Someone on IG also claims the release date to be march 23 for VIPs and April 1 in general. A bit earlier than expected, but that's not a reason to complain. Can't wait for the official reveal!

Please don't make me hope for the impossible my guess is the set is half maze, half graveyard with some form of play feature that lets you "use" the portkey and transfer the figs between the locations.

I see you haven't heard the news: FB3 has been delayed. First they postponed production from July to "late autumn" (about 4 months) of this year, then the movie lost its slated release date of November 20 2020. Of course the studio could still cram it sometime in december, but spring/early summer 2021 is way more likely

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
actually in some shorts she wears a blue dress and a blue or pink bow, without any polka dots . Not as iconic of coure, but If they had to put Minnie alongside Mickey, this version may be the way to go- 961 replies

Well, I can't imagine TLG ditching Harry Potter halfway through. At the current rate - one wave per year - the theme will almost certainly reach 2021. Also apparently FB3 has been delayed, presumably until 2021, although it may not even affect the HP schedule. I'm thinking it would be a great occasion to release another D2C - hopefully Diagon Alley. At this point it will be 10 years since 10217

Ideas 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Calunca's topic in Special LEGO Themes
This is all great news, if true! Faithful to the original, over 3000 parts, plant pieces from sugarcane like Vestas. The article also places probable release date in spring, a bit doubtful since we're still waiting for Steamboat which should - in theory - come first. Although the fact that this article with such details was even allowed to be published may indicate an earlier release than expected - June maybe? Either way, it's a definite must buy (well, it already was when I supported it, but with all this good info, it's even more so!) -
Set 21317 is supposed to have 751 pieces. The site with this info has listed three Ideas sets for 2018 about a month ago, and they were right about The Flintstones having 748. It's a strong possibility the part count for 21317 is also true. Whether it's the Steamboat we don't know, but given the already leaked Minnie, I say it's likely.

LEGO Ideas Discussion
BenderBrau replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think it's because while all previous Lego Mickeys have the licence for his character only, Steamboat Willie licence is for the entire short so it was treated as a separate IP. -
Well, well, well, looks like I'd do well in divination classes I know it's just a rumor right now, but I'm sure Lego execs at least thought about it when it was decided to revive HP theme. Let's hope they too thought it's a perfect match that's worth realizing Four exclusive minifigs? Five with a santa variant? Not a chance. I could see them doing one sweater per year (if the calendar really is coming this year, they will definitely continue them throughout the theme's run) and perhaps Yule Ball robes, although the latter is I think more likely to be seen in CMF

Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Even if they don't include t-rex in the set, the building should be large enough to fit one inside with some room to spare - similar how it was possible to park Ghostbusters' car inside GBHQ. The middle part of the VC should be about as big as the entire Lockwood Estate - that's already about 1000 pieces. Wings of the building should be about 800 parts each at this size, that leaves us with 500 pieces for the car, minifigs, accesories and such. or even better - creator expert vehicle sized JP tour car with t-rex to scale -
Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hmm... if the Visitor Centre was strictly based on the first visit with no play features referring to the finale (which were partially covered in 75932), one baby raptor would actually make sense. Quite disappointing in that you'd have to buy additional sets (or just bricklink dinosaurs) to stage the finale, but it would still be better than have it in microscale. -
Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, that is suspiciously cheap, my most optimistic estimations began at 320$ / £280. I'm starting to worry about my Visitor Centre But what kind of JP set has not a single dinosaur? There needs to be at least one, otherwise what was the point? Few possibilities off the top of my head: there's only one dinosaur and a lot less minifigures than there should be, that would be just sad it's the dreaded microscale. As VC is not that big of a building, it would include other sites and places with brick built dinosaurs, like a miniature model of the park. Jurassic World in this case would also make sense - more attractions, clear layout It's a large brick built dinosaur, similar to this -

That would be too good to be true. Even better if the quote was the set's name Nah, Lego doesn't have balls for that -

Ummm, It's already 2019, you know? In that case, I want my bus - with passengers to kill! Althugh during the rampage rexy has eaten only one person onscreen, and he wasn't from the bus. -

