  1. Ha! This is great! Nice job. 😄
  2. Thanks. I really should take some close ups of that little fella, Thanks very much. That’s a really nice thing to say. Much appreciated :) Thank you. It was a bit of a milestone build actually where I realised I either had to do my best to do it properly or not do it at all. Which was where the whole ‘matching to blueprints and screenshots’ came from. First time I’ve really tried to do a moc to that level of accuracy. But it won’t be the last.
  3. Please excuse my mugshot in this post but a banana for scale just wasn't cutting it. I've just completed work on a pretty big Nebulon-B. A re-make of a midi scale version of the ship I created 3 years ago. Unlike that one however, for this model I matched it to blueprints and screenshots every step of the design and build process (see final image below). The Nebulon-B turns out to be a far sleeker and streamlined ship than it appears to be at first glance. Hopefully I've captured some of that with my build. Instructions are available on Rebrickable here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-131500/Rubblemaker/movie-accurate-nebulon-b-escort-frigate-midi-plus-scale/#details Full album can be found on Flickr here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72177720304383285 Thanks for looking. :)
  4. Thanks 😊. A lot of people have commented on the snowspeeder aesthetics. Kind of wish I'd made more of that now! 😁
  5. You have a very good memory! These are indeed the engines from my podracer moc, though I’ve modified them in several places so it wasn’t just taking them off that moc and sticking them onto this one. But I just couldn’t bring myself to dismantle them yet. They fit too well with the idea I had for this ship 😁
  6. The future of law enforcement. Don't mess with the Classic Space Police Force! Full album: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72177720303616661 Or come find me on Instagram: @rubblemaker_lego. Thanks for looking.
  7. Good eye, the Neo Classic Space craft started life as a pod racer. But I thought it looked much funnier to just stick the engines directly onto the side of it.
  8. Thanks. Photoshop for the background, plus several different photographic elements combined (sparks, smoke, shadows etc..) The models were both shot together lit brightly from one side in a pitch black room, so they would cast shadows on each other. Hell yeah! He’s flying a ship with Zargonian SuperCruiser engines strapped to the side of it. He can outrun these fiends!

  10. Pfft, these men are from the Classic space era. They don’t need windscreens. They’re made of titanium! They eat windscreens for breakfast! Thanks very much. It’s about twice the size of Bennys racer, but his engines are going to be hard to beat. I think you’re right, Blacktron are going to be bantha fodder.
  11. I build freestyle with what I have in my parts collection, and one thing I don’t have is a trans lime green canopy. Besides, it was built as a competitor to my previous moc, this one below, which was a Neo Classic space racer and also had no canopy. Hence the whole ‘planetside racer’ angle on them both. Which reminds me, I really must buy up a bulk load of trans yellow and trans lime green canopy pieces ;)
  12. Ah, that’s good. It’s not just me that sees a scarab beetle in the aesthetic then. :) Re the guns.. Yeah.. I know and agree to a certain extent… but I just love building guns into my ships. This is meant as a competitor to my previous moc (NCS Shorty) which also had guns…. because .. I love building guns into my ships 😄 Think of them as competitors in a death race. Then guns make more sense 😉
  13. This is SCARAB. A Blacktron racer created to compete against the Neo classic space lads in planetside tournaments. Aerodynamic, x-wing and with a deep-fusion emerald reactor powering it. Look out Benny, you're going down! The full album can be found here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72177720303274040 Thanks for looking :)
  14. Umm.. not sure if that’s a question or an exasperated gasp 😄.. but… I guess as long as he doesn’t do something dumb like lift that visor up then yeah, it’s for space. Though in universe, firstly, it’s meant to be a planetside racer. And it would win. Every. Single. Time.
  15. I have never, ever heard the term ‘holy noodle’ before. But I like it and will henceforth be using it profusely in my regular speech 😁
  16. Lol, thanks! so much power these engines would probably tear the whole thing apart tbh!
  17. Thanks, but isn't yellow and black a mainstay design feature of all Neo Classic Space craft? not just Galaxy Explorer. It's the bumblebee danger stripes they all have. I tend to push classic space a bit beyond what it's usually known as though which is why my bumblebee stripes take different forms to just the boring old 'yellow-black-yellow plate configuration'. My Manta Ray moc (found on my Flickr page) is a good example of this where I built the corners of the wings from yellow and black. It still remains unmistakably Classic Space but with a different take on the aesthetic.
  18. I’m not familiar with that piece but yeah, does look a bit like it.
  19. Thanks, yeah they needed double hinges to hold them on, even then it was touch and go. Pfft, this is Benny we're talking about. He eats Midi-chlorians for breakfast. Thanks, and good spot on the pod racing aesthetic. It was going to be a pod racer for a while but frankly it looked way funnier to stick the engines directly onto it so I rolled with that instead.
  20. This is NCS Shorty. With a pair of engines stripped from a supercruiser and bolted precariously to its sides, it's more engine than ship really. Benny's going to need balls of steel to pilot this thing! Full album: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72177720303004281 Or come find me on Instagram: @rubblemaker_lego Thanks for looking! :)
  21. Thanks! Matrix! Never thought of that but yes, there are some awesome looking tentacled things in those movies!
  22. Correct, foot for the nose, 2 more feet either side of the canopy and a head behind it. 😁
  23. Thanks! 😁👍
  24. Hah! I wouldn't blame you.
  25. A part biological, sentient combat vessel which can ensnare opponents in its frontal appendages or engage stealth mode by releasing a cloud of dark matter. Particularly fond of fighting space whales. Full album on my Flickr page here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72177720300739943 Or come find me on Instagram: @rubblemaker_lego
