It's a possibility of course, but I think the tiny gap between plates would be visible, unless it was mistakenly edited out. Not that it matters really, it's not like the model is impossible to build without the non-existent part. I'm just curious, the models are credited to actual Lego designers and if anyone had the access to new parts, it would be them.

I was looking through the BYOA book and I noticed something intriguing in these instructions: https://ibb.co/6Fg4cDF does a 3x4 plate exist? I can't find anything on BL other than 88646 and 44570, neither exists in medium nougat. Has a designer used a piece that's yet to be introduced in an official set?

It took three days, but the missing points have been added. Good to know they haven't been lost Doesn't change the fact I'm still afraid to use them with all of the trouble everyone's having I don't want any issues when I'll visit the store next month.
-
I was finally able to check the new VIP site. The points are there, but not all of them - if my math is correct, I haven't earned any points from a purchase I made during 2X points last week. I already sent an email to the customer service, hope it'll be sorted out soon. Oh, they will disappear within minutes, that's for sure

Ideas 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Calunca's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It looks slightly weaker than the project, but it's not a let down by any means. I don't mind the brighter colour, I just think the treetop should be a bit bigger. But I like the idea of changing leaves, so that's at least a fair trade off. The stairs are rather weird but I guess there had to be some clearance for the picnic area (which is absolutely lovely BTW); it'll probably look better at a different angle. Now it's just waiting for the reveal and more pictures, but I already know it's a must buy for me -
I'm also definitely picking up that book. I'm hoping I can find it in my local TKMaxx, they usually have the BYOA books (not all of them though) for about £10 and few months ago I found SW Ideas Book for 5 or 6 quid.

A post on IG claims the Treehouse set is going to be an august release with VIP early access in July, 3036 pieces, 200€ / £180. Wonderful news if true! I can't wait for the official reveal, should be in about three weeks. -
Harry Potter 2020 - Rumors, Wishlists and Discussion
BenderBrau replied to RandomSniper109's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think it's possible to have both versions in one set. Two ways it could realistically be done (that I can think of right now): a portion of the castle, or just one floor, is removable to swap between DA and the Vanishing Cabinet rooms; or a sliding wall that covers one room while allowing access to the other. Of course they can decide to focus on one film only like in this wave, but we can all agree it would be a lot cooler to have a feature that gives the room's name justice -
What a lovely set, a must have for sure. I don't complain about Dumbledore and McGonagall being repeats, 5 other minifigs having exclusive parts is good enough for me. I'm surprised how much I like the Architect statue, I thought it would be much simpler, like a featureless pearl gold minidifure on a podium, but it has some nice detail. Also, am I crazy in thinking the housecrests are actually printed? It's hard to see on the video even when the camera zooms in on the set.

Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
BenderBrau replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
I have a feeling they've added the "scenes" on the back of the gate so that its build process wouldn't be dead boring. I always appreciate additional detail, but still I'm not so sure I like the fact that they're there. Also, why the toilet and no Gennaro? Why not choose a scene that wouldn't require any additional minifigs, lke the theatre? Really such a weird inclusion. Maybe I'll change my mind about them once I'll build it, maybe I'll just ignore them since the front is way more displayable anyway. I'm still angry about the Jurassic Park sign though With that said, I'm liking the T-rex more and more after seeing it on the videos, and for me it's the main selling point aside from the minifigs. -

Diagon Alley is the best candidate for D2C, although I too would like it divided into few sets. It could be started in the next wave with Weasleys shop (, expanded in 2021 with Gringotts, which ideally would be detachable from the underground section with vaults and the dragon. Then circle back to year one with Leaky Cauldron and Ollivander's and later Flourish & Blotts, Quidditch shop and maybe also Borgin & Burkes As for D2C - it should be Hogsmeade. Main street consisting of Three Broomsticks, Honeydukes and Hog's Head, with Shrieking Shack and perhaps train station on the side. I know, a bit weird to have two pubs, but that's the movies' fault for not depicting Zonko's and Madame Puddifoot's -
Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

As much as I want to be negative about this, I can't help but agree, it's just disappointment it's not the VC. I've brought this upon myself, speculating and dreaming for months and not accepting any alterntives. On its own, the T-rex looks pretty impressive, considering the legs and neck seem to be poseable to some extent. Aside from the Jurassic Park sign, which is a bit small, the gate is fine, but the Ford Explorer would of course be more fitting and preferable. Shame about this whole situation but nevertheless, interesting set that I'll almost surely pick up, but maybe not as soon as I would'v wanted to -
That's what I'm thinking about. I just like the idea of having actual pieces representing horcruxes, not mere prints like on Rowena and Salazar. We already have the diary and Nagini, it would be awesome to have the rest. I'm not expecting every single scene and place, just the ones where there's a horcrux involved. That's kinda what the plot's about, Lego shouldn't just ignore them. Well, I can't argue with that. But the ministry scene has a bit more to it - the smoke bombs, battle with dementors and Yaxley plus the cat patronus. It could be made into a play set if Lego wanted to That is a viable option too, which I completely forgot about because initially we were talking about Umbridge and the doe patronus to pair with the stag would be even better than the cat. Although the ministry set would have better minifig potential with polyjuiced HRH, Umbridge, Yaxley, Mary and a dementor

