  1. I really hoped for a standard movie gunship with Bubble cannons... or a really good clone Wars gunship with Rex, so I just habe to do some modifications :/ Well, I would not want that set even if it was for free. So it is irrelevant to me, that it is so overpriced. Glad for everyone who likes it anyways.
  2. Personally all I really need is Boromir with Dual moulded printed arms and Faramir. Did the Rest as customs, but I can't print metal colours :/ The smartest Play set would of course be Witchking vs. Eowyn for 50€ including a well made Fellbeast. Collectors/Nerds would buy it, kids would like the evil guy even if they don't know lotr. Add a horse and it will do even better. A smaller playset could be Gandalf vs. Balrog The ultimate UCS would be bag end with the complete fellowship of Thorin updated with printed medium legs (Bilbo with Dual moulded dark ran short legs) and a few weapon moulds (Orcrist, Balins axe-sword, Fili's swords...) I'll get everything about dwarf. Mines of Moria, Erebor.
  3. Did I see it correctly that Tritons whole Head including his face is a helmet piece put on top of a standard minifigure head? :/ I really hoped for a new beard piece :(
  4. Is the Pegasus a new mould or a regular horse with different printing and modified plates to hold the wings? Would be a great piece for Lotr, if it is a standard horse.
  5. I wish the batmobile was a cute little set like the tumbler.
  6. His pupils look like Sorcerer Mickey is experimenting with alchemy x'D Somehow I like it :'D I hope we will see more sets like the Winnie Pooh set. Just a neat little sceene with all of the most important characters.
  7. Wow, I did not notice this at first. In my opinion there are some gorgeous minifigures. Robin Hood is one of the best figures ever made in my opinion. I also love how they even made the crown too large for Prince John's head, so it rests on his ears like in the movie. Only thing sad about him is his tail missing. Some could be a bit better, but are ok like Cruella. Some Choices are odd, like Crickett bring as large as Pinocchio. Pocahontas should come with John smith. Even the sceene referenced with the leaves includes him. Mad Hatter would have been cool and also interesting for DC Fans. The Queen of hearts looks lonely. Mulan without Mushu feels incomplete and the Sword mould is a terrible choice as well as the little Bug printed on the 1x1 brick without bars, which isn't even recognisable as the little cage knowing what it is supposed to be... After all I am satisfied with my last series. If it isn't Simpsons of Lotr I won't buy boxes.
  8. I love how well they printed the evil queen's face. I would have never expected this level of quality in printing after the disgusting Mercy from the Overwatch sets a while ago, which was so bad, that there are custom printed heads available to replace it. Robin Hood and King John rock so hard. Oh, boy, what i would give for Sir Hiss, Maid Marian and Little John...^^'
  9. I would not worry. Lego wants to make money and if it is done well the Lotr IP can be like printing money. I expect at least a Mordor Set with Sauron and a Gondor set with the Witchking. I would be surprised, if we won't get a Bag end set, too. It wouldn't even require new moulds, if done for Lotr only. With the hobbit dwarfs it would sell like crazy. The UCS falcon showed how to do such a set. Personally I hope for a dwarfen set. Erebor from the Hobbit would rock hard. Theodens Hall could be just gorgeous, too.
  10. I love the crazy guy with the deamon eye on his hat xD The new bearded hairpiece is just awesome. The rest is not my cup of tea, but I am glad for anyone who likes it :)
  11. Thank you :D I guess I'll keep Pippins old torso, then. In my opinion the shiny belt buckle improves the figure very much :D I solved my problem with Sam :) The new face has orange eyebrows, but they work well with the old medium flesh hairpiece. The dark orange hair works perfect for Merry and suits him better with the dark green Torso :) Aragorn stays the same like from the old sets in my Display but with the new sword replacing a slightly less perfect custom piece. The best version of Legolas is in my opinion the old one with the Dual moulded arms of the cmf20-Viking :) what are your opinions On Boromir? Sword and Shield are now perfect, of course. I prefer the new face and the outfits print is by far superior... the only thing I really don't like on the new one are the legs being blue( Those should have been dual moulded ) and his red arms (need Dual moulding and printing) Gimli is a bit difficult in my opinion. I think he really needs printed arms and the new beard looks good from the front doesn't work that well on the backside combined with the helmet, so I prefer the old beard mould. That one in dark Orange would be perfect. My custom Cape imtroves the figure quite much. I wish the axe would have been a Clip compatible with a brown bar piece ^^'
  12. I am thinking at the moment how to make the perfect hobbits combinating old and new parts. I just want one cute fellowship without multible versions of each character. What do you guys think? I guess there is no discussion about the legs. Dual mouldet feet are superior. I'd also use the new capes. I actually prefer Frodos old torso over the new one. Merry's new torso has shiny golden details, so I'd go with that one while I like the Design of the older one more. The new one for Samwise with the Jacket is more accurate, i guess, but the Design with all the bags on the old torso looks so much better in my opinion, that I'll probably use that one. With Pippin I am not sure... Did Pippin actually wear a belt like on the old torso in any sceene? The new print without one seems more accurate to me, but the old one looks fancier in my opinion with the shiny belt buckle and the shirt details on the neck. The heads are my big issue... I like them looking cute. The friendly faces from the new set are great for Pippin, and Frodo... not sure about Sam and Merry. I think they should have different hair colours, because it looks better next to each other and Sam should not be looking angry. Maybe I should give Sam the new Merry Face and medium nougat hair and Merry keeps the old head. I'd really like to hear your opinions. I really hope we will see dual moulded bare feet with dark tan pants for Bilbo in the future.
