  1. We talked about it before, we agreed on willpower as the way almost all character descriptions describe him as having unwavering dedication to taking things apart with nothing being able to stop him. I think that's speaks to an unbreakable will. He's not apathy as he's shown to have quite exaggerated emotions whenever he's made sad, angry or happy I suppose we could argue in the context of the aslume he's hope though
  2. A very fair point, we've all assumed it was discontinued in that way due to how the CMF went out of it's way to avoid it. I don't know if they'd be willing to make any new parts for it though even if it's soft retired, I imagine everything on bricks and pieces is old stock
  3. I think a GWP seems very likely, they've not done a retro redux one this year and I doubt they'd stop doing it permanently. They have the torso print already after all. I doubt they'll care about shifting to trans-bright green, after all they didn't swear off doing CS due to not being able to use classic light grey
  4. Nah, i'll just thug it out, if they're bringing their dorky younger brother faction they've gotta be desperate
  5. Not in the movie though, it's bloody massive in that innit?
  6. But assuming we only get ten figures that wouldn't be ideal. Batman and Joker are guaranteed, Mr Freeze is very likely as we just got him and Batgirl is also plausible. That would leave six slots, at least one will have to be an Arkham guard, almost certainly Harley/Harleen will be included. I think, while plausible, I'd hope if we get any of those types of characters then the fig count will be higher than ten
  7. I know, I get that, we'll almost certaintly get that colour eventually. I just think it has nothing to do with the vote
  8. I know it is but I don't think it's hinting at a different colour just because one of our options is also a type of light blue, if it was hinting at an Azure Space fig I think the print would be that colour. I think it's just like when lego did that ad with a bunch of people in CS outfits in like 2018 I don't think that was them hinting at any of the then unreleased colours they made later, that it's one of the many colours they're planning on doing eventually
  9. Could very well get that depending on how many new prints they're willing to do, it's plausible as it's probably her more popular look now but I could see them just keeping her light nougat to justiy giving her a reused face
  10. First of all, Doctor Who isn't partially owned by disney they only have distribution rights, they don't own it. But doesn't that make my point for me? Being partially owned by an evil multinational corporation makes you american? Like there's no shared sense of identity here as these characters are pushed everywhere, america controls the media landscape and when america is everywhere it doesn't feel american. Also tf are the toy story toys meant to do? They don't even really abide by cartoon logic like the Looney tunes I think these 3 examples, plus the Iron-giant from Murdoch are better shouts than the rest but still it's not the same, you know? I think a big part of it is probably how pretty much every British thing we mentioned were publicly funded and available in every household with a TV, it's why the "superheroes are modern mythology" thing kinda makes me cringe I don't really think things can be mythology when their owned by a corporation. when every decision they make comes from focus testing and such. That said I don't think any of the British things I mentioned (bar the works of Tolkien) are "Mythology" but there's a sense of national identity to them there isn't with most american ones listed. You know, if you give a list of "Banana Man, Mr Bean, Worzell Gummage" it's funny as these are dumb hyper specific characters, if people start going "deadpool, Superman, Ben 10" it kind feels like people are taking a dumb gag argument to seriously and genuinely trying to powerscale. Also it just feels a little too reddit for my blood But also the nationality point is kinda key here, anyone can put on the accent and be an American character, it's sacrilege for any other cultural character I think this comes in part from how some of what's considered "American" really isn't in any key way Given past scenarios I don't doubt if it's comic based there'll be plenty of Arkham game references Lmao, good point, we're not far behind though, if Labour keeps on doing nothing we might end up in the same boat with Farage as our PM. He did far too well in our last election for us to be wagging our finger at the Americans. Though TBF as horrible as Farage is he's like 0.7 less comically evil than Trump, last I checked he wasn't on TV talking about how his building was now the tallest one in New York again AS 9/11 was happening. Still very dumb and very evil, but slightly less cartoonish in it maybe We made James Corden though so it evens out Also can't ignore Tolkien there, his intent was middle earth was our earth back in the day, all his Middle Earth works are supposed to be translations of books Bilbo, Frodo, Sam and Sam's daughter wrote. The original idea was that places like the Shire were around in England back in the day but lost to time (though the Hobbit book clarifies Hobbits are still around if you look hard enough) so we very much get that one Doesn't matter though as Iceland clears every nation on earth since they have Sportacus
