LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Renny The Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
No chance, they made too overpriced sets that didn't seem to sell well and the show doesn't appear to have made much of an impact outside of existing Clone Wars fans. I think the only chance of them doing something else from the show is for the 30th anniversary or a book or something doing an Imperial Cody figure given how LEGO seems to treat him now -
The other extreme for that last part, he's repeatedly referenced being a boomer, I assume that not being used to conducting himself online is a part in why he was the way he was. Could be wrong here but didn't a mod say it was homophobia that got him banned or am I misremembering He's very plentiful and affordable, order him from bricklink and you can play a little game on if you get the original version of the fig or the slightly altered LEGO House version What did he get banned for?

Regardless of what happens I'm glad we had this thread. Just think about it, for years I was the only person who particularly invested in the Demolition Dummy as a character. Absolutely one of my most niche hyperfixations, now there's about half a dozen people here whose proverbial ears will perk up if he shows up in any LEGO media in future. (My work isn't complete until he gets a plush toy though, he absolutely deserves one given how much stuff he appears in) And likewise I now to some extent care about Mara Jade as even though I likely will never read anything with her in it she is now one of like 4 Star Wars characters I have any sort of attachment to purely because of our lore

Dc Superheroes Wishlist Year 1 [Digital MOCs]
Renny The Spaceman replied to Agent Kallus's topic in LEGO Licensed
Oh yeah, I completely forgot to mention the Daleks Yellow Lantern when I say this, love that. All the Paradigm just got bored of the Doctor Who format and went to different series is exactly what happened to them, that is canon now and can't be changed -
Okay, live action time, probably gonna be great. Let's go over what these could be. Option one, the most obvious, just full live-action adaptations of LEGO themes, the Ninjago one will almost certainly be this from how the Hagemans are talking. This probably won't be all of them though because this idea simply doesn't work without using an already popular theme and I doubt many of the writers and directors hired would want to write a film based on a toyline they never heard of. Option 2 is the premise of "The missing piece" assuming Jake Kasdan has kept the bulk of that script it's a rip-off of the Playmobil movie where the first act is siblings in the real world, they get sucked into the LEGO world which, hopefully, would be animated then it stays animated until they leave the LEGO world at the end. But they'd probably describe this as a live-action/CG hybrid, did anyone call the Playmobil movie live action? So it's more likely when they get sucked in it'll look like the Minecraft movie. Option 3 is something like the Smurfs, where the LEGO characters enter a portal into the real world and befriend a human, this is plausible as it's a formula used to this day. Option 4 is that it's something like Small Soldiers where LEGO toys come to life and go on an adventure in the human world. And I think the final option for a live action film would be a docudrama about some part of LEGO's history, probably won't be though if we're honest. So what do you all think, how do you think they'll do a live-action LEGO movie is gonna work?

Yeah, he's not gonna help himself much It was inevitable as soon as we stopped debating it, I'll be honest more likely than not he didn't get reported, he was going to get noticed eventually once we all started calling him turtle and he stopped feigning ignorance. He'll probably try again eventually, maybe he'll just start posting the opposite of what he thinks to try shirk suspicion Realistically it's never going to formally die, unless DC stuff gets so popular we become outnumbered as the regular posters here, already when sets get revealed or rumoured we'll discuss them in earnest for a page or two with the occasional injokes thrown in. We're never gonna stop joking about all our dumb bits unless people start kicking up such a fuss that the mention of Turtles or Dummies gets a ban. We'll probably just slowly start having longer gaps between inventing new bits if DC sets become a more fulfilling line until all of us eventually stop using the site. Or who knows, maybe if we stay true our insanity shall live on forever, lighting up the sky's above everyone who uses this site, like a bright kryptonite

Everything Star Wars [SPOILERS]
Renny The Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in Culture & Multimedia
When's that Detours show coming out, really excited for that, the one star wars thing I might choose to watch -
Maybe just because the Bat is kinda generic looking, this could be megablocks but I think maybe the thought process is that the Tumbler sells best so they do that semi regularly, but they don't want to ever do a larger wave of TDK trilogy sets as they might not sell well enough to justify any more than the amount they do and by the time that a few years have passed and they wanna take a stab at sets from those films again they just go for the Tumbler again as it's been discontinued for a few years by then

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Renny The Spaceman replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Does this mean said castle's king repeatedly flew on Ronin's airship? -
True true, I've joked about Jay (kinda makes sense with him he's both a gamer and had an arc where he got into reading pick up artist books) before but I completely forgot Cole had a brief interest too. This is why the Ninjago movie continuity is superior, no nonces. One throwaway line and half the cast should not be allowed within 30 feet of a school zone. Hell it kinda makes all the characters horrible as only Kai ever tries to stop people hitting on Nya As for Turtle starting the war, he didn't (well I guess outside of the broad point of him avoiding a ban) but his execution can at any point be called off if before the given time on monday he calls for a poll or pleads guilty to ban avoidance which, given the former are such easy terms it's on him if he dies He will die unless he meets the terms, this is canon and nothing can be done about it

Okay, I'm stealing this from someone else I saw point this out but it's kinda hilarious how a single line screwed them over so much. Something to keep in mind is when the 4th, 5th and 6th seasons were made the Ninjas had no canonical age other than Nya being two to three years younger than Kai BUT since those seasons the Hagemans made the ninja canonically "mature teenagers" in Hunted. If we push this to the absolute limit and say that by then the main 4 Ninja are 19 and Nya is 17 or 16 post the one year SoG time skip. Now there are many other implied time skips but if we're being the most generous we can possibly be here we'll assume the entirety of the pilots to series 7 takes place over one year where the Ninja and Nya are 18 and 16 to 15 respectively then issues come about (keep in mind this is us being way too generous, if this wasn't a factor no one would assume the characters are this old, there's at least a year long time skips between Day of the Departed and it's Epilogue and Series 3 and Rebooted, probably Rebooted and Tournament too). Obviously then Nadakhan was courting a child bride and brainwashed her to marry him, he'd definitely get a visit from Hansen. Ronin is shown to plan to kiss Nya in that future telling sword in series 5, that's a firm no no as he's an obvious grown megablocks man. And with the master of nature, if we take into account the one or both of the time skips that we discounted to be kind earlier, then the SECOND that the gong went off in the tournament he was in Jay's bathroom, so he had to have been going there already, I don't think there's a good reason for a grown megablocks man with a beard to walk into a 16 year olds bathroom. I mean Turtle can easily call it off, honestly if he does it's on him
