Nice, what have you built? Grindlewald’s escape is great to use the build as Hogwarts Carriages -

I get what you mean. The builds are so universal they work for any book/movie and scene. I currently have a book 3/4 display going on. This is hands down the best Harry Potter has been and it has solidified itself as probably my favorite theme of all time. -

The Hogwarts Express is the best to get first. It is a great build and a really good display piece. It was probably my favorite set of 2018. -

Harry Potter 2019 - Rumors & discussion
Henry Bricklider replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Really? Darn... I didn’t want to have to wait till August. I guess it gives me time to save up. -
I want My Hero Academia. It is probably extremely unlikely but it could be a really fun theme and could be doable under LEGO's current standards. Characters with overtly sexual costumes like Yaoyorozu and can be represented by having her simply wear her UA uniform and Lady Midnight can simply be omitted from the line. I already have been brainstorming ideas for it, even if it is extremely unlikely.

I am really looking forward to the minifigure pack, mostly just for Clutch Powers. I remember when I first saw the movie and wanting a minifigure representation of the titular character. I quite like this minifigure and can’t wait to add it to my collection. I also like the inclusion of one figure from each of the enemy factions, and while it is weird Kai is using his Legacy uniform, I don’t mind as I don’t have that figure. Is it safe to assume this will be a LEGO Shop exclusive like the Knightmare Batman?

Harry Potter 2019 - Rumors & discussion
Henry Bricklider replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think I will be okay if there are only two more waves of Harry Potter and then it comes to an end. I don’t want this to be a Star Wars or Super Heroes situation where I just become absolutely burned out. The revival of the Harry Potter theme was very special last year and I am so glad that LEGO has put the time and money into making this a wonderful theme; and I hope that, if your guess is correct, that the next two waves are just as solid as this year’s and the last. On the topic of the sets themselves, I think that the terrain in front of Tom Riddle’s grave in The Rise of Voldemort looks kind of messy. I think that I might MOC a new base and, like many others on the forums have suggested, combine the Hidden Side Graveyard with this one. I’ve been working out in my head what sets I want to get first in the line and I think I figured it out: 75945, 75947 and 75965. Later down the road really I want to pick up 75948, 75958, and 75964. -

I am so impressed with these sets! It was also a very nice surprise when I came home today. I received the 2005 Graveyard Duel set for Christmas many years ago and I am so excited that they have remade it. The Graveyard Duel is one of my favorite scenes in both the book and movie, and to make things even better, it’s $20! The Beauxbatons Carriage looks very nice as well. Once again, LEGO makes me so happy by giving wonderful sets for my favorite LEGO theme of all time. However, my wallet is going to hurt. -
Trolls World Tour 2019 - Rumors & Discussion
Henry Bricklider replied to leafan's topic in LEGO Licensed
Okay, the prospect of getting colorful vegetation pieces and unique hairpieces sways me a little. I hadn’t even thought about the parts and potential for MOCing. I’m a little more okay with this, if they do that. -

So is this going to be The Angry Birds Movie theme all over again? Really not interested in this. My opinion on LEGO’s Licensed Themes only continues to become more muddy with themes like this. -
(MOC) Medieval Market Village
Henry Bricklider replied to Henry Bricklider's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Unfortunately, no. I was much younger when I built this and not only were my photography skills poor, but so was my documentation of my MOCs. I’ll try and look for some of the other photos I took, but I can’t guarantee they’re of better quality. -

Great, I can’t wait for Elsa and Anna’s hairpieces to be as gross and worn out at Saruman’s hairpiece and 2010 Dobby’s head.- 961 replies

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion
Henry Bricklider replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
I do not really like the way they feel and I am afraid they will easily collect dust and stuff. Elsa already had some dust/grime on it. Anna’s hairpiece also looks a little too big for her head. It isn’t the end of the world, I just would prefer they were plastic.- 961 replies

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion
Henry Bricklider replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
After searching for 4 days at the stores around me, I finally found the series at my GameStop. I got Hercules, Hades, Anna and Elsa. I am really pleased with all of them. I am slightly bothered by Anna and Elsa’s hairpieces being rubber, though.- 961 replies

Harry Potter 2019 - Rumors & discussion

This is probably irrelevant to the current discussion, but I am planning on placing the Clocktower the right of the whomping willow build. The lack of any tall towers in that direction kind of bothers for some odd reason. -

Seeing these images leaked was an awesome treat when I came home from school today. Here’s my take: Expecto Patronum is great, I’ve kind of already said my bit on it. I like the trees and the minifigure selection is great. Instant buy. The Knight Bus, while I think is a good build, is not one I am planning on picking up at all. I’ve never been a huge fan of it. It looks nice, and I think it’s a big improvement over the previous iterations of it. Hagrid’s Hut: Buckbeak’s Escape is wonderful! It is a day one buy for me. The exterior of the build is great, easily the best Hagrid’s Hut we have gotten. The fact that the set is a facade does not really bother me. I like the minifigure selection and I am glad we get the trio all together. Fudge and Macnair are also good additions. I also really like Buckbeak and the pumpkin patch is solid. Again, instant buy. Hungarian Horntail Triwizard Challenge is meh. It’s not bad, but not great either. I think the Horntail looks fine, and I can’t say anything for the inaccuracies it may have. The tent looks fine, I don’t really know what to say about it. I like the minifigures but they are not worth buying this set at full price. It’s a pass for me, at least until it’s on sale. Last, but certainly not least: Hogwarts Clock Tower. This looks really good. I don’t think it is as impressive as the Great Hall was, but it is certainly a wonderful addition to Hogwarts Castle and I can’t wait to display it with the rest of my display. I like the minifigure selection and the additional accessories such as the Christmas tree and the snow/ice help capture the look of the Yule Ball. It will be very easy to make the castle Christmas themed with this build. Overall, I am pleased with this wave. I am kind of glad that I’m not thrilled with the Knight Bus and the Triwizard Challenge. It means I can save some money. I hope the Graveyard Duel rumor is true because I will be without a doubt picking that one up too. Thank you LEGO for giving us another solid wave of my favorite licensed theme. -
That looks pretty good.
-
That’s another good idea. I’ll have to get a Finn minifigure but I would like to try it out. Thank you for the suggestion.
-
Huh, I didn’t think about that. I’ll have to give it a shot, thanks.
-
Do any of you have suggestions for torsos to make a purist Shadows of the Empire Luke?
-
Some figures I would like: Yavin IV Ceremony Luke (with removable medal) RotJ Jedi Knight Luke (Jabba’s Palace/sail barge attire) I can’t think of any more at the moment. I guess I really just want more Luke Skywalker minifigures. Oh, I almost forgot: Rebel Friend (I would legitimately like this figure).
