muppets are insanely popular. Just as Donald Duck and so on. They can manage that. Obscure D-List cartoon characters with highly specific prints and accessory are less likely.
  25. I agree with Mandalorianknight. About cmfs I'd also add: superheroes have pretty much the least army building potential. If it is a bunch of unique super heroes they must be so popular, that so many people buy them that it becomes irrelevant that litteraly nobody wants more than one of each figure (worst starting point for a blindbag collecting toy). Harry Potter for example is popular enough so an insane amount of people wanted a full set. On top of it many figures had army building potential thanks to school uniforms. On top of that there were great prints and accessories in general. Lotr for example would have a huge fanbase, and it is great stuff for generic fantasy, too. If the right figures/outfits are included, there is also army building potential. I'd be glad, if we could get some playsets with a missing lesser known character each year. Mad Hatter or Azrael (white/red outfit) would look much cooler then Bronze Tiger from 2019, so they should be more interesting for children, too.