  13. The leaked picture of dreamz characters shows a new beard piece compatible to armour :)
  14. Thanks! :) Well, there was the leaked Design for Barad Dur, we got the perfect Horn piece for a Balrog, several new lotr moulds Lego could perfectly reuse... I think there is no chance we won't see more sets. Personally I'd love to see Erebor, which I know is pretty unlikely xD
  15. Do you guys know, if Lego reuses moulds from weapon bags in other combinations? I can't see Lego putting the same bag as in the Rivendell set with Elven Blades and Boromir's sword into every set that includes Anduril or Sting, which would be pretty much every set.
  16. I don´t get why lego did the complete development process for the Temple of doom set and then cancels it because of it´s "problematic" themes... I´d understand if Harrison Ford suddenly acted like Ezra Miller and now nobody would want merchandise with his face on it or something like that, but all the criticism about the sceene this set is based on is several years old. The person responsible for burning this money should be fired. With that money they could have made for example another simpsons building. What do you guys think? As far as I can tell the set had a new cool horn piece. Lego has to use it somewhere else, don´t they? :/
  17. That's the problem I already talked about when there came Disney series 1. Lego did too much cherry picking. Stitch is more interesting to most of the people than Lilo. She won't be made separately without him. Zero chance. Megara and Phil would have been great, but with Hercules and Hades in Series 2 we won't get them and so on. I would have preferered to get less different movies per series but then all of the most important characters.
  18. There is 100% something between legs and torso :D Now he has real potential to become my favourite Disney Minifigure :)
  19. I really tried to be positive, but to be honest this is just underwhelming... In series 23 it felt really cheap, that they did not print the wolf´s tailpiece blue on 3 sites like they did it for uncle Scrooge. Same for Speedy in the Looney Toons. This time they avoid to make this embarassing mistake by just leaving the existing moulds away for Robin and John. Awesome. Raise this person´s salary. There are so many unnecessary bad choices that don´t even save money. Like why on Earth did they give Mulan the Gladiator short sword? It is clearly meant to be Shan Yu´s, which has the exact same blade as the mould from those Raya-Princess-Sets. At least give her that one in grey... Baymax is one of the worst minifigures I ever saw. The only thing good about him would be, if Lego reuses his arms for a Popeye minifigure.
  20. Wait a minute... are there no Tail pieces on Robin and John ?
  21. Robin and Prince John are just so perfect I´d love a set like the Winnie Pooh one of this sceene :)
  22. Oh, boy! That Ewok is adorable :D I hole we get a Christmas Jawa one day xD
  23. Baby Rocket's mould would work well for Aristocats.
  24. I am surprised in a lot of ways. I would never have expected to see an accurate sword mould for Boromir. His shield is just fantastic. On the other hand I just can't get why he has again plain red arms... and the completely blue legs look much worse than the old version in my opinion :/ Elrond's and Gandalf's new printed skirt pieces are gorgeous. Gandalf again having a bald head underneath the old standard witch hat with an inaccurate buckle seems like a joke to me but I already made a custom solution anyways. Gimli looks strange to me. It may look better in real live but I prefer the old one updated with medium legs by far. I just hate the whole weapon mould being pearl gray. I can't even paint the hilt brown, because the figure still needs to grab it. They should have made it an axe head, that can be put in a Bar piece, not one mould for the whole weapon. That way the piece would not only work better in the one function it is supposed to be but would also be a usefull piece in other situations. To be honest I can't stand the new elven hair piece. I see how it ismore accurate for Legolas with hair on his shoulders but the top part just looks off to me on most characters. The old one for Elrond was far superior. Glad I own it. The stickers are a bad joke. Especially stuff like the Mithril armour in gold und silver, wich I can't even fix with custom prints :/ The printed hobbit legs just rock. I will definetly buy some parts separately from the set. I hope they are successfull enough to give us more sets. Every piece I can use to improve my favourite display is welcome. If Lego ever produces a Moria or Erebor Set with this level of detail, I'll buy the whole thing and integrate it into my dwarven mountain.
  25. What do you guys think? Could we see the cmf24 orc jaw piece again in the lotr line? I have to say I adore it. It gives orcs a more cartoonish vibe and keeps the cuteness minifigures should have in my opinion. I always disliked those disgusting mouths on the original Lego lotr orcs ^^'
