I just saw Ferrero chocolate surprise eggs with Grumpy Sparrows prints in a supermarket. Apparently, TLG is not the only company which thinks the licence is still up to date.

I am not a fan of infuriated magpies, but I see the point. A game which has destruction and construction as its core mechanisms is bound to be embodied in a toy which is made for destruction and construction. Keep in mind that some derivatives of infuriated magpies, the ones with a stress on evil hogs, make you build funny fragile machines. Maybe these are included in the licence.

And here in Germany, 14-year-olds have to comment on the loony party's ideas :-)
-
Are we sure the pegasi's wings are the same mould as the giant eagles'? I am not sure.
-
Haha, I did not know that this party exists. It is mentioned in school books in Germany and I thought it was fiction. Nice torso. Love the tie.

I did not mean to discourage. I like the snout you made. And the ears look cute! It is the first lego potbelly I have ever seen.
-
Nice, interesting and weird :-) Thats really fat even for a potbelly. Wanna be frustrated and/or inspired by the perfection others habe reached: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=70673

Custom animals would be a great thing to see. I am not a moderator, but posting WIPs seems to be ok in the forums here. Announcing projects without showing pictures or asking specific questions is seen as a waste of time by many users. Someone reads the title of a thread and klicks on it because he expects to see interesting things. I think you still might want to read the rules if you are new here.

If you use the "wanted list" Feature in the "by shop" mode, BL will show you sellers that exactly have the figs you list.

Some NBA Basketball figs have arms which are longer than regular arms.

These are the only ones I know: http://www.brickforge.com/store/home.php?cat=594

A purist who wants figs in a shape different from official products? Does not sound very purist any more. But I know what you mean. There are some ways to make legs from a combination of clips, technic links and such. But I don't know where they are.
-
Difficult! I have worked on a dryad once and wanted to make it taller than regular figs. Most techniques have their disadvantages: - using the famous longer legs from the toy story Woody figure -> legs ony come in one color, also the ratio torso/legs looks odd afterwards - using 1x1 plates as shoes -> looks odd, they don't integrate visually with the leg - using 1x2 plates between legs and torso -> looks odd because they are bigger than a waist and a torso, also the studs of the legs need to be cut off - using a hairpiece that looks a bit taller than others I ended up using method 1,2 and 4. By gluing additional parts I covered borders between parts to make it look more coherent. Woody's legs I painted. There are some alternative techniques out there to built custom legs. But they never appealed to me.

Your Ripley is great! Made me remember the scene from Prometheus. -
I just came across this: http://www.brickforge.com/kickstarter/kickstarterhexibrix/ I regard this as quite a good idea! While I am going to wait for additional colors to come out, you might want to join this. Here are some questions and remarks: - Can someone show me a construction of hexibrix which has a horse on it? Does that work for mounted troops? - A good additional idea I think would be a hexibrix which just has normal studs on it, but all over it. One could e.g. build a tree or rock on it and link it with others to make a plate for a regiment.

Do Sets without Minifigures Really Sell Well?
Wardancer replied to Deathleech's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I have also bought the Mines of Moria without figs twice. I do not remember the price, but it was interesting due to the selection of many small dark gray parts.- 14 replies

It started with a Castle Knights Battle back. Who would resist such a set?
