I want a new Superman minifigure. We’ve had the same version for almost seven years now. I just want an update. The version shown in DC Super Villains looks really good, and if I could choose, I’d want the Rebirth suit. I also want a Jonathan Kent Superboy and comic version of Lois Lane, as well as, Jimmy Olsen. Basically, I want more Superman-related stuff. For other characters, I’d like Zatanna, a new Alfred, and a Batman inspired by either Arkham Asylum or the 70s suit in dark bluish grey.

The Best and Worst of 2018
Henry Bricklider replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My picks are really going to be limited to one theme as I only got Harry Potter sets this year (there really was not a whole lot I wanted from 2018 this year). Best Theme: Harry Potter/Wizarding World I was a massive fan of Harry Potter in 2009/2010, the same time the last wave of sets for the theme were produced. I owned every set from the first wave in 2010 and loved them a lot. When it was revealed that LEGO was bringing back the theme earlier this year I could not be more excited and my 9 year-old self was re-emerging. I love just about everything about the revival of this theme: the minifigures, the sets and the CMF series. I really don’t care for Fantastic Beasts, however. Best Minifigure/Figure: Harry (75954) While this probably is not the best minifigure in terms of printing, new molds or innovation (there are many others from this theme, specifically the CMF that do that), I believe that the Harry figure that appears in the Hogwarts Great Hall is the best representation of Harry Potter in minifigure form to date. I was immediately impressed by the new hair mold and printing. I think that is a perfect representation of the character. Plus, I like Harry Potter, what more can I say? Best Set: Hogwarts Great Hall (75954) For the record, 75955 Hogwarts Express is a close second for me. I think that the Great Hall is a perfect encapsulation of Harry Potter. It has the most iconic section of Hogwarts Castle, and has just about every important character, creature and prop one needs to recreate scenes from both the films and books. I also really like the build of the Great Hall. It is a massive upgrade from the previous version in 4842 Hogwarts Castle. It's just a great set. Worst Theme: Nexo Knights I'm sorry Nexo Knights. I really am. I wanted to like it. Heck, I liked the first wave of sets - especially the Fortrex - and it even got me to collect every Lance minifigure. But with every wave my interest in it really just fell off, and this last wave in 2018 was disappointing. The villain figures look cool I guess, but they really aren't a driving force to get me to pick these sets up. Even Lance's Hover Jouster was a set that I wouldn't care about getting, even if it meant not owning every Lance minifigure (which I guess really isn't a big achievement). Nexo Knights, you could have been great. You could have been Castle in space. But you weren't. I guess it is for the better that you're retiring. Worst Set: Snoke's Throne Room (75216) This set is not bad. The minifigures are cool and the build looks neat. However, what makes this set the worst is the price. $70 for 492 pieces. For the same price, I could get The 70643 Temple of Resurrection, which has 273 more pieces and two more figures, as well as, an arguably better build. I know that this is not an apt comparison, but for someone who does not always have a lot of money, I'm going to want to get the most for my money. 75216 is also what I hate about current Star Wars: overpriced sets not worth the money, which I think can be said about most Star Wars sets these days. Thanks Disney. Thanks a lot. Worst Minifigure/Figure: Wasp (76109) I don’t own this minifigure, but I gotta say, Wasp is pretty disappointing. The lack of leg printing and the reuse of the Iron Man helmet is lame. I feel bad for hardcore collectors of the Marvel Super Heroes line. LEGO has given the figures in those lines the shaft for a while. Most Anticipated for 2019: The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part I can not wait for both the movie and the sets. Almost all of the sets are fantastic and extremely innovative and fun. My favorite is Emmet’s Dream House/Rescue Rocket followed by Unikitty’s Sweetest Friends EVER! I’m also looking forward to Ninjago Legacy and Overwatch.- 57 replies

For me the ranking goes: 1. The LEGO Movie 2. The LEGO Batman Movie 3. The LEGO Ninjago Movie TLNM was not what I was expecting. The trailers had me sold but the film was disappointing. The Good Morning Ninjago segment was probably the worst part of the movie. I also did not like the “LOL so random humor” of things such as the ultimate ultimate weapon. As much as I love TLBM and how it appeals to me as a Batman and comic book fan, TLM has a charm and something about it that I don’t think can be recreated, except for maybe The LEGO Movie 2, I am really hoping that is better or just as good as TLM.

With the redesign of the Rebel Fleet Trooper in the 4+ TIE Fighter set, I really want a remake of the Tantive IV. I consider it a pretty iconic ship from the films and it will have been 10 years since the last time it got released.

I'm not really feeling this set. I like the color scheme but there is so much "empty" space where the gas pump is that could have been used. I guess I am not super disappointed I don't like this set, I really don't have any room for any more modulars. This and the Diner are misses for me.

