    Which set are you referring to? I don't recall any solid confirmation of a PotC D2C set, or even any serious rumors beyond a hope for a Flying Dutchman set. Orthanc seems like a much stronger possibility, however, since we already have a set number and confirmation from several insiders.

    I don't recall hearing this anywhere, but just to clarify: have there been any rumors of an Iron Man 3 or Man of Steel retailer exclusive set? As it stands now, the summer Superheroes wave will be quite affordable. Which isn't a bad thing, by any means.

    Hm....it's a great looking model, but I think I'll have to give it a pass. There's way too much other stuff coming down the pipeline, and the recent System-scale X-Wing looks just fine sitting on my shelf. Of course, if there's a killer discount on it someday I might cave.

    Thanks for sharing, BrickieB!! I was fortunate enough to be among the first that attempted to Bricklink 10179, about a year and a half or so ago, and got most of the rare parts for decent prices (and Lego was kind enough to send me an original sticker sheet!). It was definitely the most work that I've ever put into obtaining a Lego set, but it was so much fun!

    Actually, that's not completely true. The Gollum minifigure in Riddles for the Ring is unique, and unless you can track down the Frodo polybag it's the only other way to get that minifig.

    Hm....I have mixed feelings about the UCS X-Wing. On one hand, I missed the first one and will probably pick this one up if I can afford it. It's definitely a big improvement over the first iteration. On the other hand, I agree that this marks a change in what constitutes a UCS set. Does it mean that something won't ever be released again? Obviously the answer is now "no".

    Since it looks like my most-wanted Lego theme will probably never happen now, I went ahead and placed an order on Bricklink for a few Dinos and some "Jurassic Park"-esque elements. Looks like I'll be MOCing my own JP theme sometime in the future.

    A Stan Lee minifig would be an absolute stroke of genius. Unless, of course, it was released as an impossibly rare convention exclusive....

    ^ It's highly unlikely that we'll be getting any new Hoth stuff, let alone an Echo Base set (which is still available at TRU), for a while. And I prefer it that way, actually. Hoth has been beaten to death the past few years.

    I agree. I'll really have to like the ship in the Yoda Chronicles, or else I'll just end up waiting for a clearance deal.

    Those dual-side capes are fantastic! I'm glad Lego paid attention to the details like that. I agree with with previous commentst that the eagle is too small; if it were 25-30% larger with improved claws, it would be perfect. As it stands right now, though, it's still pretty good. I would have loved to have seen a few in the Warg Attack set.

    I'll probably try to pick up another Orc Forge in the new few months, if there's a sale. I can only imagine how much the Bricklink prices for the printed armor will skyrocket once it's retired.

    I'm definitely in for all of the sets. There are usually one or two sets per wave that I'm pretty "meh" about, but not this time. We've been long overdue for AotC sets.

    ....And here I was thinking that I would skip this theme. Ha! This set looks absolutely incredible! This, along with confirmation that the Stagecoach set will be $30 is just icing on the cake.

    I'd actually go out on a limb and say that the X-Men set is the best Marvel set we've gotten so far. It's exactly the kind of thing I had in mind when Lego announced the license.