I would say the trial is of pretty high priority, equal to Gringotts and Hogwarts battle if the sets are meant to follow the narrative of gathering the horcruxes. Of course I'm not saying they definitely will, Lego can decide to completely discard the horcruxes and have the final battle be just about defeating Voldemort, not destroying some artifacts. But in that case, the Gringotts break-in set would be pointless. Unless they pretend the locket doesn't exist, or the one in the cave was real and destroyed immediately - assuming there will be a cave set. Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how Lego will aproach the final movies.
-
I was thinking of her usage in a Hogwarts set. OotP trial is simply not going to happen. DH one on the other hand is almost certain, but there she wears her usual pink atrocity. I guess CMF is an option, but personally I don't think it's that necessary to make this variant of her
-
Twelve? That is a lot more than I thought. I guess with all of them being in various shades of pink, it's hard to tell them apart (Well, she wears black robes in the trial scene, but this variant is definitely most unlikely)
-
Moody was essential to GoF, and yet there's no sign of him in any of this year's sets. And the next Hogwarts part could be HBP themed. The truth is, except for the trio, no one is really guaranteed. I do agree though, OotP-centric Hogwarts, with Dumbledore's Army, makes more sense in terms of play value. In such a set, Umbridge could even replace Dumbledore as the school Headmistress, potentially leaving Albus exclusive to a horcrux cave set. Good news for shoppers around Europe - until 23/06 Journey to Hogwarts polybag is free with a HP purchase of 35 £/€!
-
At least the Map still has a solid chance as it was briefly used in HBP and DH.
-
Well yes, but actually - no. If the sets are supposed to be based on the movies, The Leaky Cauldron is the place to include the Monster Book in. Of course it wouldn't hurt if F&B had few copies to sell, but if it's going to be depicted strictly as it was shown in CoS, it probably won't have them. And that's assuming Diagon Alley - wether D2C or few regular sets combined - is even in the works. Or it could turn up in a CMF as an accesory - for Neville of course.

August is supposed to be Batman themed D2C, for September - Disney. Don't foget there's still Creator Expert Harley Davidson and Ideas Treehouse on the way, but we don't know when they'll be out, there weren't any rumours yet -
14/20, not too bad considering I have barely any knowledge about older sets and I was wild guessing half of them

Glad to hear they're still testing the piano, they could take another five years for all I care if it meant the final product would be as awesome as the SleepyCow's project The fossils are a good choice, too. Even if it ends up out of scale with regular dinosaur molds, it still should be a nice complementary piece to any Jurassic Park/World set'. -
What? But you don't have to! Does not compute! I was thinking the time travelling Harry and Hermione would have slightly different, battle worn prints (they have been in hospital wing after all). I know I'm asking for too much, what we're getting now is entirely fine. By that logic, Sirius should also have one, as well as Stan and Ernie
-
Well, you sort of have to, but nevertheless - thank you A small nitpick about the graveyard set - Wormtail shouldn't have his wand, he used Voldemort's for the resurrection. Seeing how accurate Lego has been so far about which characters should get their wand, this seems like a mistake - a really minor one, but still.

Yup, another list no one will bother to read: 1. Beauxbaton carriage. It's just so damn pretty, easy to reuse in other fantasy setting. School uniform Fleur is just perfect, I would have never guessed we'd also get Gabrielle. 2. Hagrid's Hut. Buckbeak's fantastic, inclusion of Fudge and McNair is also great. Still could be better if there were two Harrys and Hermiones, maybe next time. 3. Clocktower. Entrance Hall could use a bit more detail (plus a better Goblet) and the dancing platform should be attached to it, not to the other side of the building. Otherwise, a great addition to the line. 4. Expecto Patronum. The stag and Sirius are the sole reason to buy this set. 5. Advent Calendar. I'm still stoked we're even getting one. Even though we haven't seen all of it, but at the very least it has Harry's and Ron's jumpers and new Gryffindor torso. which is already more than I expected 6. Rise of Voldemort. The ground looks weird but I get that it needs to hide a play feature. It's still worth getting, at least for the hooded death eater 7. Knight Bus. I'm not really interested in the subject matter, will wait for a discount 8. First Task. The worst thing is that Lego knows how to design a smaller dragon, they've been doing this in Ninjago and Elves for years. Maybe it's not 'Great Hall basilisk' bad but this thing does not resemble the horntail. At least it's cool we're gettin all of the champions