(MOC) Medieval Market Village
Henry Bricklider replied to Henry Bricklider's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Heh. Thank you. I really liked the build of the Blacksmith's (the tan building) too. -
That makes sense to me. That’s a really awesome technique I did not know existed. Thank you for taking the time to render that to show me.

I’m glad you like it. I really appreciate you giving a reference photo. If I do go ahead and make a “basement” level then I will certainly utilize this. Thanks a bunch!

I wasn't planning on adding lights, but I might. I would very much appreciate if you did a quick MOC-up. I think I got the gist of it but a visual would help.

That’s a pretty good idea. Thanks!

Thanks leafan, Thanks. I didn’t think of it as a futuristic Mos Eisley, but since you mentioned, I can see it now and really like that. I too, like the Transport Truck. I might consider putting a layer below the city, it might be difficult considering the main build is built on base plates. Thanks for taking the time to check out my MOC.

Hello everyone, I would like to present to you my Cyberpunk City MOC inspired by Ninjago City and envisioned after going to a local LEGO convention. I don’t have a cool name for the city yet. I would like to get this MOC finished by next summer. The buildings are modular-esque. The buildings currently include a grocery store, a garage, a Chinese restaurant, a police station and an ice cream parlor. I am not yet sure what other buildings I’ll put in this MOC. The police station is going to be two stories and I’ll have a second story of shops above the section with the ice cream parlor. I am also not focusing on making interiors for these buildings even if there are some details inside. The next part of this MOC is a police cruiser. It is a modified version of the police car in 70802 Bad Cop’s Pursuit with swapped parts and substitutions. The second vehicle build in this MOC is a transport truck. It is a heavily modified version of 7686 Helicopter Transporter. I am planning on adding a trailer of some sort to it. That is all I have got so far. I hope you enjoy the progress so far. I have had a good time working on this MOC for the least few months and can’t wait to keep working on it. Also, @leafan because he wanted to see this.

(MOC) Medieval Market Village
Henry Bricklider replied to Henry Bricklider's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thank you, that means a lot. I’m going to try and find the other photos I took of the build (maybe they’re of better quality). -
Several years ago I was on Castle kick and bought some classic castle minifigures. I also decided I wanted to build a remastered version of the Medieval Market village. I apologize for the poor quality photo (I was not very good at photography) but I hope you enjoy this MOC as much as I enjoyed building it years ago. @leafan because he said he wanted to see my MOCs

Yikes. That’s too much for that set, especially since I have the intention of building a small army of rebel troopers. I might just get multiple rebels on Bricklink and get just one copy of the set. -
With the personally anticipated remake of the rebel fleet trooper in the 4+ TIE Fighter set I really want a remake of Captain Antilles to lead a squad of troopers. I also want a remake of the Yavin IV celebration Luke that uses the medal mold so we can have an EU comics Luke.

LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Henry Bricklider replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Just saw the TIE Fighter. I’m disappointed. The only saving grace is the rebel trooper which I had been hoping LEGO would remake for a while. The side build is kind of nice. I hope the set isn’t more than $20 (it really looks like a $10 set) so I can build an army of rebel troopers. -

I really like the Monastery of Spinjitsu and the Golden Dragon is fine (the minifigures are great); they’re both must-buys for me. I wish that there was an interior for the monastery and Wyplash, as well as, the other skeletons in the other sets look really strange with regular skeleton legs. However, as someone who really wasn’t into Ninjago in its early run, I overall am pretty pleased with these legacy sets.

Hello Leafan, thank you for the welcome. I am currently working on a Cyberpunk City inspired by Ninjago City. I'll have to post some of the progress at some point. I'm not sure where to post it though. -
Hello everyone, my name is Henry Bricklider, I am a TFOL, almost an AFOL, and have been a fan of LEGO for about 10-11 years. The big draw to LEGO for me when I was younger were liscened themes such as Harry Potter, Star Wars, Batman, LotR and Indiana Jones (they’re still great). I was on MOCpages for a short while in 2012, posting creations I built. It was about then that I began to take up MOCing. Most of my MOCs are personal projects that most of the time end up unfinished. Whether I finish a project or not I find MOCing to be a lot of fun and relaxing. Because I am the only avid LEGO fan amongst my friend group, I have always looked into LEGO communities, however, never becoming an active member of them. That changed about two years ago when I started my YouTube channel, Henry Bricklider, and began posting LEGO reviews of sets and minifigures in hopes of building a community.... That is not very easy. However, I am hoping to be able to become a part of the Eurobricks community and meet other LEGO fans. Thank you for taking the time to read this, Henry Bricklider
