If it isn't that darn goat with his bloody axe who's mad at me for chopping down the tree in which his magical grass smoking family hid wearing pink ties ... - then it beats me. 8-

EB Pirates! - Episode 1, Green Hair and the Yellow Thief
Opproperaar replied to El Bucanero's topic in Pirate MOCs
I must say that I loved it. The ads part was pure genius, miss bikini 1728. HA! I also adore the word muscle shine. Makes me think of Jean-Claude van Damme or Arnold Schwarzenegger all rubbed in vaseline. 8- -
I am absolutely dying to hear some X-D ;-)

I didn't get Lego (no booing please) Even thouh I consider Lego a very worthy hobby indeed, I got something which I think is even better A book on cartoon drawing (which I've been having a go at recently with my somewhat proficient though very limited drawing skills) It depends on how much you find that cool on whether or not you rat eit more highly than Lego ;-) (This thread if for posting ALL christmas presents right? and not just Lego? X-O )

My title once again changed and I know exactly which admin to blame thank :-) I would have to say I indeed have a vivid interest for politics in general, which surfaced in a conversation with a certain EB figure. Besides wouldn't a politician playing with LEGO be the best? :-D I'm sorry for the delay in my statement. As of yet I have still not found a solution to the corruption and agriculture budget deficit in the government. Short and sweet, meaning YOUR taxes will go up. But hey, there's good news too, check out the boat I built! I got me a cool new minifig for it. X-D Cough, cough, ugh *super-nerd!* cough, cough ugh, oh this cough is killing me *geek!* cough, cough. X-O ;-)

Happy birthday you two! Please accept my sincerest Pirate-y felicitations X-D YARGH! ARGH!

The famous Christmas truce on the Western front. The high generals on both sides - who were very much so opposed to peace and friendliness, what aweful men indeed - must have thought that the spirit of Xmas does weird things to people. The one in 1914, between British and German forces, happened in Flanders near Ypres. (purely technical now) Ok, now for the MOC itself, I like the friendly atmosphere you created though surely I believe you could have portrayed No Man's Land a bit more detailed. An improvised crater of sorts (though I must admit I am oblivious as to how you can make one) two or three withered, black trees. Perhaps even a pillbox with a machinegun. (not being used obviously) Some lights or a fire around which people gather? Though those are just suggestions. But nonetheless, there's a friendly atmosphere in the air. Lest We Not Forget

Your ship does indeed look a lo better now. She's a big one ain't she? The rigging is superbly done, simple but effective. ;-) Though still, I don't think I can spend much time belowdecks before my eyes would start to hurt.

May I say mr Bonaparte, the next time you and I end up again in the same contest, would you like to notify me before raising the bar to such heights? That way I can still back down. Now I find myself forced to come up with something of a similar quality. Excellent work on the radar wheels. :-) *y* (<----- it's a compliment btw X-D ) I have begun work on mine but gosh, that 6 wide hull is hard to work with. I think I shall widen it a bit in the middle though that might pose even more troubles than the ones that force me to widen it. And I'm not even talking 'bout the stern or bow yet. *wacko* I hate you GreenHair *skull*

Which Pirate LEGO faction do you support?
Opproperaar replied to Col. Whipstick's topic in LEGO Pirates
Well, as for my 2 cents Cause sharks aren't exactly a faction - though they should be with all the blood and sharp teeth and swimming around and biting people - I decided to go for the good ole fashioned Islanders. X-D A sub theme of which I have exactly collected 0.0 pieces. Yes, when you're young and your vision is clouded it's sure difficult to spot personal priority sets. To my great sadness I find myself islanderless while I could have had so many... :'-( Yes, those half naked, primitive, Caucasian-humans-eating savages get my vote. :-D -
Razees were essentially ship of the lines (two deckers), re-fitted to serve as big giant frigates as opposed to genuine ship of the lines. They had the room for heavy caliber guns and could thus more than take on the American super-frigates. Think of a super-super-frigate or sorts. The Americans always make things bigger, I wonder how an American first-rate would have looked like X-D :-)

