Thanks :) And thanks! ๐

Yeah thatโs it. Two blue swivel hinges pushed into the technic panel holes. Good eye!
-
๐ and... have you figured out how I did it? ๐ (the connection of the technic panels to the regular pieces in the rear body?) ...well armoured and REALLY GOOD at clearing snow ๐
-
Lol. Pilot is facing the front. Computers are in front of him (he is bit recessed but his visor is clearly visible, I reckon he needs to have those computers to display what's going on in front of him) It has rocket engines at the back and a pointed nose at the front (fairly typical of delta shaped spaceship noses these days ๐) Thanks, I was unaware of that nexo piece until very recently. Needless to say, I bought about 10 of them! ๐
-
I have absolutely no idea what that means. ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ Cheers mate!

And more Rahkshi parts incoming in my next Bricklink order ๐ I love mixing bionicle with system elements. Thanks, wasnโt sure at first if the hinges just looked shit or not but I guess that technique worked alright in this case.

The spaceman has acquired some new, rather heavily armed, hardware. Full album here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72177720312792603 Or come find me on Instagram: @rubblemaker_lego Thanks for looking ๐

Thanks very much ๐ Wonโt be doing instructions for this no. Itโs a freestyle build and is built for looks rather than strength and stability and building it would be super frustrating for anyone and Iโd get a lot of angry builders shouting at me. ๐

โProngminentโโฆ ๐๐ love it. Thanks for the kind words and for the blog! ๐๐๐

Did Blacktron have trans red in it? Huh. I thought it was trans yellow only. Every days a school day so they say ๐ Mental note made to include some trans red in next Blacktron build! Thanks! ๐๐
-
It is, thanks for the ID on it. I knew it was Bionicle but couldn't place the set as I got it in a bulk buy. ๐๐
-
Thanks buddy. I'm the first to admit I was never into Classic Space and Blacktron first time round so I tend to create CS and Blacktron builds that appeal to my own aesthetic preferences. Interesting to learn that Blacktron are associated with angular ships though. I may explore that more in a future moc!

Here's my effort for a NoVVember build this year. A Blacktron themed Viper inspired by the Trident design. I think I met the criteria for a Vic Viper but if I didn't, well.. not much I can do about that now. ๐ Full album here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/164260086@N06/albums/72177720312726293 Or come find me on Instagram: @rubblemaker_lego Thanks for looking! :)

[MOC] Star Splitter: Classic Space Combiner/Transformer Spaceship Mech
Rubblemaker replied to danth's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Ball joints in general aren't the saviours I hoped they'd be. I just finished a mech using ball joints and thought I'd be able to pose it however I wanted but thanks to the restrictive sockets Lego make for them, it's movement is almost as restricted as if I was using clips. It's probably just me though and I need to study up on the best way to use them. My mech doesn't transform though.. I'm not that much of a masochist ๐- 16 replies

[MOC] EF76 NEBULON-B Escort Frigate - Midi Plus scale

Thanks, a few people whoโve built have actually put those UCS plaques on the stand! -
[MOC] EF76 NEBULON-B Escort Frigate - Midi Plus scale
Rubblemaker replied to Rubblemaker's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Iโm calling it midi plus but itโs probably closer to what many people would consider UCS than midi. Iโm not calling it UCS because of models such as the brickvault version by 2mpaired or Mortesvs moc of it which are bigger still and deserve the UCS Scale tag. Itโs actually longer and taller than the recent UCS Razor Crest (which is a truly gigantic model) but obviously much thinner. In all honesty, in Lego terms I donโt know how to class it. If you want it in numerical terms it is 1:357 scale. -
Iโm playing Below Zero at this very moment and I can confirm this moc is terrifyingly accurate!
-
That piece is absolutely perfect for the teeth at this scale. Nice parts usage. The way youโve tapered in the tail towards its tip is also really well done. Great job again!
-
Ahh!! Yes of course! ๐ Thanks! Yeah, I think I'm going to explore it more in future mocs. The robot was a lot of fun to do, but the scale it's at could definitely accommodate more detail.
