  1. Per recent Lego Ideas update this week, looks like Lego will continue their evaluation of Stephanix' Anatomini model due to it's complexity.
  2. It's too bad that Lego decided not to produce the Anatomini, I was really hoping that the set would come to fruition. Aside from trying to build this on my own, I wish that another party would produce the set and sell it. Is the future bleak for Niks' Anatomini or is there still a sliver of hope? Would really display nice along my 3723-1: LEGO Mini-Figure. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a7687039-bb20-45f4-b8e4-11619720245c/official_comments#content_nav_tabs https://brickset.com/article/29513/anatomini-on-lego-ideas https://brickset.com/article/41969/ideas-showcase-anatomini
  3. Hi Daanski, I don't have an LDD file or Flickr site, but here are some previous links with more close up shots....
  4. After some reservations, loving the new 8-wides...
  5. After all the commotion, I'm beginning to love the new 8-wide vehicles...
  6. Wouldn’t it be great if someone sold conversion kits to bring the 6-wides to 8-wides!!!!!
  7. Simple mod to the Nissan GTR, wanted to make it more of a street version. Going into the 8-wide series, I am going to be consciousness about leaving off a lot of stickers unless it's a rally type or Nascar style vehicle that has much justified livery. I like clean looking cars.
  8. I loved my 6-wide collection of SC cars but now they seem to look "funny" now with the new series out. I am not looking to display the 8-wide cars next to the 6-wide cars, but in general all of a sudden the 6-wide cars look a bit silly to me. Someone used the word caricatures recently to describe them now. I'd have to agree. Can't get the thought out of my head, frustrating.
  9. I built the GTR last night. Fun to build. I think if you not have out the “peg” under the steering wheel and leave of the “slant tile”, you could slide over the steering wheel and center it. I can see too that the minifgure’s head hits the roof a bit. It really dwarfs the 6 stud cars. Was curious to see how it would fit in my Lego mechanic’s garage diorama....it barely fits on the Ferrari FXX K & Developp 75882. I would have to modify the platform to make it proper
  10. Ordered the Nissan and Audi on Wednesday morning, should arrive soon. Looking forward to see if I like them or not. Hope they fit well in my Lego garage diorama, I think they will (i.e. on the car lift, dyno machine, etc.). As a kid, I always wondered why they never made a two-seater; trying to keep an open mind about it. Change is tough sometimes, hopefully it's for the better.
  11. Like to purchase one of those 555 Impreza SC clones. I tried a quick search. Any links to purchase them?!
  12. Always loved this piece as a kid. Brick 1 x 2 with Lego Logo Closed O Style White with Black Outline Pattern. Always thought this piece to be super rare. Had it in the 80's. Certainly not the most valued pieced, but still treasure it today. Item No: 3004pb007
  13. OMG! Luv the Scooby. I’ll take one in 6 wide, 7 wide, 8 wide and 10 wide ?

  15. Just frustrating. You wait in suspense, feel let down. Hopefully the other cars pick the slack; especially the Nissan GTR. Unfortunately, not holding my breath.
  16. I agree. Urus look horrendous. Might just wait to by the Lambo separately on eBay. Let’s see how the sales go for 2020 and a few years thereafter. That should influence TLG decisions going forward. If sales are terrible, hopefully they’ll revert back to 6-wide before ending the SC series altogether.
  17. Am I the only one who doesn’t like the new Jaguar set? Especially the i-Pace car?
  18. I'll wait a year or two to come out for my full verdict. I like the 5 and 6 wide stud format but know that a high end car like the Lambo is low and wide so an 8 wide stud might do it more justice. I do see where others are coming from with their concerns, a traditional Lego building (i.e. garages, streets, other cars) fit the 6 stud format. I built a large garage diorama where I put my SC cars, it would accommodate the 8 stud cars I think. May I mix and match the old SC with the new? We'll see. Might look kind of cool having the new Lambo in my mechanics garage diorama next to the Mini Cooper.
  19. I do like those rumored prices if those are indeed the anticipated sets
  20. Haven't checked in awhile, 8 stud wide . Will have to see...
  21. I'm not all that impressed, too many similar looking Porsches let alone another white colored one...wish it was an all new vehicle or at least a 911 in some new wacky color like purple.
  22. I wish Speed Champions would come out with cooler chrome rims, something in the Cragar line for example. Although, that's been one of my favorite parts of my recent builds...modifying some wheels in my MOC and installing axles. https://www.cragarwheel.com/
  23. Spot on about the grill, should have taken a little more time to clean up the grill before using the silver grill paint. You have a link to the Brickstone tires you're referring to? I'd like to check it out.
  24. Thank you for the kind words. It's all Lego, including the roof and windscreen pieces except for the tires, rims, axles and chrome engine paint and I used a drill press to drill out the pieces where I needed the threaded axle rods to go through. I was also going to purchase a red grill but saw that they didn't make it, had to hit it with some red spray paint and Testers metallic paint. Had some inspirations from other MOC hot rods on the internet.
