It's available now, try to refresh. God, I am so tempted! But I've decided to wait for Christmas, during double points or for a GWP. I wouldn't build it immediately anyway, going on vacation next week.

My thoughts exactly. Same thing happened with LotR, PotC and IJ - along with the sets from the new installment in the franchise, they covered some of othe most iconic scenes from previous movies. It seems Lego is doing the same now and two, maybe three waves are being planned to cover the most important stuff. The only difference now is that there will be still more FB movies, and, very likely, sets based on them. There is a chance they will produce more HP sets alongside the FB ones - maybe not full waves, but 2-3 additional sets depicting scenes that weren't done before.

Yeah, but that's Harry Potter in general, different scenes in the same, few places. Literally, there's seven main recurring locations (eight if you count the train), although three of those can be divided. Once you have enough figures, you can recreate pretty much every scene you can remember.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter Wishlist
BenderBrau replied to Falconfan1414's topic in LEGO Licensed
Guys, what do you think are the chances of LEGO producing HP Advent Calendar(s)? Not this year of course, but maybe for the next Christmas? It seems like a perfect match and I sure as hell would love it Regarding The Knight Bus, the mandrake mould which came with Neville in CMF is pretty much a perfect piece for a shrunken head and I am now 99% sure we will be gettin that set come the next wave -

What I'd likem to do with Hagrid's Hut is to recreate the PoA scene of rescuing Buckbeak. That way the set could also include pumpkin patch and maybe a small bit of the forest, for Harry and Hermione to hide in from themselves. Ideally the set would include two Harrys and two Hermiones, with Hagrid, Dumbledore, Fudge and, if we're lucky, the executioner to complete the scene. -

??? Hope you mean Rufus Scrimgeour. Who is actually very likely among characters "appearing in a scene that's difficult to make into a set, but significant nonetheless". Others I consider in the same category are: Rita Skeeter, Fudge, Bathilda Bagshot, Karkaroff, young Grindelwald (from flashbacks in DH), Helena Rvenclaw (ghost), Amos Diggory among many others. Really, the characters from Harry Potter could fill at least three more CMFs Then again, series 1 didn't go too deep with their minifigs, the only slightly "obscure" one is Dean, the rest are prominent characters which are very likely to appear in future sets. There's no way to be sure whether Lego's willing to do deeper into the lore or they'll stick to the more recognisable characters. -
Well that's a relief. Finding ideal storing solution is truly problematic, right now I'm using four multi drawer cabinets (all different, to keep things interestng), few bigger drawers, lots of food containers, resealable bags, ice cream tubs and smaller Lego boxes - simply put it's a mess and I want to somehow mke sense of all of it, if that's even possible .
-
If you're talking about these, I was generally avoiding this type of boxes, they're unnecessarily heavy for Lego. I bought a set of three from Amazon a while ago and I regret that purchase. Although I must admit, 4 quid for quite a big box is not too shabby. I hope I find it in my B&M, I may buy one to see if I like it better from the ones I have. Thank you! That's a really nice box, haven't seen this one yet. Shame about fixed compartments, but the price is great for the size. Thank You!
-
I'll be sure to check. I was there recently, didn't see any sorting boxes but perhaps I missed an aisle, B&M's layout is a bloody mess
-
I'm aware of the brand, looked at their site, but it's not as cheap as I'd like it to be. Also the're mainly making bigger drawers and boxes, which I don't have space for. I'm looking for something like this
-
Question is only for UK based FOLs here. Home Bargains used to have these storage boxes with 24 compartments for 2,49 (there were other sizes as well, but these were the biggest at 35x22x5 cm), which is way cheaper than similar products on Amazon and such. They aren't perfect of course, the plastic it's made of isn't of the best quality (probably, I'm not an expert) and the separators slide out very easily, but they have one big advantage - slightly rounded bottom which makes it super easy to take parts out of them an prevents smaller bits from being stuck in the corners. I have 20 of these and I need more as I'm in the process of sorting and rearranging my collection, but I can't find them anymore in my local HBs. My question to you is, could you help me find an alternative?

