Okay, Ghost is pretty much perfect and it's now the only BH I look forward to. Dragon Dance Guy look neat, but it's a poor compensation for the exclusive sets Asia will get. The rest is fine, I just hope there will be another set for Christmas, a proper vignette like we used to have.
-
No use of word "exclusive" in any form. There is a slim chance! I'm asking since similar thing happened last time, everyone expected Year of the Dog to be available in China like few previous Chinese New Year sets, only for it to be revealed as a GWP worldwide, and now it can be purchased in store. Hopefully the new sets will eventually be avalable in the west, because I'm not paying for them 300 bucks on eBay, I'm not that crazy
-
Is there an official statement from LEGO that they're going to be absolutely, one hundred percent, irrevocably exclusive to China? Cause that would suck big time. These sets are incredible, I've never seen an official product like this; there have been some nice vignettes, especially Christmas themed, but none with this level of detail. Also, 15 minifiures in what looks like 200 piece set? HOW?! Seems as if they were made specifically to make us western AFOLs angry

That doesn't seem right, 75945? Shouldn't it be a continuation, starting with -57 or something?

LEGO Creator 2019 - Rumors, Discussion, and Speculation
BenderBrau replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in Special LEGO Themes
There are three four more sets, per BrickMerge (and translator): 31090 Underwater Robot, 20 € 31092 Helicopter Adventure, 10 € 31093 Houseboat 30 € 31094 Racing Aircraft 30 € Only one house from this wave sadly. Also it seems that only 31092 and 31094 will come with minifigs, the latter being a somewhat continuation of this year's 31085 Stunt Show should have at least a pilot (just my speculation, I haven't seen it yet, I may be mistaken). From what we've seen today, I'm digging Sunset Track Racer and especially Deep Sea Creatures. I'm slightly disappointed with Shuttle Transporter, the shuttle itself looks neat but the truck looks weird not having proper cabin for a minifig, and the secondary builds look boring.- 280 replies

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
I haven't watched it, but quick google search shows just his normal suit with sombrero instead of a sailor's hat. Do you have something different in mind, which I don't see?- 961 replies

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, there's always the Quack Pack version which, may I add, is still more likely than... ahem Jokes aside, they'll almost definitely go with the black outfit, still very iconic and recognizable among children - thanks to the DuckTales- 961 replies

LEGO Ideas Discussion
BenderBrau replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Pictures of the box have leaked. Looks really lovely, hopefully the suggested 80€ will translate to no more than £70. I will definitely try to buy it for Christmas, just need to be sure when will the GWPs in the UK be. -

The "leaked" image is of the project itself, not the final product. Unless they didn't change anything, including STAMPs -
LEGO Ideas Discussion
BenderBrau replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Fantastic! I was really hoping for the Treehouse to be approved ever since I first saw it. I believe it was still under 1000 votes when I supported the project. And it achieved 10k quite fast, too, which got my hopes way too high, something I try to avoid since Lego isn't too keen on chosing larger Ideas. But lo and behold, the project is being made and I couldn't be happier The Flintstones being also chosen is a nice surprise, too. I'm curious how the designer will manage to redesign the car to make the minifigs touch the ground - a little detail mr. AndrewClark2 seems to have forgotten about I also wonder if it's going to come out in 2020, the show's 60th anniversary. If yes, that would leave 2019 with only one new Ideas set, the Pop-up Book. Real shame about the Stitch though, he's just so cute -
Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
It says coming soon in all of Europe, but it's sold out in USA/Canada and not listed at all in Australia/New Zealand. We'll find out in a week, I wouldn't mind getting that set, although it really is weird there's nothing new coming (except BH). BTW, Korea has double VIP points right now. Go figure... -
Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
40262 has a "coming soon" status on S@H, my assumption is that it will be this year's Christmas set, along with Mr and Mrs Claus Brickheadz -
It's a possibility, depending on what kind of deal WB and Lego has. Supposedly 75951 Grindelwald's Escape was made in the dark - set designers weren't given much material from the film producers who wanted to keep the whole story secret. It's very likely the studio required the new FB sets to be released after the film premiered, but if it's two months after (for the winter wave) or half a year after (summer wave) we are yet to find out

Oh my god, that's wonderful! If the D2C is really coming, it has to be the Visitor Centre, there's no other option. Yeah, the T-rex paddock (as suggested by Whovastron) would be more playable, but with just two cars, part of the fence and the gate, it would have maybe 1500 pieces, even if all the builds were minifig scale, which is not exclusive enough. But the VC would be the best set to include John Hammond, unless Lego has a policy to not depict deceased people as minifigs. Whatever will the D2C and the other sets be though, I'm very excited, definitely the best news today!

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
Taj Mahal is a mausoleum - not a place of worship, but a tomb. Pretty much like a Hindi pyramid, only way more ornate. That being said, there IS one religious place Lego has created - St. Mark's Basilica in the Venice skyline set (21026). But it's only used for its landmark status and architectural beauty, not because it's a church. -
Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
I understand that rule and agree with it. As Lego puts play value above anything else, it would be weird to see a church with play features, and religious activities (like praying or preaching) are not easy to incorporate into a toy that's meant to be played with by children. There's definitely more to it (not wanting to upset non-christian families etc) and it's understandable why Lego is sticking with the Santa Claus side of Chritmas. -
Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
I like it, planning to finally start my Winter Village with this one. -
Out of hundreds of sets available on LEGO's Shop @ Home, there are few that have no theme "assigned" to them, like 40305 Lego Brand Store or 40188 Pencil Pot. To find them I need to either type in set number or search through all of the sets. Also right now I can buy 40235 Year of the Dog and 40251 Piggy Bank, which were GWPs in the past. Few questions that I have: how many sets like these are actually available on Lego's site? How am I supposed to know if they're not under any theme or interest? Is there any easier way I could find them? How often does it happen that a former freebie is available to purchase?

Wizarding World of Harry Potter Wishlist
BenderBrau replied to Falconfan1414's topic in LEGO Licensed
Ministry of Magic that is similar to the MBS Cloud City. With the place being underground I think It's a perfect format to give it justice. I can already see it having two levels connected by an elevator. First level would have: the atrium, with replaceable statues - one from Order of the Phoenix, the other from Deathly Hallows - and a big cloth piece with Cornelius Fudge portrait Umbridge's office the room where they were making the pamphlets Second level: courtroom Hall of Prophecy Death chamber (with the arch) And let's not forget red phone booth on top of it, as the entrance to the elevator of course -
If there's a minifig of a trolley witch, I think Macnair is not out of the question, grim as he may be. Yes, it is for the completion's sake, and if Lego's gonna make the set based on the PoA's scene, he really should be in that set (along with TWO Harrys and Hermiones). Unless the Hagrid's Hut set is going to be a general build, not based on any specific scene, in that case the exeutioner won't be necessary.