BenderBrau replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
never mind that - with only two proposed minifigs, the bus would be empty I did not think this through. Maybe instead of the bus, T-rex could have some other stuff to destroy - a gas station, telephone booth or such Not going to happen, sadly -
Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
spinosaurus - most likely to happen; both attack on the plane and the boat are good set materials stegosaurus - it could happen, but theire scene is just them in the forest. No cars, no building - nothing to include as a side build, except for some foliage, a hollow tree and baby stego. The dinosaur mould is too big for the 25€ price point and there could be not enough stuff for 60€ gallimimus and ankylosaurus - would be nice to have them, but they're not as iconic; also they were just a prey to T-rex and Indo, it'd be hard to create a set solely around any of them parasaurolophus - good scene with a cool car but the name itself is a good enough reason to disqualify it My guesses, only original trilogy stuff, because a man can dream (and nobody cares about the new movies, besides they had their waves) 75934, 25€: as per tradition for the smallest set, pteranodon. JP3 scene where the kid is taken to the nest. May include baby pteranodon or two. Also a good place to use the new parachute. Eric (the kid) and Billy Brennan (the guy that stole the egg). 75935, 60€ T-rex in San Diego. The trailer on the cliff scene is better, but the vehicle is quite big and therefore might take the biggest set spot, so i chose this intead. T-rex and builds for the bus and the red convertible, Malcolm, Sarah Harding and baby dino. 75936, 70€ Spinosaurus v plane. I know, not likely to have two JP3 sets, but I really want that Spino! Grant, Paul and Amanda Kirby and maybe Billy again or one of the other guys no one remembers the name of. 75937, 90€ Jurassic Park Tour - a companion piece to (presumably) D2C Visitor Centre. Tour car, Jurassic Park gate, sick triceratops and T-rex Paddock. Grant, Sattler, kids, Malcolm, Gennaro, Gerry Harding and the goat of course. Yeah, a man can dream -
Ghostbusters (Reboot) 2016 sets rumors and discussion
BenderBrau replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, we're here probably a year before there's even a rumour about tie-in set(s) I'm guessing at most two play sets, one with possibly a new car, or one D2C (like recently PotC) IF Ghostbusters will have a new headquarters. -
Ideas 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Calunca's topic in Special LEGO Themes
What makes you so certain? The site in the link doesn't say anything. I think you assume that Ideas sets are released in the same order as they were announced, which is not always the case, especially with bigger projects. For all we know, the Treehouse may still be 21318. -

Is it for certain or just your guess? In the LEGO Creator topic you have not specified the set's name and replied to @Digger of Bricks that it's unknown. I demand clarification -
LEGO Ideas Discussion
BenderBrau replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I checked out of curiosity and nothing can really come close to Minecraft project from 2011 (on shelves in 2012), when Ideas was still CUUSOO. 48 hours, according to the official LEGO comment! But that one is a special case, project submitter was Mojang Itself, developer of Minecraft game. Even in the roduct description they clearly stated there will be no problem with license agreement on their side, they knew what what they were doing and with evident support from the game community, they achieved the goal as quickly and efficiently as no mere AFOL can ever dream. -
Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
At this size (over 3K pieces), a large building is the most likely scenario and JP's Centre is the best candidate. JW's one isn't worse looking, it's just not the main focus of its movie. There are what, four, maybe five scenes inside the Centre? The rest of the movie - petting zoo, mososaurus etc - happens around it and including these attractions would make the set disjointed. Original Centre is way better realized, one building that has everything in it and characters spend a lot of time inside. It clearly seems like a better choice. If it is the Visitor Centre, the minifigs should be the ones that were inside of it - exactly eleven you mentioned before. Harding as a park employee is a faint possibility, but he was with the triceratops. Dodgson and especially Brown are very unlikely. -
Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Only in a T-rex paddock set. In Visitor Centre, the goat has no place. That' no speculation, that's the only possible outcome. Although I'm a bit worried they might ditch Gennaro, him being the least significant character and kind of a douche (even before he abandoned the kids), kind of like they omitted Walter Peck from Ghostbusters. Yes, please! I'm also thinking Lex should have medium legs -
Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Oh, the usual. A skimmed version of a large building - this time Visitor Centre - with a nice facade, opened back, few rooms that don't correspond with the actual layout and lots of stickers. If I'm right (95% chance I am, what else could it be?), It should be about the size of Joker Manor - maybe a bit shorter and a bit deeper to do the iconic dome justice. Ideally, there will be 11 minifigs, one T-rex, two raptors and perhaps... a cow, if the designer wanted to include the feeding scene as a play feature Also the tour car is a must. Probably it will be smaller than I imagined, but as long as the T-rex can easily stand in the main hall so that it's possible to recreate the finale, I'll be happy -
[PRESS RELEASE] 21316 - Lego Ideas Flinstones
BenderBrau replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well that was fast! I honestly thought they would hold off on releasing the set until next year, which would neatly coincide with the show's 60th anniversary, but I guess they had different plans. Although I think they should've worked a little more on Fred's face, because it in no way resembles the character, save for the stubble. Barney's is a bit better, but it could also be improved. I like both women's faces though, their expressions are quite on point.