Can confirm, WH Smith has CMF's. Got Cedric, Dean and Newt, I should've taken more.

By the number of towers I meant the lack of the Astronomy tower and the rest, just didn't want to repeat exact words that everyone has already said. But the Grand Staircase tower is visibly too thin, the three small towers on top of it are way too big, the middle tower's too short, that small "hut" adjacent to the Great Hall is too thin. The right side of the build is spot on, though. I didn't mean to be critical, the proportions aren't exact, but they're pretty close. It's just evident the designers were bound by the size of cone pieces and they didn't try to work around them to aquire better shapes in the few places I mentioned. Which is fine, I would've done that myself (if I had the capability to design such a castle, which I don't )
-
I love it for what it is (basically Disney Castle 2.0, only with a different brand), but at the same time I'm a bit disappointed it's not what I thought it would be at this scale - an architecture set, akin to Taj Mahal, depicting the entire castle. Something like this, but with no stand and much less rock formations, obviously. Focusing on what we're getting, it's a real beauty from both sides. The front's design is incredible in how it manages to look like stone-built and not rely on stickers (in fact there are only two, which could be easily left off) or those masonry bricks. Significant depth is well used, giving the rooms enough space to make it look like it truly is in microfig scale. There are some slight flaws, as expected. Too many stickers, in fact, I can't see any printed parts, even the generic ones; looking at this photo it's obvious they didn't bother with exact proportions and number of towers; real shame there are no other common rooms; the arrangement of some chambers doesn't make much sense. But these are just nitpicks, I'm definitely buying this, maybe even day one, or at least for Christmas. It'll surely be a blast to build and a beautiful display piece Even if they made an add-on in the future, what would it be called? The Rest of Hogwarts ™ Castle?

That is true, tan and DBG combo looks stunning. Still I hope they used dark tan, to make it look more lealistic, like a real medieval castle. And I don't think it would look dreary

Oh now I see it. On IG there are three different cuts of the same photo, I was looking at the one without the roof piece, with it the difference is quite clear. Do you think it'll be tan or dark tan, to make it look darker like in later films and distinguish it from the minifig scale sets?

31st seems like the best option, but I have a feeling they'll reveal it on the day of VIP release. July was already big with its releases and maybe they don't want to overshadow them? And let's hope they don't cancel the early access like they did with Bugatti. By the way, were there any rumours about UK price? I know it's suppoed to be 500 €, so in theory it should cost about as much as the Death Star (£410), but we know prices here are all over the place.

According to the birth dates on the HP wikia (Newt's being in 1897, Dumbledore's in 1881), the DADA lesson from the trailer would take place around 1910. That is pretty early, Dumbledore would be no more than 30 and just starting his career in school. It's safe to assume when he applied, the current transfiguration professor didn't just step down to make space for him. Dumbledore took the position that was available and waited for transfiguration to become vacant

Another proof my knowlegde is severely lacking Forgot these are coming, too. Better not to get my hopes up too high, then. Which is a shame, Gravity Falls has enough material for quite a few neat sets, Lego could easily get the licence when the show was still running. That being said, GF characters are quite a good match for Brickheadz, with them having rather big heads on their own. I can't wait for the official reveal.
-
So according to a recent leak, Dipper and Mabel (from Gravity Falls) Brickheadz are coming. If this is true, that would be the first time BH are using a newly acquired licence - previous ones were based on licences Lego already had, as far as I know. Which gets me thinking: would lego buy the rights just for the BH? Or are we about to get more sets based on the show?

Wizarding World of Harry Potter Wishlist

If we're lucky and the theme will last until the last FB movie comes out, we could get Diagon Alley sub-theme, with few sets that would connect to each other. Obvious choices are: The Leaky Couldron Ollivander's Gringotts Weasley's Wizard Wheezes Borgin & Burkes' less likely, but still possible: Flourish and Blotts Magical Menagerie Quality Quidditch Supplies That way we would be able to build the whole street, not just three places like in 10217 -

Exactly! In fact, we should have them earlier. The HP Brickheadz are but a small consolation for this egregious injustice
