Very good choices, especially Blacksmith. I'm curious how they'll handle the characters of Winnie the Pooh, the way they're presented in the submission is alright, but we all know they'd be much better with specialised molds we shall see, but I'll probably pick it up, I always liked the franchise

Don't overthink it too much, Futurama was a pretty standard PG-13 show with moderate but never explicit adult content, it's no more "controversial" than the Simpsons or FRIENDS and if the latter two were made, so can be Futurama. Besides if this project is chosen, it'll most likely go the Voltron route, e.g. no minifigs included (just like in the submission)

I don't think it was really out of stock, just some technical problem, or Lego decided to launch this set in the morning instead of midnight, for whatever reason. Now, it's a real possibility that it will be out of stock before the Year of the Rat promo starts on monday. People, don't buy the sets yet, wait until monday!

I know a certain kid that would looooove to get the Old Trafford (big football fan, plus lives around Manchester). That's why he must not know of it's existence, at least not yet For now the set doesn't do much for me, although it could have an interesting build process, especially with what looks like a retractable roof. Not that Lego would ever do that, but this version could go in CMF, with a special torso mold for the straight jacket, or something similar to a cast that would connect to both hands simultaneously (or replace them). It could actually be the only chance for an "asylum patient" fig, as normally it would be too mature for Lego. Dammit, I need to stop dreaming

Not really possible due to straitjacket, but technically there is a version of Lockhart in hospital shown in the movies. And it's St. Mungo's I really hope it's not someone as desirable as Lockhart, although if the silhouette does represent the fig and not just a place holder, there isn't that many characters to choose from. Most likely it is a version of Harry (year seven or epilogue judging from the regular legs), it could also be Cormac McLaggen, Tom Riddle (diary memory), OotP Dudley. From adult characters, really only Gilderoy comes to mind right now Maybe Theseus Scamander, although I doubt they would choose someone from FB. My bet right now would be Dudley

Hufflepuffs will not be happy But at least Hannah had speaking lines (in a deleted scene, but still) She might have a chance if there were to be another quidditch themed set seriously, any form of people/starter/battle pack would be great to get charcters like these, who fit neither bigger sets nor CMF, the Spider-Man one (40343) seems to be well received, we can hope Lego will do something similar with HP

Thought you were referring to pieces in general, e.g. why have another curved slope or wedge when there are so many already I don't know if it's popular or not, don't see it discussed here, but I HATE big figs, mainly their semi squat pose which you can't change, way too comical and too different from a minifig.

I don't see how this is unpopular. I'm not against BHs themselves, it's just that vignettes have so much charm and go well with the "main course", Winter Village sets. At least they could do one Brickhead, one vignette (and not just for Christmas). Again, hardly unpopular, especially on forums mainly occupied by adults My opinion: some of AFOLs vastly overestimate their power, clamoring that if classic themes were to come back, they would outsell any other theme, bring back the company to former glory etc. Just becaue they would buy them, doesn't mean it would be enough to consider such a revival succesful. Also with the new standards, pieces and techniques, it's guaranteed they wouldn't be fully satisfied, because the sets wouldn't look and feel the same.

If their review was simply postponed, I think it would be mentioned in the message and closing comment sections wouldn't be necessary. I searched for other instances of archiving an Idea project, it happened many times but always because of an existing licence or a licence belonging to competition, and never after it achieved 10k. The reason for archiving was always clearly stated in the message, but not this time. Hopefully we will find out soon, in this thread on Reddit Coosey_Goosey said he'll discose it if Lego will allow.

I think it's fair they informed us. It's not that these projects were simply not approved after the review, it's that they won't be reviewed at all. If it was kept a secret, you'd be thinking they were tested properly like the others, when in fact they weren't. Something must have happened that hasn't before which resulted in premature rejection of both projects. The weird part is that we're not given the actual reason, in fact, given the closing of comment sections, we're not supposed to know.

Having Gringotts on top at least makes sense in terms of play value, because of the dragon climbing upwards right through the bank. I also mentioned earlier that in this configuration the building should be detachable if you wanted it with the rest of DA. Sort of? But Rancor pit + Jabba's palace is what I'm really thinking of. It's not the prettiest thing but realistically it's the best solution in a standard set and as long as both sections are separable, it's not really a problem, it's just up to a consumer which way they prefer

8 sets? I'm talking about 4. And yes, Gringotts with the vaults would be twice as large as others, but it wouldn't be D2C expensive. I imagine the vaults themselves could be about Batcave sive (to accomodate the dragon), plus Gringotts on top, altogether creating about 1500-1700 pieces set. It's a bit much, but not unheard of

One building per wave could potentially work if we knew for certain there would be two waves a year. With 6 main locations (I'm not counting on Lego to recreate anything that wasn't in the movies) this subtheme would be finished in 2,5 years. A good course of action would be to combine the less important (to the plot, i.e. Quidditch Supplies ans Flourish & Blotts) with the more prominent. It could go like this: standalone Gringotts (with the vaults, so already large enough for one set), Leaky Couldron + Quidditch, Ollivander + F&B, Weasleys Shop + Borgin & Burkes. Ideally Gringotts would be detachable from the underground section

I don't think Disney Castle was ever discounted, at least in UK. Some D2Cs are priced down, but usually before retirement. For the train it could happen in 2022 or even later for all we know.

Another stickers galore I wonder if the red curtain pieces are printed though, but it's hard to tell on a close up. The detail all around is pretty great, I especially like the handcuffs on the roof and the mini models. It's a really nice surprise we're actually getting conductor Mickey, recent minifigure leaks fooled us with the Disney Castle version. Don't like the UK price, though. I know it's justified by train tracks and PU motors, but it really shouldn't be more expensive than the castle...

An empty building in a modern set will just not do. Heck, they packed interior detail in a structure that's not even a building (the gates in JP D2C), I'm sure the station has something. I quite love it, although I don't particularly like the fact that it's a train - because I simply have no room for full set of tracks. I'd have to display the train without them, which would make spending extra for the PU motors rather pointless I'll try to think of something but for now I have to put it on hold

Well, for someone like me - visiting Lego store two, maybe three times a year, mostly buying online during double points / GWP and almost always sure of what to get, the new system is not really that different, it just moves the choice to redeem the points to before I browse the sets. But I do understand why it would be a hassle for casual or impulse buyers. Yesterday I had trouble getting any service, I had to ask Lego employee which local wi-fi is the best. I redeemed the points the day before just in case, but logging to my account on the phone in the store definitely wouldn't be that easy.

A few new figures emerged, plus the same Mickey design as in the Disney Castle. Chip and Dale are quite a surprise, love them. Minnie looks pretty nice, too, I'm glad she has a new torso. Goofy... that snout sure is prominent let's hope he'll look better in person.

It is, and I think it's a better solution with the clock resetting after any activity - a purchase or redeeming. It's a shorter time period, but much simpler system than what it used to be I think you mean it was 2000 points. It's not a better deal, the points have the same value, they just multiplied them - by 6,5 in US, by 8 in UK.