  11. I mean he doesn't, he's pretty routinely outwitted by children, I think most reality warper or trickster characters could easily beat him. And Harry Hill still solos Anyways it's not really fun doing this with American characters, your media is too generalised and global, it has no real national identity on it's own because it's spread to broadly over the planet, if someone thinks America will they think any of the characters you listed? No, definitely not in the same way Mr Bean or Doctor Who is British it kinda winds up feeling kinda like you might as well say any character, kinda underwhelming. Like you'd have to zoom in onto classic Americana stuff to really get the same vibe as British, or Canadian, or whatever characters as a whole have. Like no-one cares if Spider-Man or whoever is played by a Brit because American media is so commercialised in every corner of the globe that it's more often seen as an absence of any real national identity, it's the norm, but if you had an American doing a British accent as Doctor who, or Paddington it'd be widely reviled I can't keep track of these leakers anymore, just believe what's the dumbest course of action and hope to be wrong Someone seems like he's disappointed in the cooking of the duck meat
  12. Eh, Harry Hill solos Who knows, maybe that was the secret ingredient in Pertwee's Burgers
  13. I think that's what'll happen Wouldn't be the worst option, I don't think this sticker is hinting at that though as it's a different colour
  14. They released a midrange grey slab twice!
  15. True true, we shouldn't brush over a certain someone's potential connection to Brickheadz Joker, what are the odds that (given our archenemy is BJ) we have a secret sith AND someone who likes Brickheadz in the forum at the same time? More than one person be fond of a toyline that lasted almost a decade? Unlikely, I need to hear a better defence from him than a deflection he immediately undercut But he'd get it anyways from Worzel Gummage, he'd drown all his enemies in his Worzel Cummage
  16. Yeah, almost certainty, with Elon Musk being a member of his cabinet there's no way in hell any AI regulation is gonna get passed, oh well I'm sure it's worth it just so scammers and content mills don't even need to go to the effort of stealing art anymore
  17. Oh my god you're right, all this time we spent think turtle is the mastermind, but no, Kallus is the real Brickheadz Joker
  18. it would be so funny if all this hope was a false alarm and LEGO DC is gonna be back in the gutter shortly
  19. That's a reductive way of looking at it, LEGO's modern aesthetic isn't inherently better because it looks less like it's made of bricks. Wouldn't think people would still view it that way in a post Slugger world, they're unlikely to ever go back to that aesthetic outside of occasional throwback sets marrying the best of old school aesthetics and modern engineering (Like the Galaxy Explorer redux) and it'd make no financial sense too but this isn't a pure nostalgia thing, that aesthetic is more timeless and charming, the classic green dragon still holds up today but if I look at Ninjago dragons from 2016 they look like robots compared to modern ones. This isn't a progress thing, it's a fundamentally different aesthetic with different benefits and drawbacks
  20. God the new monkeys are so lame, new dragons are cool even if they're not as charming as the OG so bringing that piece back is a funny joke, bringing back the old monkey is something that wars should be fought over, it's such a baller piece and the new one just isn't up to the task of replacing it. The new monkey looks like it'd have a "pop culture podcast" and several allegations the classic one would offer you a refreshing cup of banana milkshake on a hot day
  21. But how would they do a figure of him, we have no idea who he is :P Which is why they'll do exactly that! I mean they weren't willing to do unique prints for all the figures in the endgame wave, if one is in an orange jumpsuit I think at least half will reuse that torso (perhaps even being the inverse where there's only one figure not dressed like that) This all depends on source material though, if it's based off BTAS the. I think there's a real chance of them all having their proper costumes as that's 5 figures already done.i Though with comics I suppose it is almost the same amount with us having 4 currently in production, given how Mr Freeze refuses the BTAS head it COULD mean some budget is saved by using existing prints from the non comic DC sets on shelves but that really only gets us a potential completely reused Harley, Two Face's head and MAYBE shadow box Penguin's one too. As both the Burton and BTAS Catwoman seem far to specific to their media to be used for a general comics set. Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky here though
  22. Ditto, hope this one gets made
  23. I think it just feels so timeless in it's design, like it can be on a shelve with LEGO sets of any era and look great
