Nico71's Creations
Jundis replied to nico71's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think you got no comments on this beauty because everybody was just speechless at the level of perfection you achieved :D -
Great MOCs of iconic tractors! Have you tested the tracked version of the JohnDeere in Bricks? I'd love to see a video of this machine :-)

2025 Technic Sets Discussion
Jundis replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'd pay good money just to sit in the brainstorming-meeting which is held between the designers and CEOs of Lego, when they decide for the new models. Designers: "Hey there are cool excavators from Volvo, can we do those?" CEOs/Managers: "You mean there are multiple excavators...? Just like multiple cars...?" Designers: "Well sure, but I think one excavator in a years line-up is sufficient..." CEOs/Mangers: "Very good! We make 2 exvatacors this year! Both from Volvo!" Designers: "Really...? Whatever, at least anything else but cars...." -

I have a Buwizz3, but no motors for it. Maybe I will get some in the future :-) With this smaller battery box, it would have been way easier to shape the front and also put motors in. -

Completely missed the new ball joint parts! That ball socked 3 studs in length was so needed for narrow front axles! -
2025 Technic Sets Discussion
Jundis replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Would be strange in my opinion. Switching from drive-mode (1 motor per track) to work-mode is maybe feasable. But for the action we would need: - turntable action - main boom - second stage boom - gripper actuation + maybe gripper tilt If this comes with a wrecking ball instead, it would be sufficient, but I wouldn't call it an excavator then... -

Ah I just re-read the last pages with this rumour from Nuremberg. Hmm kind of uninspiring actually, as we had the 42144. 42146 and an excavator in the 42175. This seem super expensive again, even when it's all electric... -

The only things left unknown are these, right? - 42214 TBC $179.99 - 42215 TBC 2359 pcs 18+ Plz, Lego let them be anything but cars! *Edit: The "18+" addition on the 42215 is highly likely added to a car or bike... *Edit of the edit: @Ngoc Nguyen proved me wrong :D -

Thank you guys! Sadly, the black discs aren't visible that much :D In the upcoming video, I will include a shot from underneath. -

What a cutie! Now it's easier to ask which Mog-MOCs you haven't done ;-) -
[MOC] Claas Cougar 1400
Jundis replied to Jundis's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks, guys! It actually would have been very hard to implement 4 motors (drive, steering, mowing action and folding) but not impossible ;-) While building, I really thought about it, but it would require some of the small angular motors, which are rare and very pricy. -
Skid steer loader

Very clever MOC and great functionality in such a tiny scale! -

Jundis replied to Jundis's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi Guys and Gals, finally the last parts arrived in the right colour and I'd like to show the model in its final form. Hopefully I find time next week to make a video of the MOC and show its functions. With 1750 parts I landed a bit over my estimated 1500 from the beginning :D The functions now work really smooth with nearly no clicking. She stabiliser with the gear rack for fixing the cab in front/back position was the best addition to make. The panel work for the engine hood was my final boss here and took many hours of trying, rebuilding over and over again, but now I am quite satisfied. There are some small design flaws I can't wrap my head around, for example the seat of the cabin (which is way to small due to the steering axle going throug) or the ladders (where I couldn't find a satisfying solution for the curved underside as wheel arches) . Still, I am more than happy how this turned out. -
Tatra kolos trial 2025

Impressive model, Jorge, especially in this "small" size, at least for typical models with Tatra suspension. Love the clean look of the underside! -

The upper right part is so useful for small tractor front axles, hopefully we seem them soon in upcoming sets! *hyped*- 5,507 replies

42177 Unimog 437 Snow Plow
Jundis replied to M_longer's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Just incredible. Really lost for words. I am sure @grohl is smiling too, when he looked at this ;-) -
Lego could go for a 3000+ piece RC set with this. We would have 2 HUBs, one in the drive unit and one in the superstructure. Drive unit with 1 motor for drive, 1 for steering, 1 for the turntable and 1 for outriggers. Superstructure with 1 motor for winch, 1 for 2 stage boom extension, 1 for boom+cabin elevation and 1 for the extension of the cabin with a gear rack.

Aside from a backhoe, which I'd really love to see, there should also be a mobile crane, where we had plenty of in 90s, 00s and 10s, but not so many in past years. With the Audi tires and a 3 axle setup, there are very cool ones available e.g. Liebherr LTC 1050, which would also fit in the "electric" category like the excavator from the 42175 or the upcoming Volvo L120 Electric Loader. Again, a real tractor and trailer/attachment (I don't care if JD/Claas or without IP) is a must for me. The Xerion came out nearly 10 years from now.

Brainstorming TC28
Jundis replied to JoKo's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
- Drum kit - Jigsaw - Medivel Printing Press - Mechanical Calculator - Complex lock mechanism This was always on my mind for so long, even before the contest, especially as I work in this field. But the problem is the track path below the bobbins, which is really hard to replicate with lego. There are some working machines made with bricks, but I hesitate to even try :D -
[MOC] Claas Cougar 1400
Jundis replied to Jundis's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I changed the pic, but the original is not perfectly from the side, so it looks longer. Maybe I put the lime 1x5 curved back 1/2 stud. As there is a 2 colour scheme, i could not use the long 3x11 panel. Connectors look to sharp, I tried em :-/
