The function switch in the cabin (!) is really cool :-) Did you think of some kind of locking system for the articulated steering? Another idea for the design: Could you fit in the small 3x3 panel right behind the rear wheels insteat of the combination of connectors? The new wheels look way better here in my opinion, can't wait to get my hands on them :-P

A yellow Corvette C8 Convertable would be my favorite, although it is not a new model... -

I hope the voting systems won't be more complex than the rules :D -

In polybag size, I think we only get one arm movement left/right. Mentioning polybags: Such a micro-TC would be so cool. It must happening completely unexpected, though only 2 weeks of time, not 2 months :D -

This I find very strange. At least for me, voting is always a cool thing as you really have to look into the details of the model. This could easily take an hour. Did we really have such few votes last time? -

I really dig the front with the combination of transparent bionicle teeth and the panel above! -

Exactly my thoughts. I see myself more in the RC group, never been that interested in coding. Surely this would be the more attracting TC. Maybe even then get a rule to include at least 1 mechanism appart from driving and steering, or we will see many 2 and 3 motored vehicles I guess. :D Even in normal cars, a lifting spoiler, convertable action or suspension change would make it more interesting from a technical perspective. -

You're right. I just saw Jims facepalm when Control+ got mentioned, so I was triggered :D -

Not a new idea, but did we do a Control+ only TC? I know the new electronics are not that welcomed by most of us, but maybe we can promote them a little with a future contest? To not make this a pay2win, maybe online 1 standard control+ hub allowed and max of 4 motors. But built the model as you wish? -

I'd love to have something which is in scale and compatable to one another! Lego did this earlier in some star wars sets I think... -

Just did a sketch and I think the 42168 John Deere will have the medium (81 mm) and small (56 mm) tractor tire. Even though the steering wheels are smaller than the original, it will work and the 559 parts will be enough. My Volvo LM 841 has the same config and only 460 pieces, while having a longer wheelbase and is 2 studs wider. -

Absolutely insane built. Hope this will be at least at podium! :-) -
Wheels look so good! Also nice you squeezed in the 12 cylinder fake motor. The bucket actuation looks strange, but geometry works really well it seems :-)

[TC25] Truck 8436
Jundis replied to Jundis's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That's right, I wouldn't built it in this way if I designed it from ground up. Haven't any car in that scale at hand to test it. Would maybe only work with a the 42122, but these front tire are too thick :D -
[TC25] Truck 8436
Jundis replied to Jundis's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks guys :-) Second attachment is ready. I now go with small and medium sized cylinder and will try so with alle the other attachments. Small cylinders are way to weak to lift even a crane arm, let alone this wheel lift. I tried to simplify all the connections, but included a small turntable, which imho fits better than the wobbly pin-connection. Also attached an 12t gear with a friction pin to keep in upright when in upper position (first and second pic). Also the cab was change, black part in the back now with half beams to closer match the look of the original. The routing of the hoses is always a challenge in smaller models. Maybe I'll redo them. What do you guys think: On the upper side like in the real 8436 or under the arm?
