  1. Good news and bad news: Bad Cop Car Chase is indeed $29.99, but Double-Decker Couch is only $14.99!
  2. I figured it had something to do with how prominently cats feature in paperback cozy mysteries, but you might be onto something there. I think there's only one actual cat in the set, but I'm glad it's the rarer orange variant.
  3. Haha exactly! The more I look at it, though, I think Big-whoop-Guybrush is right.
  4. Very top of the barbershop portion - four grey tail pieces are mounted upside down as cornices.
  5. Someone on the Brickset forums is reporting that there will be a follow up to this next summer in the form of a Ferris Wheel.
  6. Speaking of colors, what's the lighter blue on the upper floors of the barbershop? I don't think it's Medium Blue because the cop's torso looks darker than the wall. It also doesn't look green enough to be Medium Azur, so the most likely candidate is Light Royal Blue, which I would welcome since we haven't gotten many basic bricks in that shade yet.
  7. Are we sure those are stickers though? Those would be pretty simple prints, so it's not like the posters on Palace Cinema that pretty much had to be stickers. And the "light yellow" - pretty sure that's tan; the contrast in the photo is just a bit off.
  8. It looks to me like the beard is a recolor of the one from the Fisherman and Santa figures, maybe?
  9. I only really scored one point - I knew about two of the figures already and just used this thread as a sneaky way to drop hints without outing my source. Carpenter, though, that was a lucky guess.
  10. Treasure Island is definitely my favorite of the wave. The skull is really well done - similar enough to previous iterations for a good dose of nostalgia, but with a nicely contoured shape thanks to bow slopes and ogee arches that we didn't have back then. (And it's definitely a huge improvement over 2009's Loot Island.) The lady in red might be my favorite figure of the line, along with the ship's cook. And now that I know it connects to Shipwreck Defense, I might need to get both.
  11. Ummm... I think at this point everything I know about upcoming releases has already been revealed. Oh, except for the hot dog guy. There's a reason I changed my avatar.
  12. I'll come clean here - I actually knew about the unicorn girl months ago. That's why I put "brony" in my guessing game entry.
  13. There's the new sawfish head, and Treasure Island probably includes the new crocodile seen in the swamp sets in next year's City lineup. Speaking of which, I don't suppose anyone's dug up a finalized image of Treasure Island anywhere? That's the one set for which I'm most excited.
  14. What proof do we have that this wave is aimed at a younger bracket?
  15. Ultron upgrades himself repeatedly; my bet is at least one standard minifig and one large brick-built version akin to Groot or the Sentinel.
  16. Sounds about right, though it's possible Shipwreck Defense could be as little as $9.99; that's a more common price point for unlicensed sets of that size. And not to veer too far off topic, but could you pay the DC Super Heroes thread a visit if you have those prices?
  17. LEGO is just Kiddicraft with another name slapped on it. THAT'S RIGHT I WENT THERE
  18. I don't see any new colors of masonry bricks that disappeared from final sets - 60076 has the same colors the prelim had, and as far as I know we don't have final pictures for 60075, which was the set that had sand green bricks in the prelim. (Not that that's technically a new color anyway, but so far it's only in a Fusion set.)
  19. No, it's definitely 76040; we've known that for weeks now. And the jump in set numbers as well as the sixth set may be accounted for by one of them being a retailer exclusive. Of course, there's no concrete reason to believe this list, but there's no solid evidence it's fake either.
  20. I know I found two pizza guys back-to-back in a box too.
  21. Series 5 is in at my LEGO store, and I'm in the Midwest as well. If you ask for a set that's available on the website but not in store, they'll give you a free shipping code.
  22. Weren't the 2013 Super Heroes minifigs revealed at NYCC 2012? Or was that SDCC?
  23. Ok, I can see the water key in the adventure ship, and the earth key in the crystal hollow, and even though we've only seen prelims of the bakery the fire key could clearly be seen in that set. Where is the air key though? I'm not seeing it anywhere in either of the sets with Aira, and I wouldn't think it would be in the treetop hideaway since she's not even in that set.