It has become rather obvious now, most Europeans at least know by now that our country has been without a government ever since the last elections in June. More then half a year now. I not only watch the local Belgian channels, but BBC World and CNN as well. Of course the Belgian channels report regularly on the issue, as well as BBC World but so far - and why is beyond me - CNN still hasn't done so. I thought a Western country without government for the past six months ought to be sensational enough to make the news. Apparently I was wrong. So after 6 months of silence I switch the channel to CNN and - to my horror - look at a newsflash about the newly elected Miss Belgian Beauty's inability to speak Dutch. (Belgium has three official languages: Dutch, French and German) So what's up with that?!? >:-( Is it just me or do others agree that some news broadcasters should get their priorities straight? It's not like Belgium is a world-leading nation of sorts - and I don't pretend it to be that way - but last time I checked, beauty pageants were subordinate to elections and governments in terms of news value. |-/ If you want to see the newsflash click here PS: Sadly, in order to explain the entire situation over here and exactly why it's taking so long - a question many European news services apparently struggle with - takes an entire Belgian history lesson in order to explain. Mr Phred has aleady found that out. X-D And that was the short version, already three or so pages long.

"custom" Flemish shield
Opproperaar replied to Tanotrooper's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
You might want to make a rooster for the Walloons as well, otherwise people might blame you of seperatism in these dark times. 8-| Nice shield btw -
Jethro Tull - Locomotive Breath Yup, I hit my dad's music jackpot, ain't it amasing that some modern day teens can still feel attracted to that old ****** (censored :-P ) No seriously though, quite good

I just got back from being away for a couple of weeks and now this happens. well never fear For I am here :-D I do NOT want to sign up for the EN but would instead like to fulfill the role of 'not so truthworthy, quite corrupt arms supplier' He hehe eh muhahaha :-P But all jokes aside, can I? (being an independent 'arms dealer' that is)

Indeed Either many people in this topic have been banned or one particular person who has been banned has been posting here way too much. I don't know since I didn't pay enough attention :-) The idea behind it seems an awful lot like stratego. (perhaps you know it?) A board game in set during the Napoleonic wars. Each side gets a number of pawns including a flag. The pawns are turned towards each player so the other player can't see the pawns (and thus doesn't know what rank the pawn has, where mines are laid or where the flag is) Then the objective is simply to capture the flag. When opposing pawns meet, you tell each other the rank. The highest rank lives and the lowest dies. (with a few exceptions such as a spy, bomb etc.) Anyway, that's my two cents concerning this debate ;-)

It would seem that the typical American affinity for "big" can be traced back all the way to the founding of that country. Big sure means positive over there X-D I'd still prefer the Surprise over the Constitution. ;-)

Exams had me lose touch with the EB community for the past weeks and it's only just now I noticed I have a title. :-P Well, what can I say, I adore sharks However, fate would have it in a "convenient" time for Captain Green Hair ;-) I suspect foul play :-D Apart from that I like it :-) *Must make bigger contribution to forums as soon as exams are done*

I've got one word for you guys EXAMS yep they suck! And still not done btw, a mighty fine looking ship you got there. I've noticed a lot of resemblance between Errorist's ship and yours. Though perhaps that has more to do with sailing ship anatomy than any other explanation I can conjure up at the moment. Perhaps mr Phred and Errorist should get together to build a first rate ship of the line? :-) X-D
-
Ah ah ah ah! It is that I may yet again make a post in this forum aha ahah ahah aha *stops being an megablocks* So how's your Constitution oh noble Phred? Have you made any progress since the last reactions? :-) If so, I'd love to see it,

Opproperaar replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'll take the left one thank you very much X-D Damn Asuka, with all the girl pictures you've been posting lately I'm beginning to wonder what sites you visit :-P PS: Congratulations Cap'n SlyOwl and all the other contestants, the contest sure did last long. :-D -
So? When is the poll going to end and the winner finally anounced? I thought the deadline was yesterday? 8-|
