  1. Lego stickers are cut too short, frustrating. Wish they were cut more full size to fit the full smooth plate piece. I find myself preferring to put the stickers on at the end of the build so that I could align the stickers and “connect them” the graphics better.
  2. Smart kid!!!!! Get him on the design team. Add that with the livery helmets another suggested.
  3. Where’s the Swedish Easter egg flag in the Koenigsegg Jesko that people are mentioning? Can find it 😫
  4. At Lime Rock in Lakeville Connecticut as I type this, watching a C8.R live for the IMSA Northeast Grand Prix. New appreciation.
  5. I’m holding off to build the dragster last for the grand finale; will modify the engine to add some color.
  6. I was thinking the same thing. Maybe so people can see where the pieces go more easily?
  7. Well that’s good news, will have to keep an open mind when building it. just read this review: https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-speed-champions-76903-chevrolet-corvette-c8-r-race-car-and-1968-chevrolet-corvette-review/
  8. 6 stud cars are on one shelf, 8 studs on another. I’m waiting for someone to come out with a conversation kit to transform the 6s into 8s. 🧐
  9. The Vintage Corvette is lined up for me tomorrow. Many of us are eating crow around out initial impressions of the sets. The Supra still seems to be the weak link in the series, a good build but generally unrecognizable
  10. Built the Supra last night. Nice build overall, I don't like the seating arrangements in the interior. If it didn't have the Toyota and Supra stickers on it, would you even recognize the car? I left the inner headlight stickers off the build, so I only used the outside and middle stickers. I think it looks better.
  11. Purchased all six sets from Wal-Mart, at my door for $203. Build the McLaren Elva with my ten year-old daughter. Of the six sets, she picked the Elva because because "It's blue, blue is one of my favorite colors". Pros: The steering wheel is centered. The use of the red transparent axe head for the rear taillights are brilliant. The chrome headlights look good. The utensil posing stand is great holding the inboard computer and the set came with an extra one. Engine cover with red accents look great. The rear set with the diffuser, exhaust and curved pieces is beautiful. The new low profile tires are slick. Printed seat backs. Low front facia with nice curves. The modified 1x1 with grill accents the engine bay in a subtle but sleek and functional manner. Definitely a unique model Cons: The artwork on the box is a poor reflection of the model, makes the side of the car look like 2 x 2 slopes were used. Can't get used to the fact that there's no windshield on this model but that's the point.
  12. I do like the rear window on the Supra!!! I don’t recall seeing that on other SC cars.
  13. Agree that the Supra is the biggest disappointment overall. I’ll merge the outside headlight sticker with the middle one together so that they look one piece and omit the inside one. I think that’ll help. The rear of the C3 is too blocky. Wish it had more curves. Sometimes I like to leave the livery off but the C8 needs it. The Elva looks a bit too plane in the front. Wish the used darker blue bricks.
